Fantastic cabin, very well equipped, comfortable bedrooms, the hot-tub was fun for the family. Views of the lake are stunning. Would highly recommend. Location was great - just a short drive to Sugar Bowl.

Creating memories with adult children who are living their own lives can be hard to schedule. We found the perfect opportunity for a quick weekend getaway hosted by Leif. What we thought we were getting was a house big enough to host our group. What we got, was so much more! As soon as you walk into the space, you realize that the pictures you saw on the posting do not do justice to the real thing. You’re transported into another era where life slows down and you realize the simplest of things are the really important things: like family. My children especially enjoyed the opportunity to meet Leif’s animals and feed them rinds and banana peels. Peanut was the star of the show ( if you know, you know). Thank you, Leif, for a beautiful weekend that provided a much needed respite, but offered so much more than we were expecting. We can’t wait to come back and make this a family tradition though next time we will stay longer and be more prepared with our animal food supplies : )

Well appointed and clean, the host was incredibly friendly and responsive, usually within minutes. The location is great just a short walk to the lake with grass, picnic tables, a nice walking/biking/running path, and generally a great recreational area.

Wow! What a gorgeous cabin and location. We really enjoyed our weekend at Leah's house. It's beautifully decorated, has high-end appliances throughout and everything was spotless. Entry/exit was easy and there was garage parking for our car. The cabin even has a view of Donner lake.

We’ve been coming to Incline for several years now and this was our best trip yet! Cindy’s place was incredible! So cozy, clean and perfect for our family. The location was everything! We had our own private gated community beach away from all the large crowds. It was so perfect. We swam just about everyday. We brought a small electric raft boat and cruised along the coast and did a little fishing. We brought our electric bikes and rode the east shore trail everyday! We LOVE Hidden Beach! We would go down early morning and save a spot for the day. So beautiful. We ate at Incline Burgers, the rotisserie place next door and also cooked several meals at home. They even have a crock pot which was awesome! Boys golfed while the girls relaxed at the beach. We hiked up to Monkey Rock around 7am which is the best time to go. Not crowded at all. Our teens will remember this trip forever. Memories for a lifetime! We can’t wait to come back to Cindy’s place! Thank you!

We loved our stay in Lake Tahoe! This place worked out very well for my husband and our two boys, ages 7&5! We felt like we were close to many activities and loved the privacy of the backyard hot tub after the kiddos went to bed. Place was clean and cozy and had all the amenities of home. Host was responsive and even recommended some hikes that were kid friendly! Would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay here again!

We made a multigenerational trip to Bear Valley (grandparents, parents, and grandkids) and stayed in Robin’s cabin. We could not have had a better experience. If you know bear valley, you will appreciate that this is a classic bear valley cabin but one that has been lovingly and meticulously maintained and appointed. It’s the perfect cabin in the woods and so comfortable. We can’t wait to come back!

Great place with all what you need. We went my kids 4&6 and Grandpa&Ma along with me and my wife. Plenty of space for everyone and the view is very bliss. Bill is a great communicator. Thanks

We enjoyed the stay at Tina's place. Her house is in a quite neighborhood and very close to the sugar pine point state park. Tina provided very detailed check-in instruction and the place is well-equipped (you can even use the bikes from the shed). We had an issue with the hot water from the shower and she quickly communicated back and arranged for the fix. I recommend to stay in this place.

Stayed at Burt’s place while attending a herding trial in Gardnerville with our dogs. The place was perfect! It was so peaceful and quiet. Kitchen was well stocked and a joy to cook in. The dogs enjoyed the yard. Beds were super comfortable, locals were very nice. The restaurant next door, Stonefly, is pricey but the food and ambiance is excellent. We will definitely be back again!

We had a very nice weekend at the cabin. The pictures don’t do it justice . It was very clean and perfect for a relaxing stay. We will definitely be coming back.

My family had a great time at this cabin on the river! It was a beautiful location, my kids have the best time exploring the yard and river and have already asked to go back! Also, all the little extra spices/condiments, etc. in the kitchen were a huge plus for cooking meals in the nicely stocked kitchen.

Nicolas’s home is excellent — clean, spacious, and very comfortable for more than just a short stay. The terrace is great for BBQ, and the shade from the acacia tree makes it perfect for breakfast outdoors. We truly appreciated that the house is pet-friendly. We had two large dogs, and they loved the small fenced area and dog door. Please clean up after your pets if you bring them too. Upstairs has several bedrooms, one with a beautiful sky and forest view. The kitchen is well-equipped (though a few more dishes would be great), laundry is available, and internet is strong. TV works well too. The host lives next door but gives you total privacy. Nicolas was always helpful and respectful. Only two small notes: the house is close to a road (not an issue for us), and we hoped the hot tub was in a more cozy location — we didn’t end up using it. Great location: close to wineries, an apple farm, shops, and gas stations. We visited Sacramento, Sonoma, Napa ,even Lake Tahoe to San Francisco

If you’re looking for a peaceful nature retreat with friends and family—or a private, romantic escape to recharge with your partner—stop scrolling and book this place. You won’t find a better value, a more charming historic cabin, or a more thoughtful host near Truckee and Lake Tahoe. It was a one-of-a-kind stay we’re really glad we experienced.

We had a great stay! The cabin was very clean and thoughtfully designed with lots of details that make it feel like a high-quality retreat, especially for families. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked—much better than most rentals—and made cooking easy and enjoyable. The cabin stayed warm overnight even without turning on the heat, and the WiFi was reliable enough for a work video call. Beds and mattresses were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and blankets for everyone. One thing to note for families with young kids: I wouldn’t recommend it for toddlers, as the stairs are steep and the heater is floor-mounted. Fortunately, our child was old enough for it not to be an issue. A small tip: the melamine plates are very cute, but not microwave-safe—learned that the hard way! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Absolutely Incredible Stay! We had the most amazing experience staying at this property. The Susan was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The house itself exceeded all our expectations — it was spacious, beautifully designed, exceptionally comfortable, and cozy. The coffee machine was lovely. It was such a treat to wake up each morning and enjoy a great cup of coffee in such a cozy and stylish space. We truly didn’t want to leave. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a top-tier stay, and we cannot wait to come back! Thank you so much Susan!

Very cozy and quaint place. There’s a lake just at a walking distance from the house. Robert is an extremely polite and friendly host and very responsive to all questions. We have 2 dogs and Robert was so thoughtful to provide toys, poop bags and even fur combs! There’s fun board games as well. A very nice stay and highly recommended for anyone visiting Lake Tahoe (30 mins only) or just chilling.

Great location and lovely place. Easy access and great communication with Amy. This is a perfect place for 2 if you want to escape to Tahoe for a long weekend.

This property is a rare gem and we look forward to coming back for years to come. Everything was clean and as described. It was a perfect getaway for me and my little family. The river and everything about the property was absolutely beautiful. Misti was a wonderful host and very responsive and kind. We wish we stayed longer, never wanted to leave!!!!

I can’t say enough about David’s place. This little cottage has all the feelings of home. It’s super cozy and has a great location. The view is stunning from the deck. David was great about communicating with me and responding to questions. I hope to be able to return to Lake Tahoe someday and I will definitely look into staying here again. Thank you so much for sharing your little spot of paradise with us!

Kathryn’s home is, by far, the nicest place we’ve ever stayed. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the kitchen and family room were absolutely stunning, filling the space with natural light and gorgeous views. Every detail—from the furniture to the decor—was thoughtfully curated and beautiful. The beds were incredibly comfortable, truly the best we’ve ever slept in! We stayed for a weekend staff training retreat with a group of 11, and everyone had more than enough space to relax and enjoy. The game room was a hit, complete with Pac-Man, air hockey, and darts. We especially loved the porch off the kitchen—it was the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening s’mores. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Everything came as expected. Terrific views from the deck, quieter slower pace etc. the real heart & souls of the place is Nancy whom will take the time to show you the cabin in person and make sure you’re taken care of.
