Vacation rentals with a fire pit in DeKalb County

This was the perfect space! Lots of room and beds! Everyone had a bed in our group of 9! I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay! There also was a pond in the backyard with fishing poles provided! Such a nice touch! We definitely will look to stay again when we’re back in the area!

Perfect cozy, quiet cottage with the best porch! Got lucky and had rain the entire time, there is nothing like a storm on a tin roof. Felt private even with neighbors. Would love to stay again!

Aften’s place was just what we needed for a night for our family of six and one puppy! The house was spacious and clean and the fenced in backyard was perfect. The only thing that we would have changed would be the noise level of the interstate and train tracks.

Sharon was extremely friendly and helpful. I noticed she had actually removed the listing availability for the night I wanted to come, so I messaged her asking if it would be OK if I booked and she responded immediately. despite her having a funeral that day, which was why she removed the availability, she worked with my schedule and had the house cleaned and ready for me by 7 PM and gave me a late check out of 5 PM two days later which was very preferred for me and very much appreciated. The house was clean and peaceful. Location was very nice but I can only imagine how beautiful it is when all the foliage is back to life.

We loved our stay at Ashwood House! It was so clean, spacious, and well stocked with all the essentials. We sat by the fire each night on the cozy patio furniture and walked down the street to the Wildflower Cafe to eat some delicious meals. We hope to return next summer. Thank you!

Very clean & a great place to unwind after traveling to nearby bike parks. Kara was very responsive and quick to resolve any needs. We bought our own cleaning supplies to tidy up after ourselves… not sure how past guests got by on soap and fabric stain remover… hmm…

Sunset Ridge house is a beautiful, spacious and luxurious getaway. The kitchen is well stocked. I fell in love with the blue ribbon glassware and ordered a set for myself!We found the house perfect for our needs, especially the screened in porch overlooking the mountain ranges. We hope to make a return visit next time we’re in the area.

If you’re looking for a place to stay and have relaxing clean yet comfy accommodations - look no further. Wendy’s place had everything you need plus anything you may never have thought to bring. We cooked our meals there and the kitchen was abundantly well stocked. The bed was so comfy, the shower absolutely steamy, the screened porch was cozy and inviting. We had a day where it poured rain all day. The living room with recliners and plenty of blankets was the perfect “in day.” The home is walking distance to Brow Park and several local eateries and a cute little convenience store. I would highly recommend staying at Wendy’s Place. We will definitely be back.

Very relaxing stay! Although it rained all the days we were there, it was great family bonding time with many games played and time spent fishing when we could. The house was as advertised. Only a couple of minor things came up that in no way hindered our stay. It would be normal things that would happen at your own home. Roger was always quick to respond with answers to questions that we had and was very helpful during the booking process. All of our kids made the statement that they would rather come back and stay here than go on a big trip. If you’re looking to get away and enjoy family time, this place is perfect for just that! After we got passed Airbnb giving us the wrong code to enter the apartment we had no further problems and enjoyed our stay. The co-host Lorraine was very helpful. The train and highway traffic were annoying but, tolerable. We prefer more of a country setting. This apartment was in the suburbs so it was close to amenities, which was a positive aspect.

They were great, and the place was clean. The scenery is the best part, I love that they had an accommodating back porch that was netted in.

This place was fantastic! The communication with the host was always quick. The parking is a little tight if all the units are in use if you have a larger vehicle. Great value and perfect location for us.

The cabin was set on the Brow over Mentone - an awesome location. There’s neighbors but it’s a quiet location and we felt it was private. We enjoyed the hot tub and had breakfast on the porch looking over Mentone and surrounding area - watched the trains come through in the distance. We needed the quiet and restful atmosphere - not disappointed. Artsy shops and good eating nearby. We drove to Lafayette and made a loop through Chickamauga (great for any Civil War buffs ) then back to Mentone on a day trip out. The scenery along the way was beautiful. We found a great nursery in Lafayette where we bought plants to take home.

The place was awesome. Our stay was wonderful and Desiree did an awesome job communicating with us. Beautiful views and awesome amenities.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin! It’s so quiet and peaceful. The place was very clean and had all the kitchen things we needed to prepare meals. The shared dock area was wonderful! We enjoyed fishing and the views are amazing! Also love the sweet neighbor dogs that came over to visit us while we fished. The cabin is about 30 minutes from restaurants so be prepared to drive or bring food to cook. The quiet setting was worth it to us to have to drive to restaurants. Also note that the exterior of the cabin has been painted since the photos on the listing were taken. I had to look up photos to be sure we were at the right place when we first arrived. I highly recommend this place and will keep it on my list for future trips as well.

The home is very convenient to all things Mentone. So nice that there are two suites! We grilled one night and most nights enjoyed a relaxing fire in the screened porch fireplace. Kitchen is very workable for cooking full meals and wifi, TV and setting are great. Our dogs were able to run off lead as the home is about 1000' off the main road on a small lane. Loved the cabin feel and that there were bathtubs! You must see Little River Falls - take water shoes & play in the mountain water!

This has easily been my favorite Airbnb stay to date! The home was thoughtfully stocked with everything a guest could possibly need—and more. From extra fishing poles and tackle for a day on the water, to a fully equipped kitchen with a wide variety of cooking essentials, every detail felt carefully considered. The space was spotless, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. You can tell the hosts put a lot of heart into creating a comfortable and memorable experience. Whether you're relaxing indoors, cooking a meal, or heading out for some hiking, everything you could think of is right at your fingertips. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-appointed, relaxing getaway!

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin looked just like the photos. It was nice, clean, and very welcoming. The sunsets off the back porch were stunning. We will definitely stay here again.
