Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Commewijne District

We were first kindly welcomed by the park security and this one showed us the house where we needed to be. There was Indra's husband to welcome us. He gave us a short tour of the house. Key and garage badge were handed over. It was a beautiful house exactly as the pictures on the site also showed. A great space for the 3 of us. Indra's husband gave us a few more tips for restaurants in the area and a few supermarkets where we could make the first purchases. You do need a car to get around. The park is secured which gives you a safe feeling. The average time for a ride to Paramaribo via the high bridge is about 25 minutes, which is easy to do. We had a great time and saw a lot. Everything in the house was fine. We did our best to leave the house as we found it on our 1st day. All in all, these were very nice days.

If you are looking for peace, a beautiful green environment and a good host who will show you the way (should you need it) then this is definitely recommended. Commewijne is by far my favorite place to stay in Suriname, and especially Jagtlust. It's really beautifully green. If you want to go to the city center... you will be there in no time (20/30 min drive). What makes the stay (and the location) so special is that there are monkeys (and many more exotic animals). Very impressive. In short, highly recommended!!

We are very happy to have rented Anita's apartment. We were there for my father's farewell. I stayed there with my sisters and our children. It was a resting place in all the chaos. We really needed that. When we left, one of our children forgot his passport. And Anita acted quickly and had the passport delivered to the airport as soon as possible. I am very grateful for the good care!

Freank is really a superhost. Very friendly. During our stay, he really picked up and arranged things right away. As far as I'm concerned, he deserves 6 stars. The house itself is in a nice and quiet location, plenty of iguanas and birds to see. However, it takes a little longer than we thought to get into the city center, soon three quarters of an hour. But with your own transport, it's easy to do and wonderful to relax here at the end of the day. Convenient that there are two supermarkets nearby. The house is decorated slightly differently than in the pictures (bedrooms white bare walls and there other furniture). Very nice shower and also the extra separate fan works well. We enjoyed our visit to Suriname here and recommend this location if you are looking for something here!

A real luxury setting! The furniture is refined, every detail is thought out with taste and elegance. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable and incredibly chic. The place is about a 10-minute taxi ride from Princess Ramada. In terms of proximity it's okay but you absolutely must find good taxis with good prices. Regardless, I recommend Platinum Homes. **Great stay with Ivonne and Robbert!** We enjoyed 11 days in the beautiful house *Jade*. Ivonne and Robbert were great hosts: welcoming, attentive and always available. The house is spacious, sparkling clean and stylishly furnished, with all the necessary appliances. The bathroom with hot water was a pleasure! The 8 dogs took some getting used to, but very sweet. Although we were little by the river, we enjoyed from the kitchen bar of nature: we saw birds, monkeys and even a sloth! The busy road sometimes caused some noise, but the peace and beauty of the area more than made up for it. A fantastic place with top hosts – 10/10, absolutely recommended!

Good and warm welcome, really a plus. Communication very good, quick response too. There was a small problem but was certainly looked at a new solution very quickly. Which I definitely have been happy with. Definitely enjoyed staying during my vacation.

The apartment is very spacious, bigger than I expected from the pictures. The location is great, quick taxi or 15 minute walk to get to town. Everything you need for cooking at home is available and a small supermarket is right across the road for the basics - as is a local taxi company if you don't want to walk. I felt very safe around there, personally I had no problems throughout my months stay. Primavera was wonderful throughout and offered me help whenever I needed. Loved my stay there

My stay at Jeroen’s place was great. The flat was very comfortable. I asked for a few random things at times during my stay and within a very very short space of time he arranged everything. I highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Airbnb, it’s nice and cozy and had everything to provide you with feeling like home. We had a delay in getting there and they were really flexible with us checking in way after the time we were supposed to check-in, there was a booklet that had all of the ideal spots to visit including supermarkets etc that was really helpful and the community was nice and quiet and a very peaceful.

We had a fantastic stay with Louis. We further picked up from the airport and brought to the accommodation. It was a beautiful place, even more beautiful than we expected based on the pictures. It was a very spacious apartment, with all the comforts. Wonderful beds and a small kitchen with all necessary appliances. The apartment was modern and cozy. The pool was beautiful and lovely to cool off every day.

Extremely good price-quality ratio. The apartment is in a quiet, secure neighborhood. By taxi or private transport you are quickly in the city center. The house is luxurious, spacious and very comfortable due to all amenities.

Really enjoyed my stay at Charley’s place. I stayed in the small studio private condo which is perfect for one person maybe two. Loved the small patio hammock overlooking a small leafy well kept garden. Kitchen, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, a/c, WC with hot water. Two twin beds pushed together for one big bed. Charley is a very good nice and helpful host, he was gracious enough to give me flexible check in/out. If there’s anything I would be critical of it’s the WiFi - it works but isn’t strong. But in general, I recommend.
