Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Coimbra District

Luis and his family were incredibly hospitable! Luis greeted us on arrival and gave a wonderful historical tour of the property and surrounding village. Luis’s mother and father who live on site, were very attentive to our stay & asked if we’d like fresh bread delivered everyday, which we very much appreciated and enjoyed. The home was well stocked and had every amenity you need! Although the home was a little further outside of Coimbra than we anticipated, the much needed peace and quiet was welcomed. The area felt so safe and many locals in town left their keys right in the front door as we walked by! We found a nearby flowing river that was walkable from the home and just wow! What a beautiful hidden gem! We highly recommend this host and property!

This is one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed. The home is in an amazing village and is so peaceful and beautiful with great views. The location is very accessible to fun hiking trails. Lousã is good to stock up on groceries. The home has good wifi and the bottle of wine the host left was such a thoughtful and pleasant surprise. We really liked sitting on the patio having food and wine and just taking in all of the surroundings. I have never been somewhere so unique. Such a special place.

We had a lovely stay enjoying Coimbra. The comfort of the apartment and the great breakfast Eduardo thoughtfully placed in the refrigerator made we feel like home! The freshly baked breads were highly appreciated! My husband and I already talked about coming back to Coimbra and staying here again!

We stayed 3 nights, but longer would have been nice too. The house is spacious, clean and close to the city center. With nice restaurants and beach. Even with children, this seems like a great location. The possibility of using the bikes is a nice bonus. And there are bike paths :-). We highly recommend it.

My family very much enjoyed this unique and calm location in a refurbished mill house. There is a boardwalk across the road that brings you to the village. David was responsive and helpful. Would gladly return.

The view is amazing and the place is very peaceful. Bring some supplies with you as the nearest supermarket is 15m away (by car) and enjoy the nature. Everything was as announced, clean and with everything needed to cook.

Very nice house with all the comforts and very complete, there is everything to spend the whole stay, everything impeccable, we felt right at home, a quiet place ideal to disconnect and be in a natural environment. Near Coimbra, which is where we were going. Pedro has been very attentive and responds very quickly if you have any questions. I definitely recommend it 100%. We went with 5 friends and the space is perfect for everyone. We will definitely return, but next time I will go with my children, it seems ideal for children.

Great place to stay. Lots of space and perfectly maintained. Even more beautiful than in the photos. Sergio was a very good host and keeps everything super well together with his brother. It was great for our 4 year old daughter. Nice playground. I'd go back in a minute.

Very clean, furnished and well-located accommodation. Ideal for families of up to 5 people. We stayed approximately 12 days and the accommodation has all the necessary infrastructure. Very close to downtown Coimbra and the main tourist attractions. I thank Paulo very much for his attention and promptness. We hope to be able to return again!

David’s apartment was a great place for our night in Coimbra. It’s very close to the walled city, which made it easy to walk around and explore. It was also near several luggage storage places which helped on our partial day in the city. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the views of the old city. It was also near several cafes and restaurants, which was a bonus. We would stay again.

Paula is an excellent host. He welcomed us with a smile and immediately made us feel at ease, showing availability to help with anything we needed. The apartment is in excellent condition and is in a quiet area.

I had no problems in my stay, as I had already rented another studio in the same place a few years ago. Matched the expectations. Easy to access location in Coimbra. Market practically in front of the studio. I have nothing to complain about. I thank the hosts for their attention. See you soon!!!

Tiago’s family’s home is beautiful, and in an amazing location! Very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Tiago was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The place is across from a bar, but with ear plugs and white noise (also closes at 1am, so not too late), we had amazing sleeps in a very comfortable bed! Highly recommend this Airbnb!

My family and I were very impressed with our host. He was very friendly and quick to respond to our needs. He gave us many helpful suggestions and recommendations for our stay. The apartment is in an ideal location and within walking distance to many excellent restaurants, shops, cafes, and bakeries. During our stay, my family felt right at home and had a game night by playing chess with some of the games available from the host. The trip's highlight was the view and the wonderful smells emanating from the local Portuguese cuisine.

Even though it is listed as being in Figueira da Foz, it is actually in the neighbourhood of Buarcos. Much better. More authentic. You are steps away from the beach. Daniel and Elisabete are a nice, hardworking couple. Very friendly. The place is perfect, quiet and in the old part of town. You are within the old remparts. Nice walks and beach strolls all around. Lidl supermarket 5 minutes away. The terrace is beautiful. Big plus. I definitely recommend this place.

Excellent! A very nice place to go on vacation. The house is beautiful , with everything we need to spend a few weeks on vacation . The view we have of the Ocean is wonderful. Mr. António is very attentive . I highly recommend it.

Perfect location for a solo traveler, staying just one night in Coimbra. what I loved was how walkable the apartment was to everything, from the city center to the gardens to the university. And then all of the river walk being so accessible and close was a huge bonus. I really enjoyed my overnight here and found the apartment to have what I needed. Eduardo and Manuela were responsive and helpful!

This place was great for our 3 day stay. Short walk to pedestrian bridge over river into town. Quiet, comfortable, great light and ventilation and well equipped kitchen and very good washer and drying machine. Used Uber a few times and worked great. Host is very responsive!

The place was clean, cozy, and perfectly located near great restaurants and popular tourist spots! It had the charming feel of a traditional home, but with a stylish modern twist!

Everything pretty clean and comfortable Lacks some cooking materials, but for a few days stay is more than enough
