Gioviano is a small quiet medieval village 25 kms from the walled city of Lucca in the Garfagnana. The house is peacful and in the heart of this beautiful Tuscan village, if you want to explore the region this is a perfect retreat for a weekend or longer. We are 50 minutes from Pisa airport on the SS12 route. The location is perfect for summer or winter. In summer you can reach the sea, in winter ski in the hills. All year round you can explore the region by foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.

The Little House in Tereglio with Fireplace

Our beautiful and cozy house is located in the charming village of Tereglio in the beautiful Serchio valley in the province of Lucca, 6 km from the nature reserve of the Orrido di Botri and 10 km from the Canyon Park adventure park. The house is in the center of the village; the parking lot is about 60 m away. Accommodation facilities are present. The house is a great base for visiting nearby towns such as Barga and Coreglia, both of which are among the most beautiful villages in Italy.

The Sound of Barga-Tuscany

Throughout the summer, Barga comes alive with many typical food fairs, music festivals and art exhibitions. The house is set within olive groves, fruit trees, and forests, with stunning views all around. The garden is perfect for dining 'al fresco' and enjoy the view and sound of the bells of its majestic cathedral. Barga is only 40 mins from Lucca, 50 from Pisa and 90 from Florence. Please note there is a 1€ tourist tax per person for the first 3 nights to be paid cash upon arrival.

From here there are bike and walking, summer and winter hiking trails. On site, e-bikes and snowshoes can be rented. The Castellare in Mammiano

Il Castellare is in a panoramic and quiet location north of the village of Mammiano. From the windows of the apartment, on the second floor, you can admire the surrounding landscape from Monte San Vito, the gaze passes towards the Penna di Lucchio, the Towers of Popiglio up to the unmistakable peaks of the Open Book. The famous Suspension Bridge, also illuminated at night, does not go unnoticed. You can also walk to the village of San Marcello in about 15 minutes.
