What a lovely wing of a beautiful, artfully decorated old house. We loved the out door kitchen BQ area and the lovely homemade rolls and marmalade for breakfast each morning with fresh coffee. Beautiful garden to explore and our dog was made very welcome. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful. Parking too! 😀

A great stay and perfect breakfast! A nice bed and good shower in a particularly attractive farmhouse in a quiet natural green area. Iris is doing well, communicates nicely and I'd love to come back.

Dear Linda, We enjoyed a thoroughly delightful stay at your b&b. The scenery was picturesque: an old Dutch farmhouse with a thatched roof set in a beautiful Dutch countryside. I got up for an early morning run and taking in the surrounding area was just a perfect way to start my day. Running among the canals and bridges and breathing the fresh morning air made me forget that I was running. Then I came back to a most satisfying breakfast: scrambled eggs, jam on toast, and wonderful coffee. Thank you so much for giving us an experience that we will never forget. This was the perfect end to my vacation ❤️ Despite the fact that no one else was there, I was served a delicious full breakfast in my up, made with love! Beds sleep great, and it was wonderfully clean 😀 Super nice received by Gonnie and Richard. The perfect address for when I miss the last boat home again! The stay in the "Vliegtuig" completely inspired us. The small apartment is so individually and tastefully furnished, Frederique is such a friendly host and the breakfast is a dream. The apartment is very quiet and even has its own small garden. It doesn't get any better. Thanks!

Rosetta was so welcoming, helpful and genuinely interested in making our experience comfortable. She went above and beyond to help us get my elderly mother’s luggage in as we were unable to get luggage storage we had planned. Our breakfast was amazing. She made me special and delicious low carb options as I had dietary needs. The bedrooms were very comfortable, everything was so nice. I would stay here again in a second.

A very nice stay, even for a short overnight stay. That I arrived a little later in the evening was not a problem. The room was comfortable and equipped with towels and a sink. The breakfast was excellent and definitely value for money. Highly recommended if you are staying in the north of the Netherlands.

Rob and his team are the nicest people you can meet in groningen. The place is like an oasis full of beautiful nature and animals. It ist quiet and perfekt to relax, but at the same time it is not far from the city. 5/5

Fantastic place to stay! Extremely friendly, welcoming hosts, who were also so great that they wanted to pick us up and take us to the Friese Woudenpad we walked! Beautiful quiet place with spotless and stylish room and "living room/kitchen", very warm welcome with drink, also extra possibility to order drinks/snacks, and of course the garden! Especially a piece of garden for guests, including campfire pit and gazebo. Oh and within walking distance of supermarket, restaurant and bus stop. What else do you want? In one word, great!❤️ We'll definitely be back sometime 😀

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful room! It was even more stunning and well-organized than the photos. The interior design was tasteful and elegant, with so much attention to detail throughout the house and room — it truly felt special. Located in the heart of nature, it offered the perfect mix of comfort and peace. The apartment was fully equipped — a complete kitchen with tea, coffee, utensils, and thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. There was an optional paid service for meal preparation and snacks, plus a generous complimentary breakfast. One of my favorite parts was the outdoor seating in the backyard garden — a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating. Knowing I had to leave early due to travel plans, they kindly woke up at 5 AM to prepare breakfast for me and pack it to-go. That level of care truly stood out. Highly recommended — I’d absolutely love to return!

A very nice place! You feel right at home in the jungle with peacocks and ducks as nice residents. Beautiful relaxing atmosphere yet quite close to the city center. :) The bathrooms were nicely distributed and clean. The cottage is cute to fall in love! And the bed super cozy. However, the wooden cabin is not insulated or anything else, so it gets quite fresh inside in colder months. The small electric heater is then also not strong enough to keep the room warm. With the many blankets we didn't mind, but frostbites should keep it in mind. :) We will definitely be back next year! :)

We were received very friendly. The check-in was quick and uncomplicated. Breakfast was prepared on time and was sufficient and delicious. We felt very comfortable. Full recommendation!

My stay at Joppe was very pleasant. I came here to stay overnight in connection with my work and was able to continue my working day in the beautiful garden. Joppe was a very friendly and cozy host. I was allowed to stay for dinner, we walked a bit and in the evening had a cup of tea by the campfire. Freedom and happiness at Joppe, because he also gives you all the space to do your own thing if you don't need company. Absolutely recommended.

The 2 weeks I spent there. were very pleasant. Sylvia is a nice and open-minded person. You could talk to her easily and the relaxation factor was definitely fully achieved. I can highly recommend it.
