Vacation rentals with a kayak in Drummond Island

We had a wonderful time! Kathleen was extremely helpful and quick at getting back with us. She had everything you needed to make you feel right at home. We had a great time on the pontoon and enjoying the great outdoor space here too. And pet friendly, our pups loved it!!

Such a beautiful place to stay. Home is next to the water with a huge wrap around deck. Very spacious interior with all updated appliances. If you are looking for the perfect getaway then you have just found it. Will be back. Thanks Ben!!

We spent three days at Robert’s Hammond Bay property. The walks along the sandy beach were just amazing. All photos fairly represent the property condition. Robert was always accessible and helpful answering questions. We enjoyed local attractions, i.e., hikes along the Ocqueoc River or a short ride to Mackinac. We had a wonderful outing.

Lovely stay at Denise’s cottage!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely Airbnb over the weekend, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the stunning beach view, which provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. Waking up to the sound of waves and the sight of the sun rising over the ocean was truly magical. The host was welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel like a home away from home. I had a fantastic time exploring the nearby beach and enjoying the local amenities. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some quality time by the sea. I can't wait to return!

My wife Linda and I stayed at Fisherman's Paradise/Freighter Watch September 4-22, 2024. We were there mainly to do fishing in the St. Mary's River and Lake Huron. With on site launch, boat hoist/dock, and fish cleaning it is by far the best rental property we have found in the area. We have stayed on Sugar, Nebbish, and Drummond Island and none of places we have stayed could compare. The area is peaceful and quiet, there is ample wildlife in and around the area, we saw eagles, mink, beaver, and many other bird species. A couple nights around the full moon we heard several coyotes howling. As other reviewers have noted the freighter watching gets to be obsessive(we even saw several cruise ships during our stay). We would recommend that you get on the Boatnerd website. This website has information on all the ships that are seeing. We found the house to be comfortable. The kitchen has pretty much everything that you may need for your meal preparation. Tara and Rob are great host.

It is the perfect vacation place. This place has direct lake access with scenic peaceful surroundings. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cherished each moment we spent. Barbara's place feels like home with thoughtful attention to details. Especially if you are traveling with a big group or kids, she has provided enough toys and supplies like kitchen/bath towel, coffee etc. Highly recommended Just one thing to mention, the King bed is on a lofted bedroom which does not have four wall enclosure like regular rooms. I think this is a Michigan architecture style and looking carefully at the pictures you can easily figure it out. So something to be careful about for a big group

This home is a great Northern Michigan cottage that sits on a quiet lake. Between the beautiful sunrise and sunsets, you can hear the classical sounds of Loons echoing off the waters and Osprey fishing from the shore tree line. Located minutes from the town but feel in the middle of the wilderness. Easy day trips to Mackinac Island, Lake Michigan or Lake Huron sandy beaches. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Amazing place for the winter or summer would love to come back again with the family

We truly loved our stay. This place has the most stunning views. The house is very clean and well kept. The surrounding neighbors were very friendly and it has an overall peaceful atmosphere. We ended up forgetting a few items after our stay and the host was amazing enough to drive out of her way to get them back to us. Great place & great host!

Tom and Kitty were excellent! The island is gorgeous and the beach area is perfect. The water does not get too deep which was wonderful for the kids and my sanity. Perfect spot for a family getaway! They allowed us to use their kayaks, canoe and swimming platform. Tom also put out children at play signs which was such a thoughtful touch. All together an unforgettable family experience. Just lovely!

We had a great stay here. The house is stocked with all essential stuff. There are canoe and kayaks for water, fire pit with lot of wood, kitchen with all necessary utensils and condiments, lots of board games. This is a perfect place for family vacation.

The place was sooo beautiful, and exactly like the picture. Too peaceful and clean surroundings. Kayaking and canoeing was a great experience for us.

We loved it! Eileen is a super host, who made sure our visit was the most comfortable and peaceful as possible. Three Owls Cottage is a very nicely updated cabin. We felt right at home staying there. All the amenities listed were available. The kitchen had absolutely anything you needed to cook a meal from a simple pizza, to steaks and chicken on the grill with a side Cesar Salad. The beds were comfortable . The bathroom was updated with a nice corner shower. All appliances worked flawlessly and the internet was a nice addition. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to relax and wind down this is it! If you want to unplug and spend time with your kids I’d recommend it. Just unplug the router. :). 10/10 I absolutely love this place! It definitely had a women's touch, and by that I mean it had everything you would possibly need! My party and I did not have to run to the store for anything because she had it. The house! AMAZING! The pictures does not do it justice at all! The surrounding area was a dream! We arrived around sunset and it felt like driving into a dream. Will definitely be coming back here!

If you are looking for a relaxing place to unplug and relax with great views this is a great spot. It’s remote, but there is a little store for trinkets and items you may have forgotten. Right on the water for fun on the water and views. Cabins are rustic but comfortable. No WiFi and we needed to use Canadian cellular towers, so you will be unplugged…and that’s kinda the point. Definitely plan to come back.

Peaceful area. Great to be right on the river. Wonderful to be able to sit out, and/or grill out, on the front lawn or porch, and watch the big ships. Picnic tables and furniture are provided. Cabins are rustic and cozy. Bedding is provided, and in our opinion, the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/dishes/silverware. Gas stove. Full size fridge. Good water pressure. Bring your own towels/shampoos, and bath soaps.

We stayed at Pond #8 which was a short drive from the main resort. We didn’t use any of the resort amenities because we enjoyed our cabin so much! The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s the perfect wilderness getaway. The staff at check in/out were very friendly. We will definitely be coming back and staying longer.

Great little cabin on Basswood Lake. Have been to this location before and loved it everytime; has an awesome view of the stars at night. Place was tidy and clean upon arrival. Christina was a great host who checked in with us and made sure we had everything we needed!

Was an amazing little cabin! Super cozy and had everything you need for a trip! Was very nice and responsive and very understanding! We had an amazing trip thanks to Christopher!

This place was such an awesome find! Easy to find, beautiful location and a great place to gather. The house has enough space for everyone to stretch out, my son LOVED the VHS player and movies! We ate our meals out in the screened area and walked the beach multiple times. The only thing that I would’ve changed(if I could ) was the weather!😊 I love the special touches like the s’more bar, the magazines and beach themed decor. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything was nice and clean. Well done!! We’d stay here again!
