Monthly Rentals in Catbells

We had a fantastic stay at Causey Pyke. Lovely to be able to head out the back door for a walk and the house itself was very comfortable with gorgeous views.. There were some lovely eggs and coffee provided for our arrival. My only word of caution is that the house is quite a distance from the nearest shops so if you’re intending to cook make sure you take everything you need - the only pantry items available (apart from the welcome basket) were salt and pepper - in our case the salt was missing but Sarah did provide it the next day. No tea or coffee plunger so take your own if you need them.

The apartment is great and very comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good stay. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed walks to the lakes and also to trails which can be accessed from the from the front door.

The best place for a retreat: secluded, comfortable, has everything you need, dreamlike surroundings! Perfect for those tired of city noises and hungry for beauty. Surrounded by the mountains with a view to the valley with sheep. At night you can hear the river and stargaze. We also had a bonus: a friendly neighbor Nelly, a border terrier, who made us company on a terrace :) Thank you, Shannon! I hope your place will thrive and we'll have another chance to enjoy it.

We had a great stay, definitely helped by the weather. Bassenthwaite is a great location to explore lots of the northern and western lakes and tick off more wainwrights for us. We had a lovely meal at the village pub just around the corner and enjoyed sitting by the stream. The place is very homely and has a very well equipped kitchen to self cater. We’d definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay
