Cottage vacation rentals in Charlevoix

The house looked exactly like the pictures! The house was very clean and updated. Our party of 7 had plenty of room to enjoy ourselves. The location was private, peaceful, and quiet. We were able to use to local pool access included with the stay, which my kids loved. The couch was very comfortable to relax on and enjoy TV and games. My kids loved the loft area where they could watch TV and play games. The kids room with bunk beds and another bed was a big hit! It was great to have a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. The fire pit area was nice and the deck was wonderful. We had a great stay!

Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

Amazing home with 5 min walk to downtown Walloon. Huge yard with fire pit and hot tub! We loved our stay here and recommend this to anyone considering Walloon accommodations!

What a great stay! I love an A frame and this house was perfect. It was well stocked - even had plenty of wood for the fire pit. The s'mores welcome kit was perfect. I will say that if you have a hard time with stairs then this house probably isn't for you because the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs but Carrie has several other homes to choose from. It really is peaceful. There are neighbors but they are quiet and we only saw one set of neighbors the three days we were there. The dirt roads to the house weren't bad either. I will stay here again and highly recommend it to friends and family. Actually am seriously considering taking my 3 college age daughters for a girls' weekend.

We loved our stay at Anna’s cottage! It was the perfect peaceful sanctuary we were looking for. The property is charming, thoughtfully designed, and elegantly outfitted. The location offers a very private vibe tucked away in the woods while being being in the center of the peninsula and convenient to get around. Anna was a super friendly and helpful host, making sure we had a positive experience every step of the way. We are psyched to return for another retreat at this amazing cottage in the woods!

This cozy, quiet, very clean and homey space has become our favorite rental home of all we have rented. The personal touches really made us feel we were staying at a family or friend’s home. It had paper ware, seasonings, clean pots pans, coffee, zip lock bags, candles throughout the home. The bedding, pillows and towels were top notch. Not to mention the wonderful hot tub, kayaks, dock space, grill and fire pit. I will make mention the 2 bedroom are upstairs. 2 full bathrooms but bathroom upstairs next to bed rooms is a bathtub only. Mark was so pleasant and attentive to answer any of our questions and we look forward to a return trip.

We had a wonderful stay on Crooked Lake! The house was beautiful. Being right on the water was an incredible experience—watching swans, cranes, ducks, woodpeckers, and other birds made it feel like a peaceful retreat. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the fireplace added a cozy touch to our evenings. The hot tub was a highlight—we thoroughly enjoyed unwinding in it while taking in the serene surroundings. Marc and Mitch were excellent hosts, always responsive and helpful. When we encountered a plumbing issue, they immediately contacted a contractor to inspect and resolve it, which we truly appreciated. The location of the home was fantastic! It was close to several wonderful cities, allowing us to explore Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Forest Beach, Middle Village, Good Hart, Cross Village, and Mackinaw City. One of the best parts of our trip was driving the scenic Tunnel of Trees along the coastline—it was breathtaking!

Wonderful cottage with a beautiful view. We loved the hot tub and yard. The kids sleeping area was so cute. Great use of space. Beds were comfy and lines were nice. I would highly recommend this cottage. We will definitely be back!

Nice little cabin, close to many bodies of water and centrally located between Glen Arbor and Leland. Had a great time.

Always our favorite stay! Robert’s place is just as he describes. Clean. Close to everything. Very responsive. Perfect for our family or 4!

First of all the location is just mind blowing. So quite and so private. Access to almost private beach. The cottage was cozy and had all the basic amenities that one would need for a small vacation with family. Whatever query we had Alec always responded within a few minutes. Was very happy with this stay. The only thing i would point out is that the exterior of the place needs a little cleaning and maintenance and i wish the kitchen had a little more utensils but thats about it. The lake is right across the street but not the best spot for bathing as its full of stones and too shallow but still beautiful to just sit and relax.

House was very comfortable and easy for my elderly mother to get around. The handicap ramp and large bedroom and bathroom on the main floor made it possible for her enjoy the weekend. Road noise was not a problem once inside the house. The house was very organized and well equipped with everything we needed. We chose this place because we were traveling with a small dog and they even had dog supplies handy, leashes and paw wipes, right by the front door. The communication with the host was also amazing.

The home was clean and cozy. Our stay was 6 days. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The hosts response time was really quick when we had questions.

Our family/ pups enjoyed staying here! The place was clean and spacious! We enjoyed the fire pit each night! It was a very joyful family vacation!

Great, quite location. Well equipped and clean. Our dog loved the big yard to run while we relaxed on the nice deck. It's very dark at night, take a big basket for all the stars. Loved it, thanks Michelle

Great place to unwind and relax! Ellsworth Lake is such a beautiful spot and holds many memories for our family.

Little Skip Cottage is perfectly located between Sutton Bay and Northport making it easy to enjoy what each area has to offer. Carolyn was quick to respond to our questions about the area and offered suggestions of hikes in the area. The cottage was welcoming and cozy and beautifully decorated. We were able to fix meals in the kitchen that was well stocked and loved all the little “extras” like a coffee bar, spices and condiments. We hope to return soon to one of our favorite places.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at The Dollhouse. It’s a charming little place, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from a beautiful nature preserve and the pristine dunes of Lake Michigan. Sunsets were awesome along the beach and there were hardly any other people when we were there (early June). Linda was a fantastic host, friendly and provided all the amenities we needed and more. It’s very close to downtown Charlevoix and a great spot to stay while exploring the area. I’d highly recommend!

My fiancé stayed here for a weekend with his friends and they had a great time! Tara was quick with responses and was a great host! :)

Lindsay's place looked just like the photos. I went with my family and we all loved the decor inside. The whole time we admired how beautiful the decor is and how everything goes so well together. Every detail was beautiful. The whole house was very clean. I have no complaints and no negatives to mention. Lindsay was also super responsive and helpful! Thank you Lindsay!

We were so pleasantly surprised by the quaint, quiet, beautiful cottage nestled in the woods amongst the surrounding homes. It was so homey, and the 3 season porch was absolutely amazing! By far, the value and location for our 3 night, 4 day getaway was wonderful and exactly as we had hoped:) Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us, and if your looking for an amazing 5 star host and wonderful place to stay... look no further!

What a beautiful little lakefront cottage! We came to Higgins Lake for cross country skiing at CX Skiing Headquarters, 5 minutes from this cottage. Anita was very responsive and left little extras like wine and chocolates. We truly felt at home and the lake views were so beautiful. Thank you!

What a great rental and what great hosts! My wife and I spent four nights at Laurie and Ralph's cabin outside Charlevoix and we didn't want to leave. Very highly recommend. Can't wait to come back again! The house itself is peaceful and comfortable and has everything a couple might need. Outside we sat down by the lake and saw the auroras and took advantage of their kayaks to go for a paddle. Laurie was very helpful and communicative, even sending us a photo of the driveway which is a bit hidden. Ralph even came over with an extra flashlight when the power briefly went out all over town. Charlevoix and the rest of the area was fantastic. Cute town with some great places to eat and just walk through the shops. From Boyne Falls to Petoskey, everything we wanted to do was within a quick and very scenic drive.
