We had a really great time at Schalk's home under the amazing Milkwood trees. The outside area is even bigger than it looks in the pictures and it has a very nice braai area, pizza oven and fire pit to enjoy. The house makes you feel like you're away in the bush but you also have the ocean a 100 meters away. There is a balcony upstairs where we had our breakfasts daily which looks onto the ocean through the trees. Lovely to hear the ocean in the evening whilst sleeping. We would definitely recommend it.

From the moment we arrived we were captivated by the stunning views surrounding the accommodation. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot tub. It was the perfect way to unwind. The fireplace added to the ambiance. We spent hours snuggled up with blankets, enjoying the crackling fire. Our host Cindy went above and beyond ro ensure our stay was perfect. From thoughtful touches in the cabin to quick responses to our questions. I highly recommend The Buchu Box to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature.

We had the most incredible stay and cannot recommend this place highly enough! From the moment we arrived, Rozanne made us feel completely at home — she’s a truly exceptional host: warm, thoughtful, and always available if we needed anything. The home itself is stunning, with stylish and beautifully curated interior décor that strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort. The indoor fireplace was a cozy highlight, and we spent unforgettable dinners at the indoor Braai (bbq) enjoying great food. And the view — absolutely to die for. Waking up to the sight of Springboks and Zebras roaming in the distance felt like something out of a dream. Despite its elegant design, the house was surprisingly child-friendly, making it an ideal getaway for our whole family. Every detail was considered. We’re already thinking of our return — next time, to catch the whales! Thank you again, Rozanne, for everything.

This was such a memorable experience. Spotless, beautiful,modern and at a good location. Enjoyed the king size bed and coffee and all the amenities. Alines dad was friendly,responsive and availing. I love the interior furnishings specifically the bath and the quiet tranqulity of the home as well the close proximity to whale coast mall and the waterfront. I would recommend this place to others and it was a wonderful commemoration of my parent's 70th birthday. .

Always a winner in Hermanus. This is a stunning place and is our first option when we are in Hermanus. It’s safe, secure, easy to get to. The interior is cozy and comfortable and is a great break away from home. I would highly recommend!

We cannot fault anything! Honestly our very best stay - Adet was incredibly accommodating as we had a child from the UK with us travelling at a different time, we had small children with us- she just helped us all the time. Definitely our best air bnb

This property is absolutely gorgeous and it was perfect for our needs. We wanted family time together and the place was perfect for that. We sat near the stove playing board games - which were supplied by our host. The location felt very safe and it was lovely to stay in an area where so many properties were not enclosed by electric fences. Some of the neighbouring properties opened right on to the pan with no fencing at all! I would highly recommend this property and I would happily return.

The house was neat and tidy and the bedding was super soft. We had a very good stay and appreciated the housekeeper coming in mid stay to do a linnen swap for us. Would recommend.

We had a great time staying at Christian’s place. Beautiful setting on the cliff path. Obry the host was super helpful, and Cristina was very proactive in her communication.

Shout out to Anmarie views to die for from the balcony and would recommend staying here. It's just 5 mins walk to the harbour for the cage diving which we came for at the White Shark Diving Company and 10 mins drive to Gainsbaai places. Recommend Klipgap Caves and coffee or tipple stop at Coffee On The Rocks.

The view from the house was SPECTACULAR. The house was comfortable, spacious, and had all we needed to cook. The pots/cooking utensils were of high quality and what we most appreciated was Svena"s attention to detail: There were binoculars to spot whales in the main bedroom, which had a sea view; there was laundry detergent by the washing machine; coffe/tea/rusks, sugar and coffee filters plus oil and salt/pepper in the kitchen. She even had bubble wrap and packing tape for those who (like us) bought curios and needed to pack them for travel. We also appreciated that we were able to park our car in a secure/gated area behind the house. Overall, we loved our stay and when we return to South Africa and want to stay in Hermanus, we are likely to seek out Svena's beautiful home again.

Liezel was very friendly and always available. Very comfortable bed and beautifully decorated. We had everything we needed. So much to do in the area ans Liezel gave us lots of ideas and advice. Highly recommend Thanks Liezel. Hope to see you again in the future

Ein wirklich toller Ausblick aufs Meer! Die Wohnung ist super ausgestattet und geschmackvoll eingerichtet! Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Der Cliff Path way ist 2 Minuten entfernt und man fühlt sich absolut sicher dort. Der Kontakt mit Hans war unkompliziert und er hat uns einige gute tips gegeben! Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! 😊

My partner and I stayed at Leslie's place for our 2-night stay in Hermanus and it was well worth it. It's close to everything, in a secure estate and the perfect place to recuperate amongst our activities for the weekend.

We had a wonderful time at La Mer flatlet. Beautiful views and good accommodation. It was cold and raining, but the inside fireplace was the place to be to watch the waves crashing over the rocks in front of the house. Will visit again. Good value for money.

Everything we hoped for a weekend break. Well positioned, great view, well equipped good service. Will definitely book again.

Gideon & Jayne helped me out when my in-laws were mis-treated at another place, they helped us out and the unit was available within an hour of the enquiry/booking. Was as per the descriptions and photos, neat and clean. Close to Dutchies and Grotto beach for lovely lunches and walks on the beach. Lyn & Peter thoroughly enjoyed there stay with you, thank you!

Das Appartment im dritten Stock hatte von der Terrasse einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer bis hinüber nach Hermanus mit seinen spektakulären Bergen. Küche, Wohnzimmer und erstes Schlafzimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet mit allem, was wir für unseren einwöchigen Aufenthalt benötigten. Wir haben uns in diesem Appartment sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Kommunikation mit L war sehr nett und jederzeit hilfreich.

We really loved the place. It met all our expectations. It was clean , beautiful and private. We had a very relaxing time. This definitely is a little gem. Well worth the money. Thanks for an amazing host. We will definitely be back.

Die Unterkunft war gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber! Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und fanden die direkte Lage zum Meer optimal! Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hat uns super Tipps für Umgebung gegeben. Wir hatten auch große Freude die Hunde und Katzen zu streicheln - sie waren sehr süß und gut erzogen!
