Vacation rentals with a fireplace in East Frisian Islands

Very quiet location, a bit remote, no footpaths. Spacious rooms with good amenities and a huge garden. Ideal for families with children and dogs. Everything is clean and maintained. Easy, flexible check-in. Hostess is available at any time. Absolutely recommended.

The house is in a great location, along the street that leads to the beach and a few minutes walk from the village and shops; it is bright and tastefully furnished; the interior spaces are very spacious, we have stayed there in three but it is suitable for more people; comfortable beds and good cleanliness; very large and well equipped kitchen; large manicured garden; a house full of charm and well inserted in the atmosphere of the island

Staying at Ralph's was wonderful. The garden was so enchanting and my little furry friend especially liked it very much. Communication with Ralph was quick, friendly and solution-oriented when we had problems. The rooms were large, very clean and the amenities of the whole house were perfect for us. The house had many loving details that you discovered step-by-step, such as humorous sayings on signs, various garden figures, etc. You can see how much love for detail is and was put into it. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed every breakfast in the morning on the covered terrace with birdsong. This place is highly recommended without exception.

Jan's beach house is really beautiful. The view from the bed to the lake at dawn alone is wonderful. But also a barbecue evening on the terrace, while the kids were digging in the private beach, was fantastic and a reason why we will come back. Jan always responded quickly and was very friendly. We felt very comfortable. Thanks for the thanks for this experience :)

We stayed at Katharina's for just one night, but could very well imagine a longer stay! Very nice quiet residential area, the city center is within easy walking distance.

The few days with Volker were very nice. We felt right at home after being warmly welcomed by Volker. The apartment is the perfect place for a break, and we got lots of tips for nice excursions. Volker was always a helpful contact person and impeccable host. My child was able to feed Volker's chickens and collect the eggs, we were allowed to help ourselves in the spacious herb garden and pancakes were fried for us at the communal campfire. Thank you for the wonderful time! We will hopefully and gladly come back. :-)

A small but comfortable apartment with all the facilities. The bathtub was lovely. The value for money was fine.

Had a fantastic stay! The place was beautiful - exactly as pictured, or even better! Hannes & Delphine were genuinely friendly and full of helpful local tips. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience - would happily book again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

What a nice cottage this is. Nice and spacious for 2 people. Deliciously cool with the warmer weather. In this cottage, a lot of effort has been made to make everything fit together nicely. Everything is thought of, coffee maker, kettle. But also coffee and tea. Really nice that they think along with the people who come. We enjoyed the cottage and the area and will definitely come back. A spacious house in which everything you need is available. Beautifully quiet location. No view and you can walk from the backyard into the Drents Friese Wold. On the motion camera at night in the forest, a badger, stone marten and several foxes were spotted. A very complete kitchen and a wonderful bed. And easy key transfer using the lockbox. A very nice stay.

We were in Hoogersmilde for four days with 6 adults, a baby and a dog. We liked the vacation home, the fenced garden and the outdoor seating options very much. The beds were great and it was nice that there were fly screens on the windows and sliding door to the terrace. We liked the house and the nature reserve very much, so we can imagine coming back again.

Our group had a very great time at this lovely accommodation. The location directly by the water was relaxing and offered beautiful views. The house was clean, well-equipped, and comfortably furnished. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly. We’d definitely consider coming back.

We had a lovely week with our two children (5 and 8 years) in the cottage on the Schildmeer. We were able to swim almost every day and otherwise explored the surroundings (Groningen, Appingedam, Delfzijl). The amenities are better than indicated: there is toilet paper, hand soap, hand and tea towels and a large selection of cooking utensils and spices in the kitchen. There is no oven, but a microwave where we prepared our casserole. We had a good time and say thank you very much!

We were expecting a spacious house in the 60s/70s style with an equally large property. All rooms and the garden are really huge, this one is also really beautiful. The house is right on the west coast clinic, walking distance to beautiful downtown. We didn't lack anything in terms of amenities. We felt like we were immersed in a strange family life and treated everything with respect.

Wonderful place to recover on Oranjewoud estate. You have a large garden for yourself with even a piece of forest where there is a surprisingly beautiful seat by the water, even a kingfisher has been seen. It was such beautiful weather during our stay that we only sat inside a little but the living room with beams and the high ceiling is also very nice to stay

Highly recommended!! Great cottage: nice decor, sparkling clean and equipped with every comfort. The contact with Herman is very pleasant, and he responds quickly. Finally, Appelscha is really fun to explore. In short: book!
