Penhill Luxury Lodge with a hot tub

IzzyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely weekend stay in the cabin! The hot tub was on when we arrived and even though we didn't get there until 11pm Georgie was very flexible and helped us check in. The cabin is located on a caravan park so there's other people around but you're secluded inside the cabin and you have privacy when you're in the hot tub.

Butterfly Cottage 5*rated, Balcony, stunning views

Jennie LaurenRating, 5 stars3 days ago
My husband and I and our two doggies had a truly unforgettable time. The home was the perfect escape. Stunning walks right on our doorstep, a 15/20 minute walk to the local coop, pubs, and cafe, wonderful views from the balcony when the sun shone, and a cosy home for when it rained. I cannot recommend this location enough and we will certainly be visiting again. The bath was great after our long walks and there was always plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well equipped. The WiFi was a little temperamental but the tv was always working and there’s 4G if you’re desperate to connect to the world (which isn’t necessary when you’re in such a beautiful area). Very helpful and friendly hosts, comfy bed, great shower (although you might struggle if you’re over 6ft2”. Great cooking appliances, the local pubs are lovely, and some villages within a 20 minute drive that are also worth the visit. Very happy customers!

An old farmhouse with a lifetime of memorabilia and nic-nacs. Wonderful stay. Three large bedrooms upstairs with three bathrooms; large kitchen, dining, lounge and another toilet downstairs. We only stayed one night on a driving holiday and it was very comfortable.

Unique 18thC Yorks Dales Silk Weavers’ mill house.

BillRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Coming from the States, we were looking for a quintessential Yorkshire Dales experience: someplace peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery. This place fit the bill perfectly. The house was very comfortable and we especially loved the shower, beds and comforters. It really is self catered so be sure to bring any cooking staples you will need. Beautiful artwork throughout the house, and some great magazines to read on rainy days. We did have an issue on the second to last day we were there - the power went out for no apparent reason. Luckily we were able to isolate the problem circuit and get things partially working again. Claire was very helpful and arranged for showers we could use in the cabins at the main property down the road. All in all, it was a lovely location and we would definitely stay there again.

Self contained Annexe of Georgian Townhouse

ChristineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a smashing wee find, just what we wanted. The annex is well laid out and well equipped. The bedding was super quality [something important to me]. Easy to come and go and you park your car right outside the door. Worth noting there is a step down into the kitchen and bathroom which has a sensor light on it at night so not to much of a problem. We would happily stay here again.

Ruelle - Stunning Three Bedroom Durham Home

AmberRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Had a lovely stay at this location. Three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom have each of us plenty of privacy. The house had an abundance of space and the full size kitchen made meal preparation easy. Location was great, walkable distance to the city centre, Durham Cathedral and castle but just far enough to offer quiet and privacy. A great launchpad for exploring County Durham.

Paddock Cottage

PenelopeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our first Airbnb experience and we have to say that the bar has been set very high. Our host Trevor was lovely, the area beautiful and interesting, and the accommodation excellent. There were plenty of great walks within an easy drive and it wasn’t overcrowded which made it all the more pleasant. Although the accommodation is great, it is worth being aware that the stairs to the bedroom may present challenges for some people, but if you think you can manage them, you will love this property. There are different options for heating, constant hot water and the kitchen has everything you need. The four legged neighbours are also friendly, if hungry; and my guide dog very much appreciated the lovely dog bed, fleecy blanket and flashing toy! Thank you so much Trevor, it would be lovely to be able to return in the future if we can manage it.

Durham City Garden Haven

ChrisRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We booked Gillie's place as a retreat while we had major refurbishment work in our home. We were attracted by the description of the garden haven and we weren't disappointed. The house was a bit like a Tardis. Unassuming from the frontage but with loads of space and a wonderful garden at the back. The position between Durham Moor and Framwellgate was perfect. Easily walkable into Durham city and with great amenities nearby. Parking was for three vehicles and the wifi and smart tv were super fast. The Airbnb was also great value for money compared to other Durham City properties. As a host Gillie would not have been more helpful and responded to emails through Airbnb very quickly. Definitely one of our best stays.
