Welcome to this fabulous period Barn conversion available for your Summer staycation. Where you can relax in a Hot tub under the stars or light the log burner and curl up on the sofa and just chill. Enjoy the exposed stonework, oak beams and antique furniture you can relax indoors or outdoors on our Moroccan inspired patio. A gas fired BBQ or an open grill plus a fire pit weather permitting dine alfresco after a well-earned soak in the hot tub. On your doorstep several local Pubs will offer genuine local hospitality. Last but not least a great garden for your kids and pets! The Barn at the Old Golden Lion is equidistant between the Jurassic Coast and the beautiful North Devon coast North to South, & again equidistant between Dartmoor and Exmoor East to West making this the perfect location to discover the whole of beautiful Devon. Guests have independent and exclusive access to the barn and full access to the garden. We are a family of four and two dogs (chihuahua and a desert dog we brought over from Dubai) and two cats. The Barn at the Old Golden Lion sits in a quintessential Devon village with a medieval church, a pub, and a village store on your doorstep. The location is equidistant between the Jurassic Coast and the beautiful North Devon coast and between scenic Dartmoor and Exmoor. There are plenty of local walks or let us help you plan day trips to suit your tastes and preferences. Ideal location to enjoy this part of Devon or just relax in the peace and quiet of this rural gem. If you need to fly out we have two Airports close by: Bristol Airport - 56 miles and 65 minutes Exeter Airport - 16 miles and 20 minutes If you prefer to go by Train we also have two choices: Tiverton Parkway 14 minutes London Paddington 2 hrs 10 mins Honiton 20 minutes - London Waterloo 3hrs 5 mins There is a primary school next door in the village, close enough to hear some playground activity from the garden.

The Brook Hut Nestled away in rural Mid Devon is our idyllic purpose-built shepherd's hut. The Hut itself was handcrafted by a local carpenter in Devon and has been with us for years up in the Highlands of Scotland, she made the trip down south in Jan 2022 and is ready to welcome visitors. Fitted to a very high standard, our shepherd's hut is the perfect place to come and fully switch off and tune in with nature. The private garden and wooden hot tub make for a real sense of deep relaxation.

Old Parlour: Dog-lover’s peaceful/private caravan

Our static caravan is situated in the old parlour of our 16th Century home. Surrounded by beautiful views and countryside- it is quiet, private and rural. We are a little ‘off-grid’ - perfect place to read, see dark skies full of stars, have starlings swoop overhead and sleep in total peace. We are very dog and family-friendly here too- pets are allowed inside, there’s a private garden and access to a fully enclosed paddock to run around in off-lead/play footie. Kids are free to roam!

The Apartment A spacious self-contained apartment joining the main house. Lovely country views, ideal for either a quiet getaway, exploring the Devon countryside or business trip. Exeter City centre is only 15 mins drive with Exeter Airport and the M5 - J29 & J30 also less than 10 mins drive. We are in close proximity to Rockbeare Manor wedding venue. We are ideally suited if flying from Exeter Airport. There is also a train station at Cranbrook on the Waterloo line 5 mins away.

The house is in the middle of beautiful Devon countryside, on 100 acres of land not far from a small town. There are good pubs nearby and the house is only 7 minutes drive from the National Trust's Killerton House. The Nearest station is Tiverton Parkway, 10 minutes drive. Only 25 minutes drive from the centre of Exeter. One of the UKs most attractive cities. The nearest beach is at least 40 minutes away so this location is not suitable for a beach holiday.

Scooters Shed 'til Breakfast, Tiverton

Our cabin has been one of our cat Scooters favourite places to rest up now it can be yours. Our Cabin provides single travellers with a single bed, deskspace with good Wi-Fi, clothes hanging, en suite shower room, tea/coffee making and microwave for ping meals. We are off the Grand Western Canal which meanders through beautiful countryside for 11.25 miles. Sorry no night workers.
