It also has two double bedrooms where you can add a single bed to each room. Large bathroom with Empire-style bathtub. Outside you can enjoy a large private and fenced garden, covered garage for cars, games for children, and washing machine. The house is located in a great location to visit art cities such as Pietrasanta, Camaiore, Lucca, Pisa, Florence, or the beautiful beaches of Versilia, such as Lido di Camaiore, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Torre del Lago with the villa museum of Giacomo Puccini, the Puccini festival, or take boat trips on the lake. Be immersed in the peace and quiet of a Tuscan olive orchard by staying in this stone farmhouse which features traditional architectural elements such as terra cotta floors, vaulted ceilings, and original wood fixtures. Dive into the plunge pool with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

A dive into the past with all the modern comforts for a regenerating vacation. In the village of Casesi, in a private farmyard with rustic-style houses, there is our house. A typical rustic Tuscan countryside house that has been restored several times. It has a small garden with a pergola in front of the entrance with a table, chairs and armchairs for relaxation. The entire house, recently renovated, is furnished with antique furniture. The floors are still in original terracotta, as are the ceilings with typical wooden beams.

"Le Casette" vacation home

Le Casette is located about 600 meters above sea level, immersed in the tranquility of an authentic small village on a high hill above Metato, with breathtaking views that stretch from the Apuan Alps to the sea. The last 1.5 km are a panoramic, narrow, and steep route through the countryside, which can only be traveled by compact 4x4 vehicles. For this reason, you will find absolute peace here. For your convenience, the owner provides a Fiat Panda 4x4, to be used exclusively from the house to the Metato parking lot and back.
