Family-friendly vacation rentals in Comfort

The love shack was perfect for a weekend away! We grilled, enjoyed the hot tub, relaxed by the fire ring and on the back porch with gorgeous views. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed, from fire wood for the fire ring to k cups for the coffee pot, and lots of clean towels. We came down for a motorcycle rally, and scenic rides, but this was such a perfect little cabin, that we will absolutely be back. The host was thorough with the instructions, and super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We were secluded but not too far from grocery stores or restaurants, they were just a little drive away. The bed was SO comfortable too, we both slept great! We had a wonderful time here at the love shack, and can’t wait to come back.

We had such a great time! I lived in Germany for a short bit many years ago and this sweet cozy house reminded me of the experience. It was fun to look around at all the decor from Germany. It was nice and quiet, and just a short uber ride from town. We loved the surprise German pastries put in our room and appreciated the bottled water that we forgot to bring with us! Thank you for being such a lovely host. We’d totally visit again.

It started out a bit rough with A/C issues, but they were extremely quick to be helpful and make things right. They continued to communicate next steps. Great location, very clean, enough room and would definitely stay there again. The outside area is perfect for this time of year! Everyone had a great time.

This place was the cutest!! Quiet, private, beautiful, and super clean. We were very comfortable in the area. Host was awesome and super nice. Would definitely recommend. If we're in the area again, we will definitely try to stay here again. (The beds, pillows, and linens were literally the most comfortable I've ever had in any rental!!)

This stay was exactly what my husband I needed! I just sat outside and listened to the birds early in the morning, something I also love doing at home. I could've sat outside all day if it wasn't Texas in June! ha! The cabin itself was just as described. The photos do make it seem a bit bigger but honestly, you don't need bigger for 2 people. We went to Canyon to just spend time on the water. After over doing it the first day, we instead, chose to spend our second full day just enjoying the cabin. We had some hot tub time in the afternoon, played board games for a couple of hours, and just rested! For anyone worried about how close the cabin is to the main house, don't worry! It's positioned for privacy! It was so stinking relaxing and I can't wait to go back.

It was a short stay but Judith accompanied us with everything we needed. Would stay here again! Love Fredericksburg and this location was perfect to Main.

This is a wonderful ranch like get a way and it was just what we were looking to find. We are so tired of motels/hotels, crowded towns and streets. It is nice to just get out away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. Birds, a deer, a turkey, and some wildflowers thrown in just added to the enjoyment . Resting on the patios in the evening looking at a dark sky full of stars was very relaxing. It is hard to describe the tranquility of the evenings we spent. It was an unexpected treat. So many sites close by to visit and see if you are inclined to do so. It was also nice that we were out away from it all and yet within a short distance of food, groceries and other amenities. Janet is the hostess with the Mostess. She was on top of everything! Super communications, super accommodations, and friends advice to help make our stay so enjoyable. OH, and sweet treats on our arrival that were very special! Thank you Janet!

Perfect spot to hang around and walk to town, restaurants, and live music or to chill by the river. It’s a straight shot to San Antonio and many other local tourist towns, which made it a great location as well. We had a great time and would love to come back!

The room is very cozy. Nice seating to talk. Walking distance to most places we wanted to be. Dog Friendly. Bed was comfy for my bad back, I like softer, plush mattresses. Nice pillows as well. Quiet neighborhood, easy to find and park. Timothy always was great at answering my messages relatively quickly. The restroom has a fan but is not very cool in the summer. We propped the fan Timothy left in the eating area on the bed in front of the ac unit to circulate the cold air and it made a huge difference for us. The bathroom was stocked with great tp, nice towels, bath mat, soap, lotion, and hand soap, shower is a little small for me I’m 5’10 237. You have to use the key to close the front door, the door knob will not latch. The tv had Netflix while we relaxed before bed. It was a great experience. We are grateful we found this place and it was available. My wife and I enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend it and would return.

Had a lovely few days in hill country at this place. Very peaceful neighborhood, no loud neighbors , plenty of birds chirping and occasional deer trodding by. Bandera isn’t the most lively town, but if you were searching this region for a place, you probably know what you’re getting into or this is close to what you’re attending or visiting.

Awesome place for a getaway! Only 10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, so it’s far enough to feel like you’re away from town and in your own place, and close enough to be near the excitement when you want it. The house is super cute, well-put together, and the land it’s on is beautiful. All-in-all it’s an amazing place. I’d highly recommend staying here, and the hosts are very friendly!

This was our second time staying at Last Stand (in a different container home) and it was just as great! The location is close to plenty of wineries and Fredericksburg, and the container is cozy and comfortable. Thanks for another great stay!!

I stayed at John & Suzanne’s place for a couple of months with pets & had an amazing & comfortable time! It’s super peaceful with beautiful sunsets, starry skies & orchards that are great for walking - I walked them almost every day to get my steps in! The birds singing in the mornings made it feel simply magical. I have the Merlin Bird ID app & would regularly clock in 10-12 different bird species almost every morning! No issues with WiFi, neighbors, parking, or mail delivery. Pedernales Falls State Park is nearby, make sure to check it out & schedule a reservation ahead of time unless going after hours. Dripping Springs is the closest town for groceries (H‑E‑B) about 20min drive. Easy access to get to Austin, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, etc. John & Suzanne were friendly & great hosts - I’d definitely stay again :)

My family and I had been searching for a home that would have the space and such that we needed. We found Vanessa’s beautiful home and it was more than expected. We had an amazing time and my kids enjoyed the pool so much. My husband even made a comment that he would buy her place if he could! Vanessa was a responsive and accommodating host. I couldn’t have asked for a better host. Thank you for everything! We are looking to rebook if plans don’t fall through for next year!

Place was amazing but it is a smart house. We had trouble with the TV and lights hooking it up on our phones. The TV wanted us to download an app and add a credit card. The outside was amazing, especially the hot tub. Only down fall was the storm knocked the outside lights out so we swam in the dark. Overall, it was amazing!

We had an amazing time at this house in Kerrville. The photographs of this house just don’t do it justice - It’s even better in person. The location is 10 minutes max from town and has the most lovely views from the backyard. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals from scratch- probably the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever had in a vacation rental. The beds are very comfortable. The living space was roomy and had such interesting artwork. The back porch was a delight to sit out on any time of day. The pool was a little chilly the weekend we were there but that’s just because a big storm system had gone through the night before. We still had a fun afternoon in the pool. If you are not there in the height of summer and want to swim, you might want to consider paying to heat the pool- but remember that you need to do that in advance. We would highly recommend this rental home and hope to return.

Great get away ! If you are looking for a private and peaceful place to stay, this is it ! Not just that but Cathy and Tim were very helpful and very fast to solve anything we were wondering about. Kids had a blast at the pool and not to mention looking at goats & deers running around the property. This place felt so welcoming we didn’t want to leave. Definitely going back soon ! ⸻ This was, without a doubt, my favorite Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in—and I’ve stayed in many! From the moment we arrived, it felt like peace and beauty wrapped into one perfect place. The setting was serene, the home was spotless, and every detail was thoughtfully designed to help you truly relax and let go of any stress you walked in with. The farmhouse exceeded all expectations. Honestly, our favorite day of the trip was the one where we didn’t leave the property—we just stayed put and soaked it all in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the pillows were amazing, and the outdoor space (including the pool!) was everything we could’ve hoped for. There’s not a single thing I would change. We will absolutely be back, and I recommend this place without hesitation to anyone looking for a peaceful, restorative getaway. Simply perfect.

From the time my family arrived to the house we were satisfied, left easy instructions for everything we needed in the house. Was attentive to us when we needed it. My kids and I made memories on this vacation will definitely be back to use this Airbnb again!

The stay was exactly what we hoped for. The view alone is worth the price. The pool and the spa were amazing. As a unexpected great bonus, one of the neighbors has a kangaroo, a zebra and what sounded like a peacock as his pets. Amazing morning views seeing the animals. Great property
