Family-friendly vacation rentals in Carmen Beach

Ohana Villas was the perfect place to stay in Santa Teresa! The property is beautiful, it’s well maintained and clean. The pool and pool area is great! A perfect spot to cool off and relax. The owners are present on the property every day & the nicest people! They would check in on how our stay is going, if we needed anything and just to say hi. We were given clear instructions to access the property, a lengthy list of recommendations for food and some overall information. I would stay here again and recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay in ST.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay here 6 nights. Juan was very flexible and responsive, Noelle at the front desk was always helpful and friendly and the maintenance man came and fixed something that we found broken within 10 minutes. The place feels like you’re in your own private sanctuary yet is located at the top of a road that leads down directly into the alley everyone uses to walk onto the beach. There are lots of restaurants and shops just at the bottom of the road too. A local market about 500 meters away carries everything you could need. This is as good overall as AirBnB’s get so I highly recommend staying. Two things to note are that you will need something with 4x4 drive to get up/down the driveway and if you are particular about pillows I would recommend you to bring your own as the ones here are pretty flat. That being said, the bed is large and comfy and the entire layout is very romantic. Thank you Juan to you and your crew! Thanks Noelle!

Guillermo's place was very comfortable and clean. There was AC in both bedrooms and the living room. We did not get to go to the pool since we stayed one night stay only. He gave clear check in instructions that were easy to follow. I like that it is inside a private area and it was very quiet. I would recommend his place to others.

Norman’s place is amazing and he was very communicative and helpful! Would definitely recommend to go there and I would love to go back.

Three of us stayed at Wanderlust to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a friend. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Highlights of the accommodations were the incredibly comfortable beds, the peaceful atmosphere and the fantastic hot tub. What really makes this place stand out is Jai. Jai could not have done more to make our stay a magical occasion. She provided us with impeccable food and drink recommendations, connected us with local, trustworthy transportation and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Jai really is a special treat. We all hope to be back someday.

Randall was the perfect host. We requested early check in because of an engagement we needed to attend early in the day and he worked with us. We would highly recommend his home. Perfect experience for the first time at Costa Rica.

My husband, three-teenaged kids, and I had an amazing stay here! The condo is a great location close to the main strip for restaurants, shopping, groceries. The resort is well kept and the pool is top tier. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! The condo has washer/dryer and A/C which was necessary for our family of five. Communication with host was easy. We had an issue with water leaking from master BR’s A/C unit and Phil immediately had the issue rectified. We rented a car and drove from SJO airport, and we are so glad we did! Getting around is easier with the Waze app. It took us about 2 hours to get from SJO to condo due to afternoon traffic and about 1 hour and 15 minutes for return to airport in the early morning with less traffic. We give our stay at Anik and Phil’s a strong five star!!

Wir ( Familie mit 2 Kindern , 6 & 3 Jahre alt) fühlten uns sehr wohl auf der Fidelito Ranche. Die Kinder genossen es im Garten zu spielen, die Hunde zu füttern und zu duschen, sowie den tollen Reitausflug mit Leon. Wir haben die ruhige Lage sehr geschätzt, konnten aber auch schnell in die grösseren Städte gelangen.

La casa estaba impecable, tal como se muestra en las fotos. Muy cómoda, bien equipada y en una ubicación excelente. La comunicación con el anfitrión fue rápida y amable en todo momento. Nos sentimos como en casa y sin duda volveríamos. ¡Gracias por todo!

Pia's place is probably my favorite AirBnb ever. It's a little beachside oasis right in the heart of Santa Teresa. Walk across the beautifully landscaped yard and onto the sand of one of the best beaches in Costa Rica. Iguanas, monkeys, butterflies and birds everywhere. A great hotel next door for good meals and pool time for kids. Pia is an exceptionally cool and kind and helpful host. And the house itself is awesome -- beautifully designed, well maintained, gorgeous. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Such a beautiful place with beautiful views. we especially enjoyed the hammocks along the property looking out on the ocean as well as the breakfast which was absolutely amazing. casa sol was spacious, clean & had beautiful decor. we loved the location, which was close to the beach, nature and waterfalls & the little town. would love to come back again!

Nos encantó la privacidad que ofrece el bungalow, con un perímetro completamente cerrado pero cerca de la piscina y el parqueo. La ubicación fue excelente ya que la playa está a unos 200 MTS, así como el Supermercado más cercano. Esto facilitó mucho nuestra estancia. El equipamiento de la unidad fue satisfactoria con todo lo necesario para cocinar.

We had an amazing two week stay at Casa Camino ground floor! The house was amazing and modern, yet highlighted the surrounding nature beautifully. We saw many monkeys, iguanas, frogs, and more which was special. The location is perfect on the north end of Santa Teresa - away from the busiest part of town, 5 min walk to surf & beach. Mike and his team were great communicators and always helpful with assisting in coordinating activities, taxis, etc. You won’t regret staying here!

Everything about our stay here was a dream, I didn’t want to leave! This place is a little piece of paradise and is so much more than we expected. The place was so clean, the water pressure in the shower was amazing, the property was spectacular! We loved taking a dip in the pool each evening and hearing the howler monkeys each morning, the different birds and other wildlife! Michele is an amazing host - always looking out for his guests and providing advice and recommendations based on our daily plans each time we ran into him - he truly cares about his guests and wants your stay to be as perfect as you do. He let us check in early when we arrived in Montezuma, he also recommended we check out late as he had no guests coming the day we left. I cannot say anything bad about this place!

We had the best time at Villa Makai! Josefina was amazing to work with and was super responsive and helpful with local recommendations and helping us secure an ATV for our arrival. The house was unreal, with ocean views and open concept. Amazing appliances and grill, making it easy to feel at home!!! The beds were unreal comfortable and the cleaning service daily was such a nice touch to keep it feeling fresh!!! we loved the location of this spot as well, in the heart of town, but just far enough up the road so that you could escape the craziness. We love ST! Thanks again :)

Un lugar privado, muy seguro y bastante cómodo. Volvería sin pensarlo

El lugar está alejado del centro de Montezuma pero muy cerca del mismo. Cerca de Cobano, cerca de Santa Teresa. Sumamente tranquilo con vista al mar muy seguro si apagas todas las luces en la noche se puede ver un cielo espectacular y estrellado. Con arboles de mango a su alrededor. En nuestra estadía pudimos ver monos cariblancos, lapas, osos hormigueros y demás. Se duerme placenteramente y se pierde el sentido del tiempo. Recomendamos el lugar y Don William otro de los anfitriones sumamente servicial, amable y simpático. Esperemos volver nuevamente!

Todo muy bonito. Excelente Ubicación , la casa preciosa, host increíble . 10/10 a pesar de los trabajadores alrededor de la propiedad . Muchísima iluminación en los cuartos en las mañanas . Definitivamente se necesita 4x4 para llegar .

Pura vida at its max. Pure relaxation, comfort, safety. Zeidy’s food absolute perfection, the kids kept saying it wasn’t even real, calling it dream food. Pool is bigger than what the pictures show, beach wonderful, restaurant down the road a neat little touch for a dinner. We got horses and massages right at the house. The team is fantastic and Jose was wonderful to line it all up. Our private driver that Jose arranged was just wonderful and accommodating to any needs. We would give 10 stars if we could, just like other reviews. Stay here. Or don’t, which will clear up more space in the calendar for us to come back :) :)

Uno de los mejores airbnb en donde nos hemos quedado en la playa. Es muy fácil para llegar. Las indicaciones son muy precisas. La casa tiene 4 cuartos grandes con todas las comodidades necesarias, camas muy confortables y aire acondicionado. La Cocina está perfectamente equipada, es muy amplia y fresca. Tiene una parrilla para BBQ muy grande, de gas, que nos facilitó muchísimo las cosas ya que éramos un grupo familiar grande. Lo mejor que tiene esta casa es su ubicación frente a la playa de montezuma. A solo unos cuantos pasos caminando. Desde la casa y el jardín se ve toda clase de animales silvestres. En solo 4 días Pudimos ver Monos capuchinos, monos aulladores, iguanas, pericos, guacamayas, pizotes, y ballenas, Si! Ballenas! Que nadan en mar abierto frente a la costa de la península. Definitivamente me Volvería a hospedar en la casa de Karen, súper Recomendado

El alojamiento espectacular: tiene diferentes ambientes, vista hermosa, piscina super chiva, muy moderno y equipado, super tranquilo el lugar, espacio de parqueo, camas muy cómodas. Se requiere vehículo 4x4. Disfrutamos muchísimo del lugar. Super recomendado!

Mitten in der Natur (dem Wald und seiner Tierwelt), und doch in 15 Min. über eine Treppe (ca. 100 Höhenmeter) zum weiten Traumstrand. Ein grandioser Blick über den Wald zum Meer. Natürliches, wohlschmeckendes Wasser aus eigener Quelle, nicht chloriert! Starkes Wlan (Starlink-gespeist), abschaltbar für Strahlen-Sensible. „Profi“-Sortiment an Edelstahltöpfen/-pfannen und -messern. Absolute Stille - bis auf die wunderbaren Geräusche der Tierwelt. In der Nacht ein berauschender Sternenhimmel, grandiose Sonnenaufgänge. Bei Bedarf verleiht Joachim ein Quad / ATV, mit dem wir unsere Einkäufe tätigen und das Umfeld ausgiebig erkunden konnten. Geheimtip für Bio-Fans: Die Green World in Santa Teresa. Tip für den absoluten Flow: Mit dem Quad bei Ebbe über den Strand von Manzanillo „gleiten“. Die Betreuung: sehr kurze Antwortzeiten, schnelle, wirksame Hilfe, absolute Privatsphäre. Danke Joachim für diese Erfahrung!
