Be immersed in the peace and quiet of a Tuscan olive orchard by staying in this stone farmhouse which features traditional architectural elements such as terra cotta floors, vaulted ceilings, and original wood fixtures. Dive into the plunge pool with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

House with garden a few steps from the sea

The flat is located on the ground floor and remains pleasantly cool even on the hottest summer days. It offers plenty of peace and quiet and is ideal for anyone looking to relax. Interior: A spacious bedroom with a double bed, a children's room with a bunk bed, a large living area with a fully equipped kitchen and living room and a bathroom with a shower. Outdoor area: A small terrace with sea views and a private garden of 110 m², shaded and perfect for al fresco dining or relaxing in the greenery.

Historic fattoria with pool

The property is about 1 km from the sea (only 8-10 minutes' walk) and has about 150 hectares of land in the hinterland with grain fields, maquis and olive trees as well as a small lake. The Fattoria with about 150 square meters of living space was built around 1800 and has since served the family as a summer and country residence. At the front is a classic garden. The 6 x 20 meter pool is also used by 2 other guest families, but offers enough retreat options due to the spacious complex.

The accommodation is completely renovated and is equipped with air conditioning, safe, mosquito nets and washing machine. It is the perfect place to visit the beautiful beaches of the area, Bolgheri, and all the villages of the Etruscan Coast.

FaccendinaFlat was born from the renovation of a historic Tuscan house a short walk from the sea, in the center of Castiglioncello. La Faccendina has a large and bright double bedroom, a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and, on the attic floor, an open space area with sea view, kitchen, dining area and a comfortable sofa that can easily be converted into a double bed. The house is 50 meters from the sea, the station and the pine forest and very close to all services.
