Located right on the lakefront in the yard of our home, this small cottage has electricity, not an indoor toilet. Sauna water is taken from the lake with a pump, but you can get drinking water from the faucet of the main house. One of the beds is 160cm and the other is a retractable couch. A rowing boat at your disposal and one (or 2) lightweight kayak. On the beach, it is recommended to wear swimming shoes (small stones at the beginning). 15 km to the city and about 8 km to the village of Siilinjärvi. The nearest store is about 4 km and the gas station is 3.7 km away.

Close to good fishing, berry picking, and outdoor terrain. Kuopio 35 km, Riistavesi 10 km. The renter has access to a paddle board and a rowboat, as well as Wi-Fi. If necessary, linen/towel rental 10e/person, final cleaning 80e extra. The price includes the use of the hot tub.

You are warmly welcome to stay at Kulkurie's cottage, where Saimaa opens directly behind the window. In this hut, you can see the sunrises from the parade site and you can admire when Saimaa quiets down for the night. You will also follow a dizzy flight of birds up close and perhaps you will see a swan couple flag near the hut. (NOTE: The hut in the photo moves elsewhere in the spring of 25, and there are two new similar huts. Don't be confused about the photos, they'll change as long as I get new photos of the new huts!)

Beautiful log cabin with an indoor sauna. The place was clean and free of clutter. bed was very comfortable and I finally got some sleep without hearing cars or people. There is also a very charming outdoor sauna next to the lake that looks like a tiny fairytale cottage.

Nice and Quiet area. The apartment is very modern, equipped with everything you need. Alena was very accommodating and helpful. The stay was very pleasant.

Great hosts and a great place to stay. The location is beautiful. Located directly at the national park, you can go hiking right at your doorstep. The jetty to the lake is great for swimming. On the covered terrace you sit very comfortably. Asmo and Hannele were great hosts who were always available. We felt very at home.

We had a lovely 3 day stay here and just didn’t want to leave,it was so calm and peaceful, gave us time to relax and recharge and enjoy each others company after a busy few days around Helsinki. The days just flew by with kayaking, rowing, sauna, dips in the lake and BBQ’s etc, we loved the rustic charm of the cabin and facilities and never got board of the amazing Lakeland view.

This was our second time at this location and already planning the third visit for later in the year. Ulla is an amazing host, very responsive and so lovely and friendly. The house is wonderful. Peaceful, quiet, the wood burning sauna is amazing and the lake was refreshing. We are definitely coming back again!
