Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Castro Valley

We loved the location because the house was very cool, had a fantastic view and the grounds were great. We liked walking our dog in the neighborhood. We live in Southern California in a similar neighborhood but some might find the drive to the house a little challenging but well worth it when you get there! We hope to stay again next time we visit our daughter.

We stayed in the upstairs unit which was bright & comfortably furnished. There is a cute outdoor space behind the house which is shared by guests in both units.

Gabriele is an accomplished artist and an animal lover. The apartment is replete with art on the walls and on the shelves. There are many many interesting books. The kitchen is very well equipped and the views from the lovely breakfast nook are wonderful. (Be careful or you’ll just want to stay in and read!) We appreciated the detailed instructions for using the appliances. And best of all, everything worked! We enjoyed this place immensely.

Jason’s home was very comfortable, clean and quiet. He was also very responsive. We really enjoyed our stay.

Mel’s place was wonderful! Mel communicated with us prior to our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed and provided recommendations for local restaurants. She made sure to put the lights on for us because we were coming in late in the evening. The place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. The beds were very comfortable and we slept great. Would highly recommend Mel’s place!

It was a unique Victorian house with plenty of off street parking. We had all needed such as kitchen appliances, dishes, washer / dryer, and other amenities. All beds were comfortable. Plenty of spacious area in bedrooms and dinning room. There are plenty of shops and stores nearby. Great access to walk on ferries for San Francisco. Highly recommend visit Alcatraz Island form Pier 33 in San Francisco, If we were to visit Alameda again, we would definitely at Jeff's place. Also Jeff is very responsive to the needs of his guest.

Our stay at Lori and Mike’s place was absolutely fantastic, and Lori truly made it unforgettable. While Mike was away on a trip, Lori went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed—and more. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel so welcome. She was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in creating a comfortable, personalized experience. She checked in with us just enough to make sure we were all set and shared amazing local tips that really made our trip extra special. We booked this place for a family staycation to spend a long weekend doing nothing but relaxing. This place exactly fit the bill. The hot tub was amazing, the pool was lovely and clean. Our little daughter thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The place was clean and well appointed with amenities. Best of all, when we realized we might end up arriving earlier then check in time, Alex promptly set us up to arrive a while hour and a half before time!

Our family had the most incredible weekend at Gina's beautiful home! First of all, a HEATED POOL makes all the difference, huge plus! We loved spending time in the backyard with so many beautiful outdoor areas to hangout with family, including your own private dock with a kayak! We were a little bummed the outdoor firepit wasn't working because we loved being outside so much but maybe next time. We hope to come back soon! We loved the big wooden table and big cozy couch for all 8 of us to enjoy time eating meals and playing games together! It was super convenient to have the grocery store just 6 minutes down the road as well. She was also extremely accommodating which made the stay even better!

Had an excellent stay with our family. Will is one of the best airbnb hosts we have ever had and would stay again at this home or any other home he hosts without hesitation. The cactus home is luxurious and has amazing amenities like heated bathroom floors, great outdoor space with pool and hot tub, and a well equipped kitchen.

This house is incredibly spacious and looks exactly like the photos. All of the linens are well organized and the kitchen had tons of counter space. The fireplace was dreamy in the kitchen and we loved the absolutely enormous television! Very, very soft beds as well.

Melodie truly goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. She thought of things like Contact Lens Solution! This was the first time i’ve ever seen that in a care kit. I also can’t speak more to kindness as when she allowed me to stay an extra hour because I was having a hard time parting ways with this new found peace and comfort. Then I added a second hour and simply felt like extended family at that point. The heated saltwater pool under the blue sky surrounded by chirping birds and nature was extremely soothing to my spirit. I shall return.

We stayed here for a family vacation, while visiting the Bay Area. The pool and spa area were lovely during the heat 90 degree South Bay summer days. The house needs some updates to better justify the price. But other than that, it is a nice property. The host, Allison, really earned a five star review with her excellent communication and focus on customer service. When we encountered issues she was quick to respond and remedy the situation. I would book another AirBnb hosted by Allison anytime.

nice cozy if your looking for a smaller cozy environment clean and comfortable

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home — it had everything our family of four needed during our visit to the Bay Area. The host was incredibly responsive and quickly resolved any minor issues that came up. The neighborhood felt safe, and we always had access to the driveway, which was super convenient. One of our favorite parts was spending time outside — picking lemons from the tree, grilling, and relaxing in the hammock (a big hit with our son!). The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with essentials like olive oil, spices, and even sugar for making fresh lemonade. We’d definitely stay here again!

Quiet neighborhood great view beautiful home highly recommend

Exactly as the listing describes. Close to Hayward BART station, Hayward town hall, and so many restaurants and bars. The unit had a clean bathroom and kitchen. Very comfy bed. Easy access to the unit in front and back. Every time we enter, we are greeted by adorable cats!

George's home is beautiful, clean and well maintained. I love the kitchen! I'm a cook; and we cooked our Thanksgiving dinner there. Because of the time of year we did not get to use the backyard, but I'm sure if we stay here again in the warmer months the patio area will be nice. George is a great host. When coming to visit family in the area again, if available we would definitely stay there again.

It was perfect. We were in town for our daughter’s college graduation from Saint Mary’s College. East access to the highway, nice peaceful location but close to everything you need and the accommodations were lovely. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again.

a pleasant place in Pleasanton! quiet street but close to downtown shops/restaurants/cafes. One feels easily at home here. Would happily stay here over a hotel again in the future.

I have a health condition that requires my medication to be in the refrigerator and he did everything that he could to make it work for me. Great place and very quiet. I loved how he uses every space to accommodate all that is needed for the house. I was very pleased and impressed.
