We had a great weekend staying here - lovely for a relaxing break, and not too far from local towns for things to do. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Thank you!

Stunning two bedroom stable cottage Glanton Pyke

LesleyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A wonderful short break. The cottage is beautifully designed, with gorgeous furnishings and decor, and has everything you need, as well as being spotlessly clean. All the little details are lovely. The shower is amazing, the sofa very comfy, and the fire looked tempting but we didn't need it (sadly!), as the cosy underfloor heating kept us lovely and warm. The setting is peaceful, with a view of the private garden from the kitchen, and the walled garden is very special. We enjoyed trips to the lovely Northumberland coast, about a 30-40 minute drive away, as well as a walk from the door. This was one of the loveliest cottages we've ever stayed in, and we plan to return at some point.

Cosy getaway in beautiful Northumberland.

CarolynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Immaculate accommodation with lovely little touches such as the goats milk soap/ shampoo ( locally made) & basket of goodies left for us. Large comfy bed, spacious and light with plenty of head height in the 2nd floor bedroom. Views of cows in the fields Safe bike storage a bonus A local map would have been welcome… Clearer directions re. where to turn onto the lane would have been useful… we got as far as the Priory before we could turn back round, but maybe we were expecting a more obvious lane. Amazing dark skies- my partner spent his time gazing out of the Velux windows “listening”to the silence & naming h the stars! Fabulous market in Alnwick (Saturday) - we tasted loads of local produce & purchased lunch as well as gifts to take home including fudge, jams/ marmalade, hats& a picture of sycamore gap. Super friendly people too. Cragside (NT) is stunning & fascinating in equal measure. We hope to return to the area soon.

Owl Apartment , lovely 2 Bed apartment.

CharlesRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The owl Apartment is a really well provided holiday space, right in the centre of town, and a perfect centre for exploring this area. There is nothing you will lack, and I would thoroughly recommend The Owl and Rothbury as a most relaxing holiday destination. Walks, nearby stately homes, beautiful scenery , and fine local food and drink. We look forward to returning! Charlie and Mary from High Peak.

Great location. A really cosy country retreat. Very well appointed kitchen...equipped for real cooking! Very responsive hosts before & during our stay. Lots of helpful pre-visit information supplied, especially good places to eat like the Fish Shack at Amble & The Angler's Arms in Weldon - both dog and dog owner friendly!
