Family-friendly vacation rentals in Charlotte County

This place is really nice. We spent much of our stay looking at properties for a potential move so we weren’t on a standard vacation. Spent some time at the beaches and up in Venice. Went fishing on a charter from the marina next door. He condo itself is beautiful and roomy. Kitchen well equipped. No complaints at all. I would certainly stay there again. Becky is great to work with. Highly recommended.

My family just spent a week at Turtle Landing and we liked it so much we booked for 2026 before we left. Although we arrived late at night, we were able to find the property easily as it was well marked and lit. The property is spacious and comfortable with a wrap around terrace which is tremendous and adds an additional room for gathering. The pool gets sun nearly all day, so we enjoyed finishing up our trips to the beach with some time around the pool. My niece and I made use of the kayaks, and there is plenty of areas to explore. This was a key attraction for us and a real differentiator when comparing properties. Turtle Landing has it all….beach nearby, kayaks for the bay, and a pool and hot tub! Scott was a lovely host and extremely responsive to inquiries. We did rent a golf cart from Barb and I recommend this as it gives you a chance to really explore the island….and allows you to quickly get to the beach, or the local water hole (Rum Bay) with ease. What a beautiful place to stay! It was so comfortable and quiet. The pool and Jacuzzi were awesome! We were 10 minutes from anything we needed. Great location and pleasant owners. They quickly responded to any of our questions. Would definitely reserve again.

This is the second year in a row that our family stayed here for Christmas break. It's spacious for all of us with 2 young boys. My son loves the fishing in the canal and we all love relaxing on the lanai while the kids swim. It is the warmest pool we have ever had for swimming. We eat all our meals outside also when weather permits. Thanks again , Jo, for making Christmas break 2022 another wonderful time. The Carman's

We had an amazing stay during March 2025, with sunny weather every day. Doug and Moe were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The accommodations were clean and quiet. Perfect location. Highly recommend for a memorable experience. We had our kids and grandkids stay with us for a week and the home was able to accommodate all of us for a wonderful spring vacation. Will be back to stay again in the future.

Lorna has a wonderful , comfortable , clean place, better than pictures, and a great location. She does a great job staying involved in our stay, and does everything to make it exceptional. This listing has a great pool, active marina off your balcony, and connections with a boat ride to the beach. At the time of our stay, do to 2024 hurricane damage , these amenities were not available. Lorna kept us aware of what to expect and had suggestions / recommendations to enjoy our visit. She has excellent dining recommendations, and Boca Grand beach’s were opening up. When all these amenities open up, this place will be an excellent value. We hope to return.

This is an incredible house. The location is perfect and private. We had our little pug with us and it was exactly what we needed. The pool is warm and clean and very enjoyable as the sun goes down. The bed was super comfy and the kitchen well appointed. I’ve stayed at a lot of rentals and this is one of the best. If you’re looking for a rental just book this one. You won’t be disappointed.

The Duplex was very, very clean. The Charging Station located on the leather sofa was a wonderful extra benefit! Doris was quick to respond to the beeping smoke alarm at the time we checked into the Duplex. Another unexpected plus included the LED lighting on the King Bed headboard! The duplex is on a quiet street but also quick & easy access to a main highway. We were very pleased with our stay and will consider staying here next time.

We felt at home, the place was warm and cozy. The instructions were all laid out about everything. The kitchen had everything! We spent most of our time in the pool. It was a great vacation. Pam did an awesome job in communicating and was very responsive. Highly recommend, we would stay again if we have family in town!! Kudos to Pamela and George for extra linens for all the beds, lots of bath towels and everything you need to go to the beach, including towels!

This home was perfect. It was very clean, and had lots of room for our family to spread out. We had both of my kids on virtual school, I had a few zoom calls for work and we took our breaks in the pool! We never ate indoors. The lanai was perfect, the beds were comfortable, and the bathtub was relaxing! Loved every minute in this house while visiting family.

Great location with lovely views. Home is very comfortable and super clean with perfect location with all the amenities you need. The host is very kind and she has excellent communication.

Todd’s place was great and he is extremely helpful and communicative! He had helpful instructions for the whole house. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed time in the pool the peaceful neighborhood. Close to beaches, bike paths and amenities. Highly recommend!

Great host! Very communicative. Wonderful, easy going condo. We enjoyed losing track of time while sitting on the screened-in porch watching the bay/waterfront.

We really enjoyed staying in the Little Lake Life house. It was charming, clean , and convenient. What we liked best was the back yard with pool and lanai, watching the beautiful wildlife on the lake!

Gorgeous home. Loved the back patio and pool. Beds were very comfy too! very quiet neighborhood. We loved hearing the birds in the morning and the owl at night!

Amazing stay! Very private, gorgeous property. Our local contact was very responsive. It’s worth the stay just being next to the water and watching the wildlife! Would 100% stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at William's place! It was peaceful and spacious, and the pool was a huge hit for our three teenagers! They have a beautiful home and shared many amenities with us to use during our stay. Public beaches weren't too far, and they provided recommendations in nearby areas. We will definitely be staying here again!

Mitchell’s place was so nice and homey for our family. My mom, my fiancé, our 8 month old and I all stayed here very comfortably. The two chairs in the living room were rockers so that was a HUGE plus for having a baby. The beach was a super short drive and there is an AWESOME goodwill right next door- if you’re into thrifting like me you’ll love this :) Farlows on the water was an amazing place for lunch. Ken and Barbs was a great place for dinner. Then to top it off, Made in the Shade is a nearby ice cream place that was also delicious. We enjoyed our stay and would love to travel back.

Mike was easy to communicate with prior to arrival. Dylan, the local manager, was quick in his replies to questions. We enjoyed the pool area. On cool days, the area outside the pool was sheltered and warm. We were glad we paid for the pool heat for a couple of weeks. No need to bring beach/pool towels as there is an ample supply. The neighborhood park on Broadmoor has a couple of ponds with a resident alligator and water birds. The kitchen was very well stocked with all kinds of dishes, glassware, pots, pans and utensils. There’s a closet full of toys and a high chair and booster seat in the garage. It was fun to watch the birds at the shoreline (green heron, white egret, anhinga, a stork and a limpkin. The yard slopes down to the dock where you can look up the canal. The living room could use an additional lamp for reading. It would be helpful if the wall switches were labeled as we were forever trying to figure them out. A very well equipped and comfortable home.

Donna was a fantastic host. Her communications and welcome letters were very clear and helpful. Her home felt like home. It is beautiful, fully stocked with everything you may need, and even better than what our family expected. The backyard is perfect. You have the best of all worlds: heated pool, covered and unconvered areas, plenty of seating, a beautiful spacious lawn, and water access. What more can you ask for?! I’d book her home again in a heart beat!
