We are an eco friendly family, and the Byre comes with a private composting toilet in a separate wooden shed, and a water supply just outside.Think of it as cosy camping in a stone tent.

We had a fantastic weekend staying in the Shepherd's hut. Julie was really welcoming and friendly, the space was super clean and had everything that we needed. The view from the shepherd's hut is beautiful and there is so much to see and explore in the local area. Thanks Julie, we'd definitely come back again!

We stayed three nights at the Dinnings Lodge. Upon arrival the reception called us to check our arrival time with the keys ready. It was such a smooth check in, we didn’t require any support throughout our stay as everything is signposted and amenities are great! What a beautiful house, super clean inside, lovely decor, we were truly sad to leave. Our kids 10 & 5 enjoyed the secluded garden, it’s full of wildlife, rabbits literally on the door step. Play park was also great and the woodland walk is just amazing, we saw deer! The location is spot on, easy to commute and as we had an EV car, Tesla supercharger is 5 mins away. The house itself has an underfloor heating, it’s so cosy and the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and a washing machine. Beds are comfy, modern throughout. The caravan site is so quiet, well maintained. Thank you for such amazing stay and lovely memories.

Just returned home from a lovely few days at the cottage in Lowick. Mark greeted us on arrival and was very helpful explaining all that the cottage and village had to offer. We spent most of our time whilst at the cottage in the garden room at the back of the property, which as it says, looks out on to a lovely large garden. As others have mentioned in their reviews, the village has two pubs which both serve food in the evenings (we tried both), and also a small village shop which sells the usual provisions and newspapers. While we were there we visited Holy Island, Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Berwick Upon Tweed, Amble and others all within a short distance.

A charming 19th Century stone cottage is situated on a quiet village street. The exterior features large windows with white frames and a bold blue door, complemented by floral decorations on the windowsills. The nearby surroundings reflect a tranquil village atmosphere.

Communication with Connor was great, prompt and very helpful. Lovely property, and a nice welcoming experience, even without someone actually being present. We felt very relaxed and found staying there very peaceful. Great location for our visit to start exploring the region, shame it was only a flying visit. Lovely and welcoming house, perfectly located to explore the region, and be able to come back to a quiet place for the evening/night. We came for a short stay (3 nights) with our 2 young kids, and found children books and a nice decked outdoor space outdoor at the back, both very nice additions. Emma is an attentive and proactive host, and excellent recommendations.

The place was a dream find . Quiet ' peaceful and local to pubs and restaurants . All the sites of Northumberland on your doorstep . Laura and her husband were so friendly and made us feel at home . We will definitely be back it was a Dream of a place for two . thankyou .

Wow... The Limeworks is stunning! We had a wonderful stay in the Hemmel, which has been beautifully crafted inside and out, with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and in a very lovely setting. We really enjoyed having views of the woodland and wildflower meadow, strolling along the winding paths through the grounds, and being able to hear nothing but the birds tweeting. Even more amazing was to have hares hopping around the lawn right outside the property! The location was ideal - so peaceful and relaxing, and great for exploring the countryside and coast. The hosts were very helpful and thoughtful and we valued their commitment to the environment and supporting the local wildlife. Big thanks!
