We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Lodge. The Lodge itself was exactly as it is pictured and exceeded our expectations. The views were incredible and we would love to come back and stay again. A truly lovely weekend break.

Great location, right at the bay. Local pubs and restaurants in walking distance.
The historic Rothesay Castle is visible, surrounded by a green moat and well-maintained lawns. Mature trees line the area, and charming buildings can be seen in the background, all under a clear blue sky.

Castle View ground floor 1 bed apartment

Absolutely loved my stay! The location couldn’t have been better – just a 5-minute walk from the ferry, which made arriving really easy and stress-free. Everything you need is right on your doorstep, from shops to cafes and local amenities. The flat itself was warm, cosy, and spotlessly clean, with stylish decor and all the modern appliances you could want. It truly felt like a home away from home. I had a perfect stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommended!
The exterior of a stone cottage is framed by green lawns and a small tree. The building's unique architecture showcases multiple gables and a tower, complemented by a clear blue sky. Picnic tables are placed on the lawn, inviting outdoor use.

A cosy Scottish cottage in 20 acres of grounds

Cottage was lovely, very clean and in a beautiful location. Putting and tennis available within grounds with clubs and tennis racquets available for use. Welcome packs for us and dog was a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome. Have stayed at Kames Castle in the past and never fails to impress.

Newly renovated, great location

AlexRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The flat is in a really easy location to find from the ferry terminal and the check in process was even easier. The flat itself is lovely, nicely furnished, clean and quiet. We (a party of 4) were only there for 2 nights but the kitchen had everything we needed . There are utilities for cooking in the flat but we never actually used them due to eating out every meal. Wee warning, the stairs can be knackering after a few drinks in the local bars. Visitors with mobility issues may struggle with the stairs but this is mentioned in the flat listing on AirBnb Great location, great flat and although we had no issues I know that Cathleen would be able to sort them quickly if we did. Would book this flat again if ever visiting Bute

Three large windows frame a scenic view of the seaside, allowing ample natural light into the room. The green grass outside leads to a pathway, with distant hills visible across the water, creating a calming and open atmosphere.

Spacious seaside flat in Largs

We had a lovely comfortable stay for 2 nights to attend a wedding close by. The flat was handy, walking distance to everything. Hazel communicated well, very friendly and the flat was clean, comfy and has the essentials like tea / coffee / sugar that I have often found recently don’t get supplied in an air bnb. I would definitely recommend this wee flat as somewhere to stay in future.
A dining area features a round wooden table set with plates and glasses, positioned near large windows offering views of the waterfront. A flat-screen TV displaying the Netflix logo is mounted on the wall, highlighting a cozy yet functional space.

Above the Bay

JaneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved this spacious, comfortable, clean apartment. Fully equipped and felt like home from home! The views of the surrounding area are beautiful and well worth a visit, come rain or shine. I would recommend this apartment as being the best we have stayed in Port Bannatyne over the past 4 years, and hope to return again.
A panoramic view captures the coastal town, featuring a prominent spire and historic buildings along the shoreline. A ferry is seen crossing the calm waters, with rolling hills and lush greenery in the background, while clouds drift across the sky.

Location couldn't be better. Central Rothesay. The apartment is lovely. Has everything you might need. Peter was super helpful, really couldn't have done more to make our stay great. Even suggested dog walks and places to celebrate my birthday. Amazing place and if I come back to Bute I'd definitely stay there again. Thanks Peter
