Our garden summer house has been comfortably furnished with a bright and cosy interior. It comfortably sleeps 4 people on two sofa beds (the beds have pocket sprung mattresses for extra comfort). The house has an ensuite shower room. We are perfectly located for Brands Hatch (10 min drive) and Bluewater shopping centre (10 min drive).
“Was up for race weekend at Brands Hatch. It’s a 5min drive time to the circuit. Going to rename this place the Soho Farmhouse of Kent. Completely beat my expectations. Lovely hosts who cannot do enough for you. David very kindly baked me a fresh loaf of bread in the morning delivered to my door with Jam etc The lodge is lovely and set in a beautiful location. Even when it’s raining it’s a nice place to be. Cute village as well with two pubs. If your a runner then lots of lanes to run on ,just be aware they are quite small lanes road size wise and don’t all have pavements. Already recommended to some friends. Will definitely use again.”
Our Shepherds Hut is situated on our small farm on the edge of the woods. The woodland is fully accessible for walks. We offer a rustic sustainable stay at Owen Farm. We have a compost toilet and basic washing facilities and an outside solar shower. There is a fire pit and BBQ. We are within walking distance from 2 local pubs that serve food & local ale as well as The Hop Shop Lavender Farm. We offer a welcome break from city life, only 20min from London by train. No pets, no under 12's.
“Stayed for the weekend, we had a lovely time! The hut is really nice and cosy, very clean with nice touches. The views are lovely, and the facilities great (fire pit, log burner, coffee/tea and breakfast). Make sure you bring a portable charger as there is no electricity. Easy to get to from London, good location, there are two local pubs nearby where you can get a free drink with your meal! Highly recommend for a peaceful break away from the busy city! Thank you for having us stay :)”
Welcome to our cottage - perfect for relaxing by the fire, bbqing in a beautiful garden or gazing up at the beautiful beams on the ceiling from the sofa, after a day in London, golfing, or walking in this beautiful area of Kent! Upstairs, the master bedroom awaits you, with beamed ceiling & oak flooring understood to have come from one of the stricken 'Seven-Oaks' that succumbed to the great storm of 1987. 10 min drive to Orpington centre, for plenty of shops & trains to London!
“Lovely cottage in quiet country setting. You definitely need a car to stay here. It was 45 minute commute to Westfield Stratford Shopping Centre where we parked and caught the tube. In total you can expect to be commuting 90 minutes to Westminster, which is totally worth it. We loved the balance between being tourists by day in London, then retiring to a peaceful country cottage in the evening. Be prepared to drive carefully on narrow country roads, typical for England. Outstanding Hospitality and I would definitely stay here again!”
