Vacation rentals with a pool in Buxton

This property is exactly as described and as the pictures show. It is lovely inside and out. It is extremely clean and well appointed. The off street parking allowed more than enough room for our Yukon XL. The neighborhood is very quaint and felt very safe. Gia, the host, responded to my late day request to stay at the property very promptly. When we travel to this area in the future we will seek out this property again for our stay.

Our stay was pretty good overall. When we first got there, we encountered a small issue that needed attention, but honestly, the hosts were amazing – super responsive and helpful in getting it sorted, which really made a big difference. The interior of the house looks just like in the pictures! Everything was clean and had so many thoughtful details that really caught my eye. There was so much space for everyone, and we had plenty of clean towels and paper goods for our entire stay. The house also has a very spacious refrigerator, perfect for fitting all our food for the duration of the stay, and it's incredibly well-equipped if you need to cook anything. The location was super convenient for us. We were visiting the area with 30 other people who were staying at a different house in Hatteras, so we felt it was very easy to access any part of the area from here. I would definitely stay here in the future again! Thanks so much for hosting us!

We had such a great stay at the Shore Shack! It was the perfect little escape—super cozy, clean, and well thought out. One of the best parts was how pet-friendly it was. The fully fenced-in yard was a huge plus for our pup, and it made relaxing so much easier knowing he could safely roam around. The hot tub was amazing after a long day, and the space felt really peaceful and private. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into creating a welcoming spot. Highly recommend for a quick getaway—especially if you’re bringing your dog along!

Kate was great! The place was beautiful, and all amenities were equal to or better than advertised. Everything was clean. The heated pool and hot tub were ready for us... The decks were great, especially the upper roof deck where you could start early and watch sunrise and go back up at night for sunset... Although the house is in a neighborhood this house is situated so that nobody is near you. The only sort of nearby house faces away from you, so privacy was high, and noise was low. The only thing we contacted Kate about was that when we got there the wifi wasn't working. She responded promptly with the news that the entire Outer Banks wifi was down. So not only was it out of her hands, but she also sleuthed out the problem and reported it to us right away. And it was back up the next morning. Avon is pretty small, and that's a big part of the charm. But we found several good restaurants. Ketch 55 in Avon was very good. Others a few miles south...

A beautiful condo in a beautiful location! The furniture was very comfortable and the condo was fully stocked. The living/dining space was bigger than we expected from the pictures which was a nice surprise. The community was peaceful and had tons of opportunities for walking around.

This is a perfect place to stay while on Ocracoke! Very comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed a swim in the pool too! This spot is quiet and lovely. We enjoyed our morning coffee around the pool and enjoyed the smell of jasmine that was starting to open up and listened to the mourning doves. Easy walk to Ocracoke Coffee and The Back Porch restaurant. Don’t forget to shop at Bella Fiore and Books to be Red. We will be back!

Wonderful stay. The place was as described. Bathrooms updated. Place was extremely clean. All mentioned amenities were available. Elevator not working due to storm previous week. Not fault of owners. 3 flights of stairs doable with wide steps. View was incredible from balcony and main bedroom. Pool clean. Beach access steps away. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. Nice to have plenty of bath towels. Laundry facilities helpful. Total cost $3 in quarters for both wash and dry. Excellent stay. Kim was extremely responsive. Looking forward to returning.

Diane's place was just what we were looking for. Great view of the Sound and just a short walk to the ocean! The sunsets were beautiful with a great view from the balcony. Would definitely stay here again
