This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

Extremely pleasant week in Kendal and surrounding area using Cathy’s lovely accommodation as our base . Fully equipped , very comfortable , lovely decor and the bonus of private parking blended with some very fine weather all added into a perfect week for our family holiday get together. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to be close to amenities within lovely surroundings…..

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this cottage! It was beautiful, peaceful, and had everything you could need plus more. There were fresh eggs and flowers, chocolates, and butter and milk in the fridge for us. We felt right at home and relaxed. It was also VERY clean and the WiFi worked great. The area is beautiful! Loretta and Max were such kind hosts and I couldn’t recommend this place more.

We had a fantastic time and Dwarf Studio was just perfect. It was clean, bright and so comfortable. It had everything we needed and had a real luxurious feel to it. The bed was so comfortable and Julie had really gone the extra mile to make our stay, right from the moment we first walked the door absolutely perfect. I would recommend this to everyone and will certainly stay here again.

We stayed in June for 4 nights as a family group of four adults for a birthday getaway and had the most wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, characterful and peaceful, absolutely immaculate on arrival and we especially loved the outdoor area with the seating and BBQ - we were blessed with warm and sunny weather so we could use it! We were very thankful to be able to bring our dogs as well and want to say an extra thank you for allowing that - great communication from host Craig. There is parking for three cars and it's only a short drive (approx 15-20mins) to Bowness - we did a boat trip from here one day. We also ate one night at the Mason's Arms down the road and had a very nice meal. Overall 10/10 from us!

We have just returned home from 4 nights at Julie's ex-guesthouse and we absolutely loved it. We were a group of 5 adults, a 9 year old and 18 month old and there was space for all of us. Each room has its own ensuite and the kitchen is well stocked. The whole place was very clean and the utility room is also massive which helps if you need to do any washing while staying there. We will definitely look to use Julie's place again in the future. Julie replied in good time to any messages and is very friendly. Highly recommend as a great place to get around the Lakes from too.

This Airbnb is wonderful and we would definitely stay again. The location is perfect - within close walking distance to the pubs and restaurants of downtown Sedbergh, yet in a quiet, peaceful spot on the edge of town right on a great walking path. It's also a good location in the sense that it's close enough to the Lake District to use as a base for exploring that area, as well as being in the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The house is clean, well-equipped, and the photos are accurate. It's a very nice place with no real negatives to mention.

Beautiful home, surrounded by amazing gardens. Never been to an Airbnb that had more facilities and extras - from bbq and fuel to loads of condiments, to all of the leisure requirements you may need. Watching the wildlife on a morning and evening was beautiful and tranquil. Thank you Joel for sharing your home with my family.

Excellent and comfortable stay for big groups! It has practically everything one may need with a very well equipped kitchen. There’s also a charging port to charge your vehicle and the wifi connection was good as well. No issues with network either. But the best thing is the amazing view from the bedrooms and the garden - simply gorgeous!

We stayed at the house for a wedding and the photos really do not do it justice. Everything was well set out and beautifully done. It is right in the heart of town, we ate and drank in a few places recommended by the hosts. I would absolutely come back.

We had a lovely family time at Kempton House. The location is great just 10 minutes walk to the Windermere pier. There are lots of restaurants around. Lovely decorations, stylish dining room and living room. It’s children friendly too. Georgie provides cot and a bucket of toys, which is very helpful to keep the kids busy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great stay at The firs in Bowness. Very clean, well equipped, well maintained living space done to a professional standard. Good communication throughout. Excellent local recommendations, very nice area of the lakes to explore with plenty of restaurants, bars, and parks in walking distance

We had a really lovely time. Beautiful accommodation and very comfortable. Great hosts. Perfect base to explore the Lakes. Lots to do within walking distance. Would 100% recommend to anybody. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Hopefully we’ll be back one day.

The cottage was lovely and clean. We loved the deck and its beautiful views. We had very hot weather but the downstairs bedrooms stayed nice and cool, and the hosts checked in to make sure the settings were comfortable for us. Our only small issue was getting our car out of the parking space, as it was quite tight, but we managed. Overall we had a wonderful, peaceful stay.

Had an amazing stay at Shelt Gill. The views were amazing and the cottage was cosy for the 3 of us. Easy to walk along the footpath to Coniston which takes about 20 minutes. The Ship inn is a 2 minute walk along the footpath which served nice food and the staff were friendly. Walked coniston old man by turning up the hill out of the cottage. We were really lucky to have such lovely weather and enjoy the place. Thank you Jon.

Came here with my partner and two young kids and had the best time, absolutely lovely home and a great responsive host. We have visited the Lake District many times and can honestly say this was by far our best choice of accommodation, great location, plenty of local amenities within walking distance. The accommodation its self was immaculate and very spacious/homely. The kids loved it. Clare was a great host who ensured we had a stress free four day trip, we will most definitely be returning!

Great base for local walks, and open water swimming off the jetty at the bottom of the garden. Plus plenty of space for competitive board games in the house. Loved it.
