It was a perfect location for exploring the redwoods both north and south of the home. The yard was securely fenced and tall hedges to increase privacy and keep the dogs safe. The neighborhood is cute and there is a local city park with all sorts of trails 5 minutes away to walk the dogs at in the morning. The Humboldt state park was about 50 minutes south, prairie creek 50 minutes north, and Jedediah smith 1.5 hours north. Overall a perfect central location for getting all the sight seeing in! The guest house had everything we needed and was a perfect place to relax after a busy day!

what more could you dreams of when you wake up and there are dear grazing underneath your balcony, amazing experience ! well worth the minor detour we have taken.

This attractive downtown cottage was lovely, convenient, and centrally located among many things to do in Arcata. The space provided everything I needed for my stay and the host was left clear instructions for check-in, amenities, and things to do. When I return to Arcata, I would definitely book this place or another space hosted by Humboldt Vacation Rentals. Thank you so much!

Couldn’t recommend it more! The warm and welcoming owners instantly made us feel at home, sharing their passion for hosting and local tips. The beautifully decorated bungalow was cozy and comfortable, surrounded by lovely gardens that created a serene atmosphere. Breakfast was a highlight, as we were given fresh eggs from the charming chickens on the property! Overall, our stay was a perfect blend of relaxation and hospitality

Trinidad is such a gem! From Michelle's place, it's a short walk to some bluffs with an incredibe view, and a little further to beautiful Trinidad State Beach and Trinidad head. Michelle's place was just what we needed to relax and get cozy in between trips to nearby beaches, tide pools and redwoods. Michelle was very communicative and check-in and check-out was easy. We just love Ferndale, and have been staying in the perfect and quaint Victorian town for decades on and off. This Airbnb is right downtown, could not be closer to the restaurants and the shops, and historic cemetery. The old barn is a delight, with a lovely view of the back. The proprietors have thought of everything, every little detail and amenity. Charming, quaint, the perfect kind of place to stay at when visiting Ferndale. Highly recommend.

The Airbnb was exceptional, quiet and clean. The loft had an abundance of room for our needs and we loved the extra security of having a gated entrance. Erica was a gracious host who even gave us recommendations we in fact used for our Redwoods adventures. She made the whole Airbnb process easy and inviting.

Amy’s place is a perfect little get away in beautiful Arcata. Tucked away from downtown but still very accessible. The moment you enter you feel right at home with all the modern amenities and very comfortable bed. I will definitely be reserving this space in the future.

The home was so warm and easy to spend time inside and right outside. The interior is well insulated and gets great natural light, and the yard is so relaxing and charming (and a real treat to walk through at nighttime!). Home furnishings, appliances, and fixtures all function great and feel so chic. The decor is also vibrant and organic, unlike hotels or cookie-cutter rentals. Tibora's home was a perfect hub for adventuring around town and throughout Humboldt, and she was an attentive host even while completing a 3-day, multi-terrain, bike race :D Thanks so much!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is clean and cozy, the outdoor shower is also super enjoyable. We brought our e-scooters and it was a quick trip to downtown for the farmers market and dinner. Highly recommend this location!

We had an amazing stay. We rented the room in her house and the tiny home in the backyard because there were three of us. Irene and her partner were warm and welcoming while also giving us the rest and privacy we needed. All the spaces were clean and warm and quiet and accessible. We were so comfortable and at home! Added bonus, her dog Cider is so sweet.

This home is situated in one of the best neighborhoods in humboldt county! It’s incredibly quiet, very safe, and surrounded in tranquil redwoods and I feel really I found this place and was lucky to stay here! The small house is really quaint and has really cute little handmade paintings on the walls. Has everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The gardens on the property are really beautiful too. The host was really easy to communicate with! Highly recommend - very special little community here in Freshwater.

The space was great for a 2 night stay for my roadtrip north. It was very comfy and cozy, with super cute decor! As other reviews state, the shower is quite small (luckily I am a petite person). The best thing about the stay was the fact that Marlen was so warm and responsive! Leading up to the reservation and during, Marlen was very helpful. At one point the heat wasn't turning on and she came over right away to fix it. I would definitely stay here again!

Cottage was adorable. Location was excellent as our son lives right around the corner. Loved the woodsy setting. We had our little Maltese and he felt right at home. Our little house was so private. Will definitely stay in the future.

Great host! Our stay was perfect! A little get away from the city. The alpacas and chickens are just adorable and entertaining. We had dinner on the deck enjoying the view for the farm. Thank you for the wine and eggs, Pam!!

Perfect place for my transition while I was relocating. It was such a peaceful and comfortable place to make my home while in the process of buying a house in the area. Sara and Peter were wonderful hosts. They made me feel like I really belonged here. Exceptionally quiet and serene home. I couldn't imagine a more inviting place to retreat to while I worked through the moving process.

First off, Kathy and Brian were very welcoming and friendly. You couldn't ask for better hosts. The neighborhood is really nice and quiet, an excellent place to work remotely, but just a minute away from town. The unit is very clean and comfortable with a surprising amount of storage space for a one bedroom. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again if in the area.

We loved our stay in Blue Lake! Jason was an excellent host and made sure we had all the things we needed. Check in and check out was easy. The town of Blue Lake is so cute, its a short walk to the coffee shop and town bar. I would love to stay here again!

We had a quick weekend away and stayed overnight at the village bungalow. Such a great little spot! Super quiet, peaceful, in a beautiful area, in a great little town! Looks just like the pictures. The hosts happened to be outside when we arrived and were super friendly and totally gave us our space and privacy while letting us know there were there if we needed anything. Great place!

It was a joy to stay here! My husband and two friends of ours stayed here for a wedding. There was plenty of space for all of us, the backyard is absolutely stunning and we felt right at home. The house is super close to town where there is some fun vintage shopping and restaurants. We ended up extending our stay by a day and the host made it incredibly easy and efficient. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time staying here. It was quiet and peaceful, and very comfortable. It's a beautiful location in the trees, but just a quick drive to downtown Arcata and the 101.
