Wonderful place to stay and very kind host. We very much enjoyed our two-night stay and would love to come back in the future. Very spacious house with a great kitchen and other facilities. Also, we could enjoy some fresh herbs and fruits during our stay. Knowledge of the Japanese language is very helpful for communication.

Entire 2nd floor/Comfortable and quiet traditional house, "Guesthouse Kokuminmachi Kayanoki"

A huge thank you for the welcome! We felt welcomed like family. The place is beautiful and breakfast was amazing with fresh homemade 🍞 bread. Our only regret is that we didn't plan time to spend with our hosts who have a lot to say. They are people with a beautiful and rich history. Thanks!

Kamesei Ryokan, quiet onsen inn, private standard

KenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Kamesei ryokan provided us a beautiful and peaceful retreat after staying in busy, bustling Tokyo. Tyler and Mari wer accommodating and helpful, and we liked that we could book a private bath because my wife is not used to public baths. You could also soak in the onsen baths rich in minerals inside the ryokan or walk around in your yukata and try many public onsen in town. Don't sleep on the local restaurants either if you have time! We also liked all the turtle motifs throughout the place! It's a great experience for anybody but especially for a foreigner staying at a ryokan for the first time.

The check-in instructions were very polite, and I was grateful for the quick response. The inn was a very relaxing space surrounded by special furniture. The air I breathed in the morning in the veranda garden was very pleasant. It was a place I would definitely like to stay again!

15 guests/Private rental/parking 4 cars/sauna/BBQ

MiyakoRating, 5 stars5 days ago
I used it as a base for a trip to meet a friend who lives in Ueda City.I stayed for 4 nights, but it was a spacious, clean and well-equipped facility, and I had a stress-free stay. Thanks to the large refrigerator, kitchen facilities, and washer and dryer, I was able to get through a long stay with good value! The problem was that the daytime temperature was high, so it was difficult to cool the entire floor with only the air conditioner in the back of the first floor at check-in.Also, the road to the facility is narrow, so if you make a mistake on the route to the entrance of the gate, you will have trouble parking. They responded quickly and politely to questions before and during my stay, and I was able to use it with peace of mind, even though I had children.Thank yal soo much!!
