Thank you Sarah for making us feel welcome. The bunk house is a fantastic little stopover in a historic and beautiful area and has all the creature comforts you would expect (with a few extras) 🙂 I would recommend the bunk house to anyone passing through.

Romantic Hideaway, Private Gardens, Views, Hot Tub

AlisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Me and my girlfriend had the most amazing time here! So many amazing little touches with the welcome basket, the hot tub being lit for our arrival and we loved the themed hut. Unfortunately it was too cloudy for us to use the telescope but we hope to be back for some stargazing another time. The hosts were really informative prior to our arrival and we were left completely to our privacy. Firewood was available (for free) if we needed more and the grounds were so peaceful and relaxing. The hut had an amazingly comfy bed, really well equipped kitchen and the bath… such a luxury. This was a really special place. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Cosy one bedroom cottage near Barnard Castle

AlanRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Perfect! Exactly what we wanted, the cottage was pristine and equipped to a high standard with everything you need. Although dogs are welcome you would never know that a dog had been anywhere near. The location is secluded and peaceful with great views with horse stables next door and horses in the field. Swallows nesting in the stables constantly flying around. The enclosed garden is ideal for dogs to wander freely safely. Joanna is a great friendly host responsive and only too happy to help. Would highly recommend!

Renovated Coach House in Teesdale

Morris JamesRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Louise's coach house was in the perfect location for attending our friend's wedding at Lartington Hall – incredibly convenient, just a few minutes away. We also loved how quiet and peaceful the village was. The main downside for us, especially as a family, was the cleanliness. We noticed several areas that could have been cleaner. The biggest problem was finding a large number of big spiders inside the boiler cabinet when we opened it (mistaking it for a closet). This discovery really frightened our daughter, leading to her not wanting to sleep in that particular bedroom. Overall we had a great time and we recommend this place for its location, but suggest the host pays closer attention to cleaning all areas, including storage cabinets, to prevent similar issues, particularly for guests with children.

Bob Hannah Cottage

Thank you so much for hosting us at Bob Hannah Cottage. I stayed here for a weekend with family whilst attending a wedding in Barnard Castle. The cottage provided us with the perfect haven away from it all. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the cutlery/ crockery/ other essentials you might need whilst away from home, and the cottage itself is beautifully decorated. We felt very at home! Thanks again for a lovely stay, we would definitely book again if we are staying in the area. :)

Romantic Off-grid retreat in North Pennines AONB

JackRating, 5 stars5 days ago
What a stunning place to say. The cottage was surrounded with views and inside has loads of character! Will definitely look to book again in the future. I thankfully had nice weather so managed to make use of the garden to sit and work on my laptop, there was some seats to use which is great. Cottage was clean and cozy, I almost expected to feel a little bit cold (which I would’ve been happy with) but it was so inviting and warm inside I’d have happily moved in. Hosts were super helpful, instructions getting to the lodge were helpful and clear including getting into the cottage. Wouldn’t be the best if you had a lowered car just for the track but so nice to be away from the road and not overlooked! Can not recommend enough!!
