My husband, Joe, retired in 2018 from his job of 30 yrs. I retired in Jan 2020 (right before Covid19) from owning/operating a large childcare facility for 22 yrs. We raised our 5 children in this beautiful home. We love to share our gift of hospitality when we have the opportunity. Dayton is a short drive to Carson City, Virginia City, Lake Tahoe, Reno. It is perfect for long/short term business, family, leisure trips, or anyone just looking for a comfortable place to stay between destinations.

Gavin’s place is definitely a hidden gem. Especially for travelers working long hours. The massage chair is perfect to relax in. Quality TV, private restroom with HOT HOT water. The bed is adjustable with quality pillows you will sleep like a baby. Good size closet to organize all your work clothes. Hot tub is a bonus, Gavin will help you set it up. Fast internet for getting paperwork done. Definitely will stay here again.

Tiame and her husband were amazing hosts. They helped me with suggestions around Lake Tahoe, and were also very flexible with check in as well as check out. Had a good breakfast in the morning before I left, and also had my laundry done the previous evening. Overall, a great stay in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. Their home is also pretty close to Lake Tahoe, with a scenic 30-40 minute drive separating the two.

The living area features a blue accent wall, with a colorful tapestry and a striking wall hanging. A black couch and a cream-colored armchair provide seating. A small table with coffee-making essentials, a microwave, and a decorative lamp complete the space, illuminated by overhead light fixtures.

They have an amazing DVD collection- I watched a favorite movie each night of my stay. I highly recommend Katie and Mark- they are the best and their home is truly lovely.

Loved staying with Evelyn! Felt welcome by the fact she had written my name on the welcome plate at the door of the garage-side entrance. Such a beautiful place with a nice backyard that she has been working on herself! Guest room is separated from Evelyn’s side of the house with a fence so the dog she takes care of won’t bother you. She’s also very friendly and fun to chat with! The pastry in the room and sparkling water was also a really kind gesture.
