Nice week at Carina's! Highlights: - location of the accommodation (2 min from the entrances to expressways and 20 min walk from the city center) - Free parking on the street - clean accommodation and very well-equipped - host's attentiveness upon arrival :) The slightly less strong point is the blind bedroom in the basement and its perceived humidity.

We absolutely loved being right on the ocean! It was within feet of the house!- with the waves crashing and the patio where we ate all our meals, provided an excellent ambiance for our trip. We stayed 6 nights and were so glad we didn’t move around to other places. The promenade next to the house is very scenic and offered a one mile round trip walk along the ocean . Watching the surfers was also a plus.

We had a great time at Susana's place. The accommodation is great, the view is magnificent, and it's very well located for visiting the 4 corners of the island. Quiet while being close to Funchal. Parking is a must. Communication with Susana was very smooth and pleasant, we also had the opportunity to meet her husband several times during our stay who was very friendly and gave us good advice in addition to a warm welcome. Thanks for the fruit, which was excellent! We would 100% recommend this listing!

Family home, nice in a very nice quiet village without a car. We fell in love with Jardim do Mar, its small alleys with its typical gardens! Thank you Sofia, we felt at home 😊🙏

Richard welcomed us warmly and showed us the accommodation, as well as gave tips for excursions. There was a folder with more information and tips in the accommodation. He was always easy to reach and responded immediately. We had a wonderful stay. The house looks like the pictures and everything was very clean and well maintained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BHF Residence. Odette was a wonderful host, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and responding immediately to a mix up with our keys. The residence is located in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood with a view of the ocean, and easy access to restaurants and stores as well as some of the better hiking trails. The layout of the house is perfect for two couples, had all the amenities one would want and everything was super clean. Would highly recommend staying here.

Great location and views

We can't make our stay at Francisco's place. The place met all of our expectations. Once we opened the entrance door, we were captivated by the view through the French doors to the terrace. The view was also fantastic during the day and at night. Everywhere cleanliness, order, beautifully decorated, accessories carefully selected. Kitchen furnished with everything needed. As a nice bonus, we were very pleasantly surprised by the “bluetooth speaker.” The shower had weaker water pressure, but it's probably normal on such a high hill. I recommend a car with a stronger motor, as the access to the accommodation is quite steep. But it doesn't change the fact that we 100% recommend a place to stay! And we wouldn't even consider other accommodations... We're giving 10 stars out of 10.

Very nice clean studio with a little kitchen with all amenities. Beautiful views from the balcony to the ocean and a part of the city. Calm. Elisabete was very friendly and responsive .

Beautiful and very secluded place. The view from the house is amazing & the garden was so beautiful to relax in. The house itself was great. Kitchen wasn’t huge but we made it work - only difficulty was opening the oven door and getting stuff out when it’s so close to the fridge. The road up to the place was very steep and winding, but we managed fine in our car rental. It was tricky parking on the drive so we opted to park across the road instead which was absolutely fine. The home isn’t in walking distance to anything but it was nice to have dinner and the evening at the Airbnb, to enjoy the space :) Would defo stay here again.

We had a lovely stay with the five of us. It lacked nothing, really everything was present (even a cheese slicer, nice for a Dutchman😅). Also a lovely outdoor area with enough furniture for all of us. Highly recommended. I would love to come again.

Lovely apartment, very modern and well equipt with a beautiful terrace that overlooks the ocean and a nice pool area that is shared with 3 other apartments. We had a great time here and location was close to the main coastal road to do many day trips. Be carful with the road to the house, if you are not an experienced driver, it is quite steep. All in all a lovely place to stay!

We stayed 2 nights at this Airbnb during a 10 day Madeira trip. It was excellent, most certainly our favorite spot during the entire trip. The staff was very proactive in taking care of our every need. The breakfast was delicious, the views were top notch, and our place was modern and clean. Book this place NOW!

The accommodation was very comfortable and spacious with a very nice outdoor area where you can enjoy a beautiful view. We had a great time!

Our first visit to Madeira and we had a great time. The villa is immaculate, plenty space, very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. It’s in a great location to explore Funchal and the wider island. There’s quite a hill to climb on the way back up from the town but it was manageable for a group of 65-75 year olds. And if you decide not to walk Bolt taxis are easily available and not expensive. Nuno and Rubina are excellent hosts. Nuno had sent us lots of information before our trip. Very helpful as we were only there for a week so could make some plans in advance. He came to meet us when we arrived to show us where everything was. Any questions were answered quickly with helpful replies. All of the things Nuno suggested that we tried were very good. I would add an evening at Sabor a Fado to his list of places to try. We had a great night there, but it’s a small place so definitely book. I would highly recommend a stay at Nuno and Rubina’s. Excellent!

Our stay in Funchal was perfect. The apartment is extremely well located, just 10 minutes from the center on foot, in a well-traveled place. The fact that there is parking included in the rental is a huge advantage. The apartment was clean and functional, ideal for a couple. The instructions were very clear and very detailed, impossible to get lost in! We recommend 100%. Thanks to our host:-)

The location is in the central of Funchal. Close to a lot of restaurants, grocery stores and public transportation. Walking distance to the ocean. Checking in and out is easy. Our flight arrived early am and we were able to checked in right away. The place is clean and equip with all house supplies necessary. The patio is a plus. The host is very easy to get in touch with. I would definitely stay again.

This apartment was exactly what we wanted. It was right in the mix of cafes and walkable to the city center. The rooftop patio was super cute. We enjoyed coffee and conversation there where we could see the mountains and the ocean at the same time. It was a bit noisy at times because it is literally right outside of several cafes, but for us, the location outweighed this small detail. Also, the cafes don’t stay open late. Overall, I highly recommend this location. The hosts were also great and very responsive. Thank you!!!

Our family stay at this place was perfect. The house, large and beautiful, is in a cul-de-sac and is therefore very quiet. Sandro is friendly, considerate and responsive. I totally recommend it.

We had a lovely stay in this accomodation. It was nice to explore an area outside of Funchal and was a good base to explore around the island. The place was very clean and the view was stunning. The hosts were very kind and friendly at both check in and check out. I would highly recommend!

The Casa was way more than we expected and even better than the pictures promised. Both of the rooms were super pretty and each one had their own bathroom. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had everything we needed to make ourselves some breakfast or dinner. The view from the terrace was absolutely stunning and the Casa is a calm place to come down. As some other visitors already stated a rental car is an absolute must but this is standard once you want to stay outside of Funchal and/or want to get around this beautiful island. Julien was always very helpful and friendly. Definitely one of the best Airbnbs I had so far. We would be happy to get the chance to come back one day!
