Cottage vacation rentals in Burt Lake

Latitude 44 was an amazing place to stay! It was very clean, neat, and exactly as described in the listing. The outside space was so nice and we enjoyed spending lots of time out there. It is a great secluded place close to many small towns and we loved being able to go visit all of them. We will definitely be back!

Omg, I don’t have the words for how awesome this place is. First, it is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. Second, it’s not far from anything and third, it’s so peaceful. I could get lost in pure bliss there. Weather I was in the hot tub, the porch, at the table on the deck, the fire pit, the dock, or even just sitting on the beach collecting rocks. Absolute Heaven. I’ve even told the rest of my family that next time we go to Michigan, we’re going to Traverse City and we’re staying at this house. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you!

This cozy, quiet, very clean and homey space has become our favorite rental home of all we have rented. The personal touches really made us feel we were staying at a family or friend’s home. It had paper ware, seasonings, clean pots pans, coffee, zip lock bags, candles throughout the home. The bedding, pillows and towels were top notch. Not to mention the wonderful hot tub, kayaks, dock space, grill and fire pit. I will make mention the 2 bedroom are upstairs. 2 full bathrooms but bathroom upstairs next to bed rooms is a bathtub only. Mark was so pleasant and attentive to answer any of our questions and we look forward to a return trip.

My mother, sister, and I stayed at the cottage for a mother-daughter weekend. It was perfect for us and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The listing was accurate and everything was as described, or even better. The cottage is decorated with charming furniture, art, and antiques. Everything was easy to find, and the kitchen was especially well-appointed. There were instructions for everything, including the fireplace, hot tub, and sauna (all of which we enjoyed). Perhaps best of all, at least for our quiet and cozy weekend, there isn't a single TV in the house! Plenty of places to sit down and read or just relax and enjoy each other's company. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, and downtown Petoskey was a 10 minute drive away. Very convenient. Clara was a communicative and kind host, and I enjoyed interacting with her. We definitely want to return in the summer months to enjoy the gardens and spend more time outside. Thank you for helping to make our weekend special!

This was a beautiful home located on a tranquil lake with serene views and so much local wildlife! My family spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor patio, bonfire pit and watching swans, ducks and birds from the dock. The home itself has comfortable lounging space for a bigger family and includes a well stocked kitchen. The space is very clean. The local area has bike paths which are very scenic as well. Highly recommend!

Booked the Grumpy Bear for my Bachelor party and it was a great experience for everyone. Kristi was friendly, clear and extremely helpful. Would definitely book again!

We (and our dogs) had an amazing time at Nathan's beautiful home. The setting is ideal—the house is right on the water, the amenities are fantastic, and the neighborhood is beautiful and serene. The house has everything you would want. There is a sweet deck and outdoor area along with a dock and your own private beach—the next house in either direction is almost a half-a-mile away. The perimeter around the house is essentially fully-fenced, which allowed us to swim, paddle board, and hang outside with the pups without worries. Nathan is a great host: He checked in throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. He provided clear instructions about the house and its features, as well as great local recommendations. We really can't say enough great things about our stay. It was by far the most peaceful and relaxing trip we've had and look forward to coming back soon!

Great place for a family of 4. lots to do around or just sit by or in the lake. Wrap around porch and open living space with lots of windows overlooking the lake through a thin line of trees.

This is our second time staying at Laurie’s Airbnb and we love it. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the winter wonderland up there. Laurie is very communicative and very helpful. The place is comfy and we love that we can bring our dogs!

Comfortable cottage with beautiful views of Mullett Lake. Lakeside fire pit. Listened to the waves at night. Close to trails for dog walking and biking. 🐕‍🦺☀️🌊 I am originally from Cheboygan and was looking for my own place to stay when visiting family. Would book again. Jake was communicative when I had a couple questions. We felt like guests in a historic family home, because we were. We enjoyed seeing some of the memorabilia displayed throughout the cottage.

The guest house is perfect for our family of 5 adults and our dog. We stayed 3 nights and spent 2 full days visiting the MacKinac Island. The house has everything we need for a comfortable vacation. We cooked 2 dinners, the night we arrived and the next evening. Thank you

Tamara and Jason were fantastic hosts! They have the most charming, cozy and peaceful place right along the river. Check in was super easy and the house was exactly what we were looking for. Everything that we wanted to do and see was just a short drive. I would recommend this home to anyone! And hopefully the next time we make a trip up north, this cozy little house will be available!

Freshwater was one of the best companies I’ve ever dealt with for a vacation rental. They are extremely responsive and took care of any issues immediately. Would definitely recommend dealing with this company for any rental they manage.

This place was such a gem! Stayed for a quick long weekend for some skiing at the highlands which was about a 20 min drive. This place was clean and beds were cozy. The driveway was plowed for us which was super nice. Easy to find with some close and convenient restaurants. No complaints! Would absolutely return

We had a great stay at Annie’s place. She was easy to get a hold of. The place was clean, well-furnished/decorated, had everything you could ever need, and was minutes away from the slopes. We are already talking about planning a stay here again next year!

This home was a nice winter stay with lots of space and sleeping options for many people. The snow removal crew kept on top of things despite all the snow we were getting.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Beaver Tales! The cottage is a peaceful hideaway with incredible views. The home was clean, well-stocked, and had plenty of space for 2 adults, 3 kids under 10, and our small dog. The beach right in front is a mix of rocks and sand as the host described, but with water shoes the swimming was great and we spent hours rock hunting. The drop off is very gradual, perfect for the kids. The water was crystal clear most of the time but can get churned up depending on the wind and waves. There are also perfect sandy beaches within a 5-minute drive in either direction. Elizabeth was very responsive and flexible, and it was a wonderful experience all around. This was our first visit to the island and we'll certainly be back!
