1 Gloucester Cottages is nestled in the quaint mining village of Stanton Drew in the Chew Valley, Somerset, The village is home of the prehistoric Stanton Drew stone circles, the second largest stone circle in Britain after Avebury. The cottage is great for families and couples, it has a fully equipped kitchen and is furnished through out, a king sized bed and double with all linen included. We have fast wifi, parking and an open working fireplace for those cosy nights in with a bottle of red.

House rules: Quiet time and 10pm end time on hot tub. A detached luxury two bedroom, two bathroom, contemporary barn conversion with a fabulous 44' reception room, with stunning views, chefs kitchen, hot tub and located in an AONB, 1 minutes drive to a fantastic pub. Fabulous countryside walks, fishing, 7 miles to Wells and 12 miles to Bath and Bristol. The barn is not suitable for young children. Located side on, on a small "B" road, the road has become much busier recently. Sorry no pets.

There is a petrol station with a convenience store and post office in the village. Opposite the garage is a pub called The Temple Inn- just a 5 minute walk away. A farm shop is 5 minute drive away and a local chinese takeaway within walking distance. There is a hourly bus that will take you directly to Bristol city centre or Wells.

A perfect base for an active break there are an abundance of fantastic walking/running or cycling routes from the doorstep, yet we are also only a short hop from the cities of Bristol, Bath and Wells. In addition to the beautiful surroundings we really are spoilt for choice with great pubs and restaurants nearby!
