Vacation rentals with a kayak in Colón Island

Wow! What amazing hosts. Our plane crashed on landing (everyone was fine, just a bit traumatized!) and Claudia and her husband took incredible care of us- ordering pizza after we arrived, finding clothes for us since we had no luggage, and navigating the aftermath of the accident. We would not have been able to enjoy ourselves if it weren’t for them. The home was lovely and a gorgeous location. The only negative was when we tried to come back late there were no taxis to take us so we had to do the 20min walk which was hard after a long day (easy in the morning).

Such a tranquil atmosphere right on the water, Claudia and Marlin were sweet throughout our whole trip, and the free access to their equipment was a huge bonus. We did a day of kayaking with no extra cost.

We loved our stay in Bastimientos. The location of the house was easy to get to and a quick water taxi to town or to the beach. We had plenty of space and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our kids loved taking the kayaks out and swimming off the dock. We saw sting rays and dolphins just outside. JJ was a great host and set us up with boat tours and beach tours. He also provided us with several water taxis that were always available. It was a very nice quiet and peaceful stay and we really enjoyed the outdoor space.

From start to finish we had an incredible stay at Coral Bay. The location is beautiful and the accommodation is just perfect. Alfred kindly organised our airport transfer and also a day trip to go snorkelling and sloth spotting! We left feeling so well looked after, Alfred and his team really cared that we had a fantastic trip. It’s very overwhelming deciding which island / accommodation to go for in Bocas Del Toro, but I can promise you nothing will beat Coral Bay!

The house is lovely but I think it’s worth noting that it’s very remote meaning that it’s literally on the water and you need a water taxi to get to the main island ($25 each way). My advice is to have food and drinks with you as well as toiletries such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner etc because it’s not provided and since the house is on the water you can’t easily leave. If you are looking for privacy this is definitely the place to be.

We had a great stay at Steve’s house on Isla Carenero. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and had everything you need for your stay. The deck was great to relax and enjoy the view. We also enjoyed using the included kayaks several times during our stay. Steve was extremely helpful with anything we needed and called our water taxis for us. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Steve!

Our overall experience with the house and the host were extraordinary, we felt super welcome at all times, Aristides helped us at all times, she gave us excellent recommendations from local shops, I give us a lot of help with transportation and in general was an extraordinary person, we were delighted with the place, everything was very comfortable, clean and quiet. We are delighted with both the place and the host and look forward to coming back soon.

awesome stay; great hosts and safe area

This is one of the top places I have ever stayed in my life. What a privilege it was to stay and be so immersed in nature. while it is isolated, that was exactly what we were looking for. there is incredible Coral right in front of the dock, and dozens of the giant starfish that people pay to see on tour. Off-Grid, quiet, beautiful, a nature lovers dream. honestly I can't wait to get back. Rodney was incredibly communicative beforehand helping us decide what to pack + what to make sure we bought before arrival. he arranges your transport from Bocas to his beautiful house and back which is a huge bonus. he also provides potable water. Kind and attentive hosts, they really made us feel at home + appreciated. if you love nature, amphibians, the birds, and of course snorkeling, and you're okay with skipping The nightlife then this is the place for you!

A beautiful place, completely isolated, wonderful if you are looking to relax, absolutely recommended if that is what you are looking for, and the host is super friendly and attentive

Beautiful bnb in a stunning, tranquil setting! Lourdes was an attentive, communicative host and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this home for single travelers and couples wanting a peaceful and private vacation. With that said, we had no problem visiting other islands that were more populated. We kayaked to the Red Frog marina and walked to Red Frog Beach, and we also had no problems getting water taxis to Boca Town on NYE. Be sure to stop at the grocery store before you arrive at the Air BnB, as there are no restaurants on Isla Solarte. :)

Wonderful cabin in the middle of the jungle and with an ocean view from the whole house. It has a private dock where you can sunbathe and swim in crystal clear water overlooking the jungle and bay. Elena is an excellent host, she gave us a lot of information on what to do and how to get around the island, as well as inviting us to a yoga class led by her in a beautiful place. We had an amazing time, we would definitely stay there again.
