Lake house vacation rentals in France

Ben and Georgie have an amazing place in a great location! I would love to tell you all that we hated it in the hopes to gatekeep it for ourselves, however that would be unfair to Ben and Georgie who were absolutely fantastic hosts. The barn has been brilliantly converted, with four great bedrooms and everything you’d need to enjoy and relax. The outdoor space was the highlight for us. Definitely worth going for the spa facilities, the jacuzzi was great and the sauna was far better than we expected. Thanks again to Ben and Georgie! We’ll definitely be visiting again!

Everything has already been said. The fisherman's house is located in an idyllic place and in an Olympian calm. We felt immediately at ease and Denys' welcome was very warm and friendly. Admittedly, some maintenance work is necessary, but as Denys says, various external factors mean that this is not always possible. But the feeling of living in symbiosis with nature makes you forget these small disadvantages.

Wonderful property! The view from the couch upstairs overlooking the Seine is so beautiful and peaceful. I loved watching the boats pass! The property is modern but still has charm. The grounds are also impeccable and very well taken care of! Overall a wonderful property!

A lovely cottage with idyllic surroundings. Very peaceful, right in the heart of the Morvan with an abundance of walks nearby. The dogs loved their break just as much as we did!

Very pleasant stay, we needed a break in a quiet and exotic environment Pari won everything was perfect, homemade breakfast even our little French bulldog had her bone-shaped cookie to accompany us! We had a great weekend with the family at Bernard and Nathalie's house. A very pleasant and friendly personalized welcome for a house where you immediately feel at home thanks to neat decoration, impeccable cleanliness, all the necessary equipment and even more in each room. Young and old enjoyed the activities on the lake and around (very nice lake 10 steps away) thanks to the equipment left available (canoe paddle bike barbecue) and beautiful moments in the evening with the foosball, games and beautiful terrace for meals with lake views. Really a gem, we'll be back and we really recommend this place.

Beautiful house in a beautiful, peaceful environment with lovely heated swimming pool. Hosts were very attentive and easy to get hold of. Lots of very useful information about the area, activities and places to eat before and on arrival. We booked Champagne tours and meal at Chateau de Sacy well before arriving. Perfect location for exploring the Champagne region.

A little bubble, time stopped on these 2 beautiful nights. Everything was perfect, the only thing missing was the eggs from the little chickens 🐓 in the garden. 😊

Accommodation compliant, perfect setting (set back from the center for peace and quiet but not too far to walk), well located in Brittany to be able to go to Roscoff as well as Crozon. A fantastic experience – better than expected When you book an Airbnb, you naturally have certain expectations, shaped by the pictures, the description and the idea of what the stay will be like. All the more beautiful when you find out on site: that the expectations were not only met, they were far exceeded. Upon arrival, we noticed how much love and care Estelle puts into this home. Each room was spotlessly clean, lovingly decorated and designed with an eye for detail. You can immediately tell that someone with passion and dedication is making sure that guests feel comfortable. It wasn't just a place to stay, it was a small, charming temporary home. Estelle as a host was as warm as she was professional. The organization ran smoothly, you felt welcome and in good hands from the first moment. It is this special blend of style, cleanliness, comfort and human warmth. THX ☺️

Our stay at the Old Stable was everything we had hoped for. Nic and Julia were wonderful hosts — thoughtful, attentive, and always available if needed. The property itself is stunning; the studio is beautifully designed and stays pleasantly cool even on the hottest days. We loved enjoying our morning coffee outside, taking in the view and the peaceful sounds of nature all around. Although the house feels wonderfully secluded in the middle of nature, all conveniences like supermarkets and restaurants are just a five-minute drive away. We spent two weeks there, fully unwinding, slowing down, and happily getting back to the essentials. See you soon !!

It was wonderful to stay in a home connected to the history of the Loire area and its architecture. We loved the elegant, tall windows, the high ceilings, the wide hallways, the fire places, the lovely lounge and dining rooms, the views of the climbing roses from the bedrooms along the back side of the house, the spacious, main bedroom and the large garden with it comfortable furniture. We ate outside and enjoyed the garden. The kitchen is pretty but a little narrow for a couple of people to work in there at the same time. It is well equiped, with everything you need to prepare meals. The main bathroom is spacious. The second bathroom is bath only with shower attachment in the bath. It was fine for us. The house is decorated with soft, pastel wall paper and is quite sparse in its decoration which I loved because I could enjoy the structures of the home without them being hidden by too much decoration. We loved our stay and would stay again. Carol also kindly looked after us.

beautiful house with beautiful rooms and neat decoration. the view is splendid. the exterior has several dining areas, balcony, garden and rest area. for the interior the equipment is complete, lots of dishes and utensils to be able to make meals without difficulties. the surroundings, Paladrun lake and villages are a 5-minute walk. In addition, on Sundays there is a very nice market. a big thank you to yoann! for his availability.

We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful house and our expectations were far exceeded. The location is perfectly quiet yet central, so we could easily reach everything in the area. The house itself is tastefully decorated, extremely clean and offers plenty of space for a relaxing break. A special highlight was the incredibly back-friendly mattresses - we rarely slept so well!!! It was really relaxing to wake up rested in the morning. A detail that takes the stay to another level. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and responsive to our questions. They have thought of everything, from small welcome touches to tips for the area. We really felt at home and were able to fully enjoy the time undisturbed. We would recommend this house to everyone without hesitation! A big thank you to the hosts!

Perfect place for a relaxing time Excellent equipment

We stayed here for our first family holiday with our 5 month old and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place for it. As others have mentioned, the property and grounds are even more beautiful than the photos suggest. The property had everything we could need. It was comfortable and beautifully decorated, with high quality finishes and furnishings. It really felt like a home from home. The hosts were kind enough to provide baby equipment too so everything was very easy for the 3 of us. Portets is lovely, with a bakery, pharmacy & supermarket, which was ideal for us as we cooked all our meals at the house. We didn’t have a car but managed with just these facilities nearby, as we were very happy just spending time by the pool & in the house. We also walked to one of the vineyards for a tour which was great. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the loungers, including the cabana which offered some shade. We would recommend this property without hesitation and can’t wait to return!
