Luxury Studio-incredible view-peaceful getaway

LouiseRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Can highly recommend a stay at Roberta's lovely property, it has everything needed for a few days away. Peaceful with great views & garden to enjoy. The studio is beautifully done, with very comfy large bed & chairs for relaxing in. Bonus of proper large bath towels! The few breakfast bits, water & fresh milk were very welcome. Good instructions on how to use everything & helpful details on the area etc. Also had a cooling unit which was very needed in the warm weather, as whilst all the glass gives wonderful views, it is also makes it very warm. Got some wonderful strawberries for breakfast from the local run village shop. Did not need to ask Roberta for anything but felt from communication beforehand that nothing would have been too much trouble.

Quarry Lodge

We had a wonderful, tranquil stay. The cottage was gorgeous, clean and well equipped for our 3 night stay; the only thing I would have liked to see was a hoover just so we could clean a little better before we left. The rooms were clean and well sized, the kitchen had a lovely selection of utensils and even some complimentary essentials like milk, eggs and butter. The bathroom felt luxurious and really topped off the holiday as nothing beats a warm, relaxing shower to finish off a day.

Jordan is a fantastic host, very responsive 24/7 and kind. Sent detailed check in instructions, gave advice on local area (and time to get there), and wants to make sure you enjoy your stay. The flat is clean and feels safe. The location is fairly quiet even though it is just off the main thoroughfare. Very nice to stay in a flat with a kitchen (two burner stovetop and oven!) after lots of hotel stays this vacation. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a social event in the village so booked with Nikki for convenience but had such a lovely time we will definitely stay again if in the area. Well appointed facility in rural location with views over the fields. A great place to decompress from city life. Our hosts went beyond the call to make us welcome. Great tips on local eateries and assistance getting to our do.

Rural Cottage (8 mins to mainline station)

We stayed at Saff’s while our house purchase completed. He was an excellent host - always helpful and obliging as well as being great company. On our first day he gave us a dozen fresh eggs laid by his chickens and took pride in showing us his garden and hen coop. Saff is very helpful and engaging - a thoroughly nice guy. We met his wife, Noshi, at the church coffee morning (well worth the walk) and, as well as being as friendly and helpful as Saff, makes wicked Tea Bread. On our last morning Saff was keen to know if there was anything that needed doing in the accommodation - typical of his concern that we were satisfied with his delightful cottage. Altogether we struck very lucky with this couple.
