Easy walk to Lake Merritt or 12th St BART stations. One block from Lake Merritt. Quiet building. Perfect.

Wonderful stay! Kathy and Barry were very welcoming and provided us with easy instructions on finding the place as we came in the evening. The place was clean, cozy, and had lots of homey touches like snacks and bottled water. The location was walkable to the downtown area where we found great restaurants and quaint shops. It was also very close to the waterfront. It was a great value for the location and amenities and would definitely consider staying there again.

Carlos was very gracious and responsive. We met informally on the walkway into the house and he was friendly and shared the history of the house. There are many unique decorative objects in the house from Bali and other travels. The setting is homey and cultured at the same time. We had a minor accident on the stairs and Carlos was right there with offers of assistance. All was well, and his response was kind and reassuring.

Exactly as described, very private space with a great view. Space was clean and the vibe was amazing. Perfect for two people, had everything we needed. Host was responsive and accommodating, would stay again when we are back in SF. Short lyft drive into the city, great location. Thanks!

Belinda's place was worthy of all of the 5 stars I just submitted. We were entirely pleased with all aspects of her home and our stay. If it matters to future travelers, there are 45 steps from the sidewalk to the front door. We managed these steps, but there is no getting around them.

Fabulous trip! We were greeted warmly by Jana and settled easily into the spaces of this large character home on a quiet cul de sac. It worked perfectly for our group of four. We loved the peaceful feeling of being on the water and the nearby pathways along the bay; it's lovely to sit outside to read and sip something. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it is very well-equipped. We got in some great hikes and meals at Mt. Tam, San Rafael, San Anselmo, Fairfax and Pt. Reyes as well as a SFMOMA day in the city. A wonderful location! Don't hesitate.

Kyle is an amazing host. Friendly, reasonable and super prompt. It felt like he was right there with us. We definitely felt like this was a great place for us. Kyle was truly invested in us having a good experience and it showed in all our messages. The place has everything for a short and long term stay and is close to restaurants, grocery stores and the beach. Great spot overall!

What a lovely place in a quiet neighbourhood. A comfort bed, a big shower, and a wonderful seating area in the sun in front of the apartment overlooking the bay are only a few of the bonuses. Carol is a great host, very communicative and respectful of space. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Steve's AirBnb. It had everything we needed and some. Having two bedrooms was a plus for us. When the snoring started, there was a bump-out room. Very clean. All needed items present for living easily. We walked to our conference each day through nice neighborhoods. We found it quite delightful, that when we wanted to cross a street without stop signs, people would stop for us in Alameda. Steve gave us good tips for lunch spots and he is super sweet. We highly recommend this place.

Sinead is a great host. Her suggestion for Chinese food (Hunan Yuan) was very good! The supply of coffee, creamer, and hot cereal was a really special touch. The unit is well supplied. We will stay again.

We loved this backyard cottage! Super comfortable, fresh, well run … terrific location for visiting our Alameda friends, morning coffee walks … will definitely be booking again (and recommending to friends on the island when they have visitors)

Great clean and modern place. Excellent location and communication, entry, etc. There is quite a bit of street noise so ear plugs are a must, but it might not bother most people. I'm very sensitive.

Even before leaving home for our trip, Michelle was wonderful! She answered our questions prior to booking. Communication with her was very helpful and easy. We highly recommend her cottage and hope to stay with her again in the future. The location is very easy to get to off of the highway. It was very convenient for visiting our UC Berkeley student. Street parking was available nearby. Her property is private, secure, and quiet. We felt very much at home and welcomed by her. Her cottage had everything we needed and more. The cottage is exactly as pictured in her listing. Michelle’s place is bookmarked for us for future stays!

Fantastic spot- central on the island but felt like a you were still off on your own.

I was so glad to meet Julienne and experience Alameda. I hope I will be there again soon.
