Grove Farm Cottage-historic Cottage near Sherborne

AshkemRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My family traveled around 6 hours to stay here for a family reunion, the cottage was in a perfect location and felt very comfortable. A really stunning cottage that feels so peaceful and far away from the noise of a busy hectic life. A house I would love to live in if I was ever lucky enough to own something similar in a picturesque village. 3 nights was not enough and we would love to book again next summer for a week this time. Thankyou for opening up your home to us for such a lovely occasion.

Superbly converted old tithe barn

TimRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a VERY special place to stay! The amazing barn has everything you need to be comfortable, cosy and warm. The surroundings are stunning with little or no noise other than the birds and other countryside sounds. Peace, solitude and relaxation! If you do want to do other things within 20 minutes you can be eating fish and chips in West Bay or shopping in Bridport!
A compact wood-burning stove is positioned in the corner, surrounded by dark blue tiles that create a contrasting backdrop. A stack of firewood and a small lantern are placed nearby, adding to the cozy appeal of the space.

The Old Forge

SueRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful week at The Old Forge. It’s just as seen in the photos if not better, particularly when taking in the beautiful surrounding countryside of the little hamlet it’s nestled in. Has all the facilities you need..in fact more than in the description as there was a hairdryer and TV, …not that I watched it. It was far more relaxing sitting on the private patio watching the birds. So many varieties, including a nuthatch and a woodpecker. Judy, the host, was welcoming and generous. Along with fresh eggs, milk and Dorset biscuits, Judy brought over flowers and baked a delicious lemon drizzle cake. I had a wonderful stay here and would definitely visit again. Highly recommend a stay.
A quaint exterior of a cottage is visible, featuring a green gabled roof and stone walls. A circular wooden table is surrounded by four chairs on a stone patio, with natural surroundings and a clear blue sky above. The setting offers a peaceful outdoor area.
