Vacation rentals with beach access in Buxton

Have no fear staying here! Bonnie’s place is amazing and a wonderful location. It was easy to find and so comfortable. It’s perfect for a couple’s getaway to the Outer Banks. Bonnie was so friendly and available for any questions we had. Very very clean place with a comfortable bed!

We loved spending the weekend at Papa’s Place. My boyfriend and I were looking for a low key, quiet spot to get away and relax, and this place was perfect! It is walking distance to several good restaurants and the beach while still being tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The people of the neighborhood and of Buxton as a whole were friendly and helpful. Papa’s place is the perfect size for a couple, and the full kitchen has everything you need to stay in and cook. The highlight of our trip was sitting out on their porch with their cat Juan!

Travis and Danielle were wonderful hosts and have a lovely and charming studio apartment. We felt right at home and will definitely come back.

I had an amazing few days at Jayme's place. Everything was exactly as described. I look forward to returning. This may sound like a cliche, but it truly is a hidden gem. The apartment is spacious and welcoming. Perfect for a small family or getaway with a few friends. I was able to visit with my family, while having my own quiet space where I could work in the day and see my kids/grandkids in the afternoons and evenings. Just steps away, you can rent a bike and go anywhere. The area is also very walkable. A wonderful restaurant is also just steps away from the property. Everything is very close, including groceries, restaurants, and things to do. And, of course, there is a very easy short stroll to the beach so no worries about looking for parking :) Jayme is super friendly and helpful. It was a treat to meet her. I don't think I have ever met a host in person. I have been fortunate to have wonderful AirBnB experiences, but this has been one of my best.

We had a Wonderful stay in Hatteras at Wendy’s place. Right across the street from the ocean. Quiet neighborhood and all the locals are very friendly. Beds slept so comfortable! Would stay there again.

the vintage mermaid cottage was exactly how it looks in the pictures - very cozy, beautiful garden, extremely close to the beach! it was the perfect, peaceful beach house. i LOVED the mermaid aesthetics all around the home as well 🥰🧜🏼‍♀️ Jenni was extremely quick with responses before and during our trip. she does a great job with giving thorough instructions on how to check in and out and her amenities. thank you for a great weekend getaway!!

Fantastic views, cozy, great bed… lots of positives to say about this gem! The owners were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Fantastic back porch overlooking the Pamlico Sound. Very quick drive to Hatteras and Buxton, where there are plenty of fantastic restaurants. And a huge hot tub!

This stay was wonderful. The place was very comfortable, clean, and exactly as described. It’s located in a quiet, peaceful area that’s not busy at all—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We loved how private it felt, with no noise or crowds nearby. The best part was the million dollar, unobstructed view of the ocean—absolutely breathtaking and worth every penny. Nancy was very responsive, making check-in and communication seamless. We would definitely stay here again!

Paradise!! This home makes you feel like you’re living in paradise! The pictures capture the home but to be there live is on another level! The home was extremely clean and fit our family of 7 perfectly but could have easily added more people to the home. We cooked every day and all cooking utensils we needed were in the home. We walked to Food Lion and Duck Donuts (10-15 min) because there is a sidewalk on the main road. I would absolutely come back to this home and would HIGHLY recommend The Beach House to everyone I know who would like to visit OBX.

Janelle and Adrian are absolutely wonderful hosts. Their home is beautiful and perfect. In every way the second you walk in you feel like you are on vacation and you don’t wanna leave. We actually extended our stay because the house was so beautiful and the location of the home was so perfect that we Just needed that one more night before we were ready to say goodbye. They are so quick to respond if you have a problem with anything and they immediately fix it for you I will never use any other Airbnb again when traveling to that area.

Our stay at Nita’s home was amazing! The home was exactly as described and perfect for a quick get away to the beach. The beach was also right across the street which was great! We loved the fully functional kitchen, and the king bed was super comfortable. Also, it was a short walk to an awesome coffee shop and a few good restaurants. We would definitely recommend a stay at Nita’s home and hope to be returning to Avon soon!

It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay in this great location steps from the beach and pier. Having access to bikes, hammock, beach chairs and beach towels was a great bonus. The outdoor shower was fun! Definitely hope to return. Tami was great, always quick to respond and everything was well detailed in the description and instructions.

Large property right on the beach. The hot tub was definitely a plus. We just had to flip the breaker one level below. Had pots and pans in as well as dishes for cooking I just would recommend stopping 35 minutes before you get to the property at fresh market/Publix as there are not any large grocery stores close by aside from a Food Lion that is about 25 minutes away. The interior was modern and very nicely designed!

I am pleased to say that my stay at the house was absolutely incredible. The house was in immaculate condition and it felt like a normal house. With a full kitchen and a laundry machine and drier it felt like a perfect vacation home to me. There were plenty of things to do around the house. I did a lot of fishing in the Avon area and the house fired my needs perfectly. The 2 hoses out side the house and the outside shower made it super easy to rinse my gear off. It wasn’t super far from a few different beach accesses. I would 100% stay at this house again. I highly recommend it if you’re thinking about traveling to the obx.

This was our second time staying at Nora’s place, the Red Drum. Nora did a wonderful job from everything inside to the outside. Very cozy and an oasis after spending the day on the beach. The beds sleep great and the kitchen is thoughtfully laid out and lacks for nothing. Extremely clean and very tastefully decorated. Also centrally located. Nora responds immediately to any questions and has the needed answer. We will 100% be back and have been very happy with both stays! Thanks so much Nora!

This was our 2nd time staying at Claudia's and it was just as perfect as we remember. Very clean, so much character, and super close to town. We can't wait to come back!

What a magnificent place to recharge and relax! The condo was a perfect place for me to spend my first-ever two-week vacation in Avon. The views from the deck are magnificent . The condo had so many nice touches including games, puzzles, a coffee bar, and just about everything you need for a beach vacation. I have nothing but praise for this condo and Michelle, who was incredibly responsive and proactive in communicating. I would be thrilled to return in the future ! Such a perfect vacation spot .

I only have positive feedback on this unit and the great customer service we received from the Vacasa team from booking to checkout. This unit is easy access, in a good location, has a great view, and was very clean and well maintained. Just the right size for a couple or small family . The complex, pool, hot tub and the boardwalk to the beach were all well kept and maintained. We highly recommend this unit and Vacasa to anyone looking to visit the area.

Very communicative, bare bones, just as advertised. The home was pristinely clean. The views were beautiful, gorgeous sound views from the balcony. The beach is just a short walk away and the pier is a 5 minute drive. Perfect location in Avon & Mike is super friendly! Be mindful that you will have to bring bath towels, but other necessities were supplied by the cleaners and lasted us through a full week. This was transparently advertised though. The living room is not quite as comfortable as we would’ve liked, but that’s just our preference. The rest of the house was very comfortable and we were pleased with the furnishing. The space is clearly well taken care of. Avon overall is a wonderful place to visit. The locals were probably the most friendly we’ve experienced in the OBX. The area is very remote and you can see the stars and even have a bonfire on the beach. Plenty of free parking and easy public beach access. Really good restaurants too. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!

All instructions were clear and we were even notified that we could check in early which was a bonus. The condo was clean and well furnished. The bed was very comfortable. The location is wonderful. Within easy walking distance to the beach, to shopping and dining and to the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. And the boardwalk through the marsh is especially nice. We will definitely be returning!

This is a fantastic condo with everything you need to be cozy and comfortable for a week… we adored the view! It was quiet and clean… top notch stay!!

This place looks exactly as depicted on line. It is tastefully decorated and very clean. In an area with large ocean front homes, this condo is perfect for a couple or a small family.
