The Casa del Capitano is located on the top of Monte Grosso in the National park of the tuscan archipelago. The location is unique on the island and from here you have a fantastic view of the city of Portoferraio, Piombino, Corsica, Capraia and Gorgona. The house was restored during a project lasting several years, in close collaboration with the National Park and was designed to be self-sufficient and ecological. Here you use purely the energy of the sun, without having to renounce luxury.

A staircase with a marble base leads to a wooden door at the top, flush against a white wall. A golden railing runs alongside the stairs, offering a touch of elegance. A fire extinguisher is visible on the upper landing.

A 5-minute walk to the center and 10 to the main supermarkets, this apartment is suitable for those who want to have amenities at their fingertips while having their own privacy. The apartment is spacious, bright, cool and ventilated making even the hottest days bearable, it is equipped with an air conditioner in the entrance and fans in the rooms. The bathroom and kitchen have been recently renovated. We warmly welcome dogs accustomed to cats, cats and humans well educated by the latter.

Two shopping malls are easily accessible and bus stops are very close. Possibility of parking along the street and at the bottom of the street.

The hosts, location and apartment are three rare gems! The apartment is very well done and was very well stocked and very clean, really spotless. There was even sparkling & mineral water in the fridge and three kinds of coffee. The location is very close to the beach, to Baia di Baratti, to Etruscan old cities and many other beautiful places. Medieval towns turned vibrant city are also nearby. Really so much to see & explore! Kristina and Alessandro are fantastic hosts! So friendly, professional, thoughtful, and eager to help you in any way, including with great recommendations on where to go. The last day they even bought vegan croissants for us! We highly recommend this place!

We were welcomed in a peaceful environment, surrounded by nature and the silence of the countryside that contributed to our regenerating rest. The accommodation is a beautiful country house with ample space and equipped with everything you need. The company of the kittens and the crowing of the rooster were a very pleasant surprise. The host was very helpful and kind to recommend local beaches and restaurants. We felt right at home.

A stone pathway leads through the manicured lawn towards a single-story house, its entrance framed by green shrubs and trees. Sunlight bathes the area, highlighting the welcoming facade and outdoor seating arrangement visible in the vicinity.

We were only in Piombino for one evening, and our stay at StellaMarina was absolutely perfect and just what we needed! The communication leading up to the rental was excellent, and Massimo meeting us to escort us into the town with our car was outstanding! The apartment is perfectly located mere steps from the water’s edge with views of Elba. All the amenities were as described and perfect. As we are on a longer holiday with various stops, it was import at for us to have access to a washing machine. We did our laundry and hung it to dry in the fresh clean air. The apartment was spotless. We had a wonderful evening watching the sunset with an aperitif in hand, followed by dinner at a fabulous restaurant that our host recommended. The following morning before departure, we took a sip in the sea and enjoyed more of the idyllic streets of the town. We would definitely book StellaMarina again! Grazie mille! A presto! My husband and I spent two nights in this beautiful country house, close to the sea. We were pleasantly welcomed by Marco and his family. It was two relaxing and comfortable days for the area we know a little. The house has everything and is very tidy and clean, and the outdoor space is also really well maintained. We think we will visit Piero's house soon.
