Beachfront vacation rentals in Cowes

Unpretentious older house about a 5 min drive into Cowes. Private access to beach. Wallabies and birds came up to the back fence for a feed. Possums ate our Easter eggs in the backyard on Easter Sunday morning egg hunt! We loved Richard’s house. It has a great vibe and plenty of space for three kids, five adults and our dog. Kids loved the table tennis. It was good to be away from the crowds in the Main Street. Beautiful walks along the beach which was so accessible. Richard and crew were great to communicate with.

Peaceful escape with nothing to do but enjoy the view and relax. Accomodation is comfortable and has all you need in terms of amenities. James is a great host and it’s great to have a dog friendly place with a great and secure yard.

We had a lovely stay over the long weekend at Sharon’s place. Set in a quiet cul de sac within a direct 5 minutes walk to the beach, this place is ideal for couples looking for a getaway. The unit is beautifully appointed with great facilities and plenty of room. A straightforward 20 mins walk into the town with plenty of options to grab a coffee. Highly recommended.

Hi Deb! Today we left your wonderful house unfortunately after 6 weeks. We had a phantastic time and didn’t want to leave… We got in contact with so many nice people in Surf Church and Baptist Church. The Catholic School was also wonderful for our son. We loved Surfing at Smiths Beach, hiking at Pyramid Rocks, swimming at the Beach at your House with the black swans, Jogging at Silverleaves and writing a Book on the terrace of your House with the Most wonderful panoramic view ever!!! How can I now live without it?

Jessica's place was big and modern, with a balcony view of the ocean - about a 2 min walk to the sea, and lovely morning light. A short drive into Cowes, and a good base for a Philip island stay and visit to the penguins and blowhole... She was incredibly responsive and accomodating - which is not always the case with airbnb hosts , so I welcomed that. Thank-you! It would suit a larger group as the living space is grand. One thing I would consider about the three bedrooms downstairs is that the heating downstairs does not really stretch to all of the bedrooms, and the bedding provided was quite light. While perfect for Summer, the bedrooms did not have individual heating, so we were glad to have sleeping bags and spare blankets in our cars to stay warm. Overall, I'd love to come back with a group and have a great base for Summer, or anytime...

Marg was an absolutely amazing host. She gives you great recommendations of things to see and do the surrounding area. Instructions were very clear and her home is beautiful. Clean with everything you need. She is very responsive and very friendly. 10/10 experience.

Lovely little apartment in a great location.

We love coming to Phillip Island, but this has been one of our favourite stays. David was extremely easy to deal with, responsive and friendly. Made many great recommendations for things to do/places to see. Check in to check out was a smooth process and we would be more than happy to stay again. Thanks David !!

We have stayed at Jodie's place 2 or 3 times now, my kids love it, we walk to the beach in the morning and if hot enough, pool for rest of the day. It has everything that suits us as a family including the oval and skate park across the road.

The accommodation was a perfect size. Main bedroom is great, large with its own bathroom and enclosed outside area. Shared bedrooms maybe a bit small but they're just for sleeping anyway. Plenty of living space, an extra area for kids. Lots of toys and games and a billiard table. The swim spa wasn't heating for us but Chris the host did warn us due to unforeseen circumstances and offered a refund if we wished to cancel. Very close to a beautiful enclosed beach, not very busy and good for swimming. Far enough away from 5he bustle of Cowes centre but close enough to walk or drive in for supplies. Chris was very prompt in replying. Overall, a very good experience and I recommend this accommodation for groups or families. Thank you Chris for offering your place.

The place was very comfortable and extremely handy being close to everything. Sally was very obliging to all our requests. We would fully recommend this place to anyone who is considering staying there!

This was my second time of booking Elle & Andrew’s house, the first time was with my family , and this time was with a small group of girlfriends. The house was perfect for both occasions. The house was spotlessly clean , spacious & the pool & spa were again a highlight. Everything was there we could possibly need , so we could relax & enjoy the weekend. Elle & Andrew were sensational hosts, very responsive & nothing was too much trouble . All my friends thought the house was simply amazing & can’t wait to go back . Thanks for having us .

Greg’s place was as described, clean neat, well renovated and cosy. Beds were comfy 5 minute walk if that to the General store for coffee, and everything else we needed was a 7 minute drive including a great pub. Plenty of other places to see we’re with in 35 minute drive. There was also everything we needed for breakfast and a better than hotel minibar.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The place was beautiful, spotless, and well maintained. It was in a fantastic location, just a short walk to the main town. Communication was excellent, with prompt responses to our questions. A definite 10/10

Very lovely place great services and things to do

Our little family had a wonderful time staying at Steve and Renee’s beach house. The house is located close to the beach so much so that we walked down each other day. The kids loved the large outdoor space in particular the swing set. We would highly recommend staying!

Libby is a gracious hostess. The amenities were better than expected. It’s a tranquil place, secluded and welcoming. It was easily a home away from home. A few days spent was definitely felt as more.

It’s a lovely big house, we had a great time (until we had a sick child!), our host was communicative on the app when needed. The house itself is clean, comfortable and in a good location.

This was hands down the *best Airbnb* we’ve ever stayed in! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The property is **beautifully maintained** and **fully equipped** with everything we could possibly need – the kitchen had all the essentials (and more!), the living spaces were cozy, and the bedrooms were incredibly comfortable. Our kids absolutely *loved it here* – they haven’t stopped talking about the stay since we left! The space was so family-friendly, safe, and had plenty of room for them to play. It’s rare to find a place that keeps both adults and children this happy. The host was wonderful – responsive, thoughtful, and made us feel truly welcomed. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a **perfect home away from home**, especially with kids, look no further. We’ll definitely be returning! My partner Bree and I loved staying at Kristy’s place. It was beautiful, clean and homey and Kristy was a great host! It has all the luxe features; great bed, nice towels, bidet/heated toilet seat, fire place etc; the rotating tv was a real standout too! A great place to work from and relax. Will definitely stay again!

Our stay was wonderful! Andi was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The house was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed. This place was amazing! Very easy to find, very quiet. Perfect for if you want to spend your time relaxing. Perfect location, only a short 6 minute drive into town or right outside is a bus stop if you wanted to get public transport into town, really can’t get much better than that. This place was so worth the money, it’s much bigger than what appears in the photos and has everything you could possibly need. Definitely will stay here again.
