This is the cutest house! It has lots of special touches and is very comfortable. It’s brand new and really clean and well laid out. We will definitely stay here again when in this area!!

Perfect cozy, quiet cottage with the best porch! Got lucky and had rain the entire time, there is nothing like a storm on a tin roof. Felt private even with neighbors. Would love to stay again!

Sharon was extremely friendly and helpful. I noticed she had actually removed the listing availability for the night I wanted to come, so I messaged her asking if it would be OK if I booked and she responded immediately. despite her having a funeral that day, which was why she removed the availability, she worked with my schedule and had the house cleaned and ready for me by 7 PM and gave me a late check out of 5 PM two days later which was very preferred for me and very much appreciated. The house was clean and peaceful. Location was very nice but I can only imagine how beautiful it is when all the foliage is back to life.

Amazing place to unwind after a busy semester of teaching. Jamie’s cottage is well built, comfortable, and above all quiet. We spent restorative hours listening to the birds on the front porch with our morning coffee and lying by the neighborhood pool next door. Jamie is an excellent host in that she gives her guests space and is quick to respond if an issue arises. I would stay here again, no question

If you’re looking for a place to stay and have relaxing clean yet comfy accommodations - look no further. Wendy’s place had everything you need plus anything you may never have thought to bring. We cooked our meals there and the kitchen was abundantly well stocked. The bed was so comfy, the shower absolutely steamy, the screened porch was cozy and inviting. We had a day where it poured rain all day. The living room with recliners and plenty of blankets was the perfect “in day.” The home is walking distance to Brow Park and several local eateries and a cute little convenience store. I would highly recommend staying at Wendy’s Place. We will definitely be back.

The cabin was nice and clean. The hosts were friendly when contacted. Had trouble with WIFI. Hosts gave us the password to the cabin across the driveway so that was fine. Good experience overall. We love the large walk-in shower with good water pressure which was a pleasant change for most places we have been. We’d recommend this cabin to a stay at for a couple or small family.

Very relaxing stay! Although it rained all the days we were there, it was great family bonding time with many games played and time spent fishing when we could. The house was as advertised. Only a couple of minor things came up that in no way hindered our stay. It would be normal things that would happen at your own home. Roger was always quick to respond with answers to questions that we had and was very helpful during the booking process. All of our kids made the statement that they would rather come back and stay here than go on a big trip. If you’re looking to get away and enjoy family time, this place is perfect for just that! Claire and Bryan had the most absolutely adorable cottage ever. They’ve literally thought of everything from dishes, to hot plate and silverware, to coffee and creamer (plenty as well). They were so quick with responses and sending welcoming messages I was so wowed. I took away ideas for a future build even. The style and comfortability was so homey!!! I will be visiting again when we go back to visit family! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

My wife and I thought about the myriad of lake and Mountain View places we could rent in the Ft. Payne/Mentobe area, but ran across The Lofts in our search. The minute we saw the interior and exterior photos and saw the primo downtown location, we were sold. As an architect married to a design and antique loving woman, we saw a fun alternative to the usual places to stay. We were NOT disappointed. The place is decorated to a “T” and located in an historic building within walking distance of some really nice shops and restaurants. It’s located a short drive to Cloudland State Park and innumerable other natural areas as well. As I said, the online photos of this place don’t do it justice. Our hosts were helpful and on the ball. Easy check in and check out. All the information we needed was provided. We spent part of a day at Orbix Hot Glass to learn glass blowing techniques and would like to go again. We know where we’ll be staying!
