Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Exuma

My friends and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Ingrid’s beautiful Airbnb in Georgetown, Exuma over the weekend, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we could tell we had chosen the perfect place. Ingrid’s home was not only spotlessly clean, but also fully equipped with everything we could possibly need — it honestly felt like a home away from home and so peaceful. Every little detail was thoughtfully arranged to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location could not have been more perfect. We were just minutes from the airport, which made arriving and departing incredibly convenient, and we were right near the Regatta site, which was a huge plus since we spent a lot of time there enjoying the festivities. Being so close to everything made our weekend stress-free and allowed us to make the most out of every moment.

Jack’s Island House was phenomenal. The house itself was clean and extremely well appointed. There were more than enough towels, water pressure in the showers was amazing, the outdoor showers are a dream, the mattresses are comfortable, pillows are fluffy. It was all great. No complaints. The kitchen has more spices than I do at home and every utensil you need to cook. We cooked dinner almost every night. The view is stunning and literally takes your breath away every morning. I will miss morning coffee on the deck looking out at the blue water. I think Jack could charge double for his place- I was truly in awe of where we stayed. We vacation 2-3x per year and usually stay in an AirBnb because we have 3 kids- I can say without a doubt this is the best place we’ve ever stayed at. Both Jack and the house manager were so helpful and responsive for any questions we had. We were so very sad to leave!!!

We had an amazing holiday, and this was mostly thanks to Alicia, the co-host of this apartment. From day one, she offered us to drive us to the most wonderful beaches and since she knows the island very well we couldn’t have a better experience. She has given us the best advices on where to go, what to do and who to refer to for excursions. The house was amazing, very big and in a very safe and quiet zone. It had everything someone could need, from the kitchen, to the bathrooms, the bedrooms and living rooms with comfortable sofas and a big TV. We were impressed by Alicia’s kindness towards us, she treated us like close friends from day one and we were extremely pleased to had the opportunity to enjoy her company during our holiday. If you are visiting Exuma, you really want her to be your host, trust me! She will give you the best advices ever to visit every corner of this precious island, to appreciate every moment spent there. Grateful to have chosen Alicia and this apartment!

Absolutely fantastic! Just what we were looking for. Situated perfectly on top of a hill, overlooking the ocean, the views were unbelievable. We stayed 8 nights with our two adult children and their partners. Stephen’s house was perfect, giving everyone private space yet with a large communal area; kitchen, living room, and patio for coming together for meals and card games. Although it’s described as “off the grid” we lacked for nothing. Hot tub, pool, full laundry, a/c, a well managed house. We were more aware of our environment footprint, yet we lacked for nothing nor did we go without. We lived just like we were at home. Even with the remote house location there were two perfect rustic beach shacks within 10 minute walks along the beach. We had great food and drink service at both. Finally the beach, over a mile of unspoiled paradise. Shallow clear waters, beautiful colors, insanely peaceful. Absolutely no crowds. At most we saw maybe 30 people on the busiest day.

Wow, this place is absolutely stunning! Nestled right on the beach with its own private pool, this house is a true gem. We had a group of nine, and everyone had their own spacious and comfortable room, making us feel right at home. I highly recommend sticking to the host’s recommendations. We tried a restaurant that wasn’t recommended, and it was quite a hassle to get there and out of the way. One thing to note is that the ocean can be a bit rocky, so make sure to bring water shoes. But don’t worry, a pair of flip-flops will suffice just fine. Overall, this place was incredible! I can’t wait to come back. Oh, and Martin was incredibly responsive. We needed a pack and play and paper towels, and they were delivered within 30 minutes.

Our family really enjoyed our time at Seabreeze Villa. The house and location were absolutely beautiful. The kayaks and paddle boards were a great bonus to explore the flats on the beach access in the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked which worked out great for us, we cooked most our meals at the house. The only thing I would point out would be that the backyard has a lot of overgrowth (more than in booking photos), blocking off some of the absolutely stunning views - but that detail is trivial. The host was extremely helpful with recommendations and responsive.

This house is even nicer than it looks in pictures. The rooms are huge, and the views are AMAZING! We were so pleasantly suprised. Robert was out of town during our stay, but Cameron was so helpful and Robert still kept in touch throughout our stay. There were a couple of issues that came up, but Cameron and Robert took care of them immediately. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Dave is a great host and Kestrel Cottage is the perfect spot to get away and relax for a few days. Just about everything is perfect. My only request: a cookie sheet would be great :) Other than that, the place is well located and has everything you need. Dave answers quickly and makes staying there easy. We'll be back!

Khrazia was amazing. She allowed us to check in after 7am even though check in was at 3 pm . The place was really clean and AC was on when we got in. It was extremely easy to access the keypad. Nice clean towels were on the bed and when we walked in the place smelled amazing. It was a pleasure to stay there . She was also very responsive. Perfect for a weekend getaway and very close to town. That’s what we loved .

Sheila’s “Lower Deck Apartment” was a perfect jump off spot for our active family of four. Although not within practical walking distance from the beach or amenities, everything was a short drive away. Groceries, restaurants, beaches, boat rentals, etc. were nearby. You will need a rental car if you stay here, or get really good at arranging taxis. We couldn’t find snorkeling gear to rent, so we bought some where Sheila recommended and donated it to the house. The apartment is peaceful and pretty with just enough of the basics to cook most anything. The beds are plastic coated, which we figured is normal in the tropics. But it does make for noisy shifts in the night. All in all, we would like to return to Sheila’s place should Exuma be a future destination. The island is just wonderful with excellent splashing and snorkeling, and the many locals we interacted with were warm. The general easygoing vibe there affected the whole family.

We really enjoyed our stay! It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Loved the little beach across from Airbnb and nearby restaurants.

I enjoyed my time at Marisa's Air bnb . It was the same as the photos and she was very helpful with answering my questions and assisting me. I will book again.

Great location and place to stay while visiting Exuma, Very clean and lots of space for the two of us or more. Convenient area to walk to splash bar across the street or to Jolly hall and enjoy the beach. Beach towels/cooler/sunscreen was also available on hand to make the most of our beach days. Clinton was very responsive and accommodating for any needs or questions. I will definitely be booking with Clinton again when returning to Exuma.

The location was perfect! Very own beach area, with SUP and kayaks at our disposal. So peaceful and private, yet not too far from town. The property manager, Lott, was fantastic, and so helpful. We went on excursions most days; rented a boat and toured Elizabeth Harbour; went to every beach we could find...all exquisite and peaceful. Weather for us, couldn't have been any better. Took a day long tour to Staniel Cay which was super fun and filled with lots of cool activities. Touristy but a must see, sort of thing. Looking forward to going back to Exuma.

Spędziliśmy z żoną 5 fantastycznych dni na pięknej, dziewiczej i niezadeptanej, jak na dzisiejsze czasy wyspie Exuma. Domek naszego gospodarza składa się z 2 bliźniaczych apartamentów położonych na uboczu, w bardzo spokojnej i cichej okolicy. Nasz gospodarz był bardzo kulturalny, miły, komunikatywny i pomocny w każdej sprawie z jaką się do niego zwróciliśmy. Rekomendował nam atrakcje turystyczne, gastronomię i lokalne biura z wycieczkami fakultatywnymi i miejscami , które warto zobaczyć. Posiada dużą wiedzę na temat swojego kraju i panujących tu zwyczajach. W apartamencie znajduje się wszystko, co potrzebne do pobytu wakacyjnego. Klimatyzacja, jak wszystkie urządzenia działają bez zarzutu. Bardzo wygodna i czysta łazienka. Dodatkowym atutem było wypożyczone auto, w cenie apartamentu (mimo, że nie był to najnowszy model Ferrari wszędzie nas dowiózł). Przemieszczanie się po wyspie, zwiedzanie przepięknych plaż i atrakcji bez auta byłoby nie możliwe. Zapewnia transfer z i na lotnisko.

Sandy Beach Cottages had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas! It allowed us to spend longer time on the beautiful beaches! Plenty of beach towels and bed linens. House was equipped with everything we needed. Host was quite friendly and very responsive. Only downside was being on the bottom floor. People above us had heavy footsteps. Pictures are a little deceiving in that there are other buildings nearby. However, they didn’t seemed occupied, so parking and beach in front were vacant! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The studio at Hideaways is perfect for a solo traveler or a couple, it was clean, right across the street from the beach, and had a delicious on site restaurant. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Exuma!

Si trova a Little Exuma in zona dove non c'è quasi nulla. Casa nellla tranquillità di Barraterre bellissima e appena ristrutturata tutto nuovo . Attrezzata di tutto quello che serve Si sviluppa su due piani co 2 camere(una matrimoniale e una con 2 Letti singoli)ciascuna con bagno Un bagnetto anche in comune Cucina piccola ma attrezzata di tutto x 4 Ci ha fornito anche boccioni di acqua e bibite in frigorifero. Piano terra speculare . Alnnesso un locale con lavatrice asciugatrice e tutti i detersivi All'esterno 4 lettini da sole per relax. Molto vento la sera ma non so se è il periodo Jenny(la moglie)è stata sempre disponibile per qualsiasi cosa(ci ha aiutati anche con le escursioni)e una mattina ci ha cucinato la colazione tipica bahamense. The apartment was everything we could've wished for. We had an amazing time. The location was great, 2 min drive to our favorite now Fish Fry, 5 min drive to downtown. There is a beach within 4 min walk. My husband walked from Hideaways. The apartment was clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed. The washer and dryer were a life saver for us. Tamara and Dallas were very responsive to our inquiries. I had accidentally booked the morning arriving flight instead of afternoon, they had the apartment ready for us to check in early in the morning, and accommodated us with late check-out to match our flight schedule. I hope we could stay here again if we plan another trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kelly’s condo being on the second story we could have an amazing view of the sunrise over the water. The condo was way bigger than we thought. It would be with the full kitchen and living room. Kelly was so helpful with all of the directions And suggestions on what to do!

Marina was an absolute wonderful host. She was very responsive, helpful and friendly. I never felt like a burden when reaching out with questions. When we arrived she had even bought a bottle of Chardonnay for my husband and I as we were on our honeymoon. Very thoughtful. The unit was cute and perfect. It was in the back but that just made it that much more private. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall great stay. We stayed in Villa #3 and it was prettier than it looked in the pictures. You can see the beach from living room and has a nice seating area just in front of the door. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Margaret was a great host and addressed few small issues immediately. The ocean was windy with lots of waves during our stay so we couldn't enjoy the beach in front of the villa much but that was our luck. It is very close to the airport but in this island you will almost definitely need a rental car. Also not related to our stay here, but we flew with Bahamas Air and they brought our luggage only the next day and we were told that they do this all the time. Keep this in mind and be prepared if you fly to Exuma with them.

We loved every bit of our stay. The owner was responsive and very friendly. There is a bar/restaurant right in front of it- super convenient, and we met the owner of that restaurant who was also very friendly. It is a popular spot for the locals at night. The home was clean, no complaints. There is AC in both of the bedrooms, which is great, but not in the living room/kitchen. That was not a problem for us with the temperature during April, and able to feel the breeze through the screen at times. The beach is gorgeous and private. It was one of our favorite beaches that we had visited/experienced. We saw starfish, an eagle ray, and lots of fish right off the beach. We stayed at Hoopers Bay at another airbnb right after this stay, and we prefer this spot. Hoopers is nice and very convenient to shops, grocery, and restaurant options. But this spot is mixed in with the locals and the culture. We hope to be back again soon!
