From Malin it is 3 miles to Culdaff Beach and 8 miles to Malin Head, the most Northerly point in Ireland and used as a location for filming Star Wars Ep VIII. Donegal's Lapland is a 15 minutes drive.

The Poets Rest is a lovingly restored 200 year old thatched cottage situated on the hillside overlooking Bredagh Glen and the seaside village of Moville. It offers all mid cons in a tasteful traditional setting. The cottage is situated within six miles of six stunning beaches and just a mile outside Moville with it's great selection of pubs and eateries and water sports. An architecturally designed modern home on the Wild Atlantic Way, overlooking a wild bird sanctuary with an elevated bird hide at the bottom of the garden; binoculars and bird books in the library. The house is a short drive to Malinhead with its Northern Lights and its Star Wars' location and yet only 2 kms out from Malin Village. The beautiful Five Fingers Strand is a short drive or longer walk away. The hottub is also available for guests.
