Blacksmith's workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his small adjacent home. Recently renovated in a contemporary style, it has become a two-story residence of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, bathroom and a wine pantry, reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the study is organized. The balustrade becomes the worktop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. The floors are in resin-coated concrete and part with tiles in recycled cement paste; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Particularly unique are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, ultralight flights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than a 25-minute drive, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (Borgo più bello d'Italia 2016), the Literary Park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "Cretto di Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to Palermo's Falcone Borsellino and Trapani Birgi airports, both within an hour's drive.

Although it's right in the middle of all the restaurants and night life you can't really hear any noise once inside of the apt. The place is spacious, stylish with full equipped kitchen, heating, air conditioned and an amazing view of St' Ignazio Church from the terrace. Our week in the Dream Loft in Sant’Elia was truly magical. We loved the vibe of the house, it was so authentic and carefully designed. Had everything we needed and I especially enjoyed making fresh orange juice and coffee in the morning. The location was absolutely perfect — the view was so beautiful and it felt like we were living in the movie Luca. It was close enough to everything we needed, the Sisa Supermarket and some lovely aperetivo spots and restaurants in Porticello. Mariangela was the most amazing host: Helped us so many times organising transport and even organised the most incredible cooking class for us in Palermo. She was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond if we had any questions. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We honestly didn’t want to leave and we’ll absolutely be back the next chance we get!

This house blew our minds. The location is among the most beautiful that I have ever seen. The panoramic ocean views were unbelievable. The location is on a private road that is not easily accessible, which means it is very private! Francesco went out of his way to make is comfortable, even offering to provide us a gift basket of local foods (at a great low price). The view is much better than the pictures show. Our only regret was that we did not stay here longer!! We will be booking again next year. It’s worth the travel for us (Miami) just to get back to the stunning place!

Lovely stay to relax and explore Sciacca and Agrigento. Would definitely recommend the Valley of the Temples if you can make it. The property is in a stunning location with great views and is incredibly private. The pool was a delight during the warm days and at night you could see many stars in the sky. We loved staying here.
