17thC Barn in a Vineyard

This was a much needed break for my wife and I. This part of Devon is stunning Knowstone is gorgeous. Debbie and her husband were welcoming and helpful. I look forward to the first vintage from their fledgling vineyard. The Michelin starred Mason's Arms was a joy for our evening meal. Get to that pub while you can as they are looking for a buyer. All highly recommended.

Two young alpacas are shown interacting closely in a grassy field. One alpaca has a distinct black and white coat, while the other features a warm brown hue. Tall grass and small wildflowers frame the scene, contributing to the serene rural setting.

Farm stay in Rural North Devon

WillRating, 5 stars9 months ago
My partner and I had a great weekend away at the Moonacre Farm! We arrived quite late, but was greeted by Alison who was lovely. She had set up the lodge perfectly, with fairly lights lit and all the amenities described. She provided info on the surrounding area and was amazing to us all weekend. The place was very clean and had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on. In the morning, we woke up and fed the alpacas which was an amazing experience. Whilst staying here, we drove to Tavistock and Totnes which was only an hour away - great location. Perfect if you want a quiet weekend away.

Warwick Lodge

We had a great stay- the lodge was cosy and had so much space for our family! It was very helpful that it has two bathrooms and showers also! We had everything that we needed including some lovely board games & table football / pool which the children enjoyed playing! We enjoyed the balcony as the lodge is a real sun trap in the mornings and we enjoyed some lovely April sunshine! Thank you!

Bramble Cottage, cosy cottage with indoor pool

FionaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We really enjoyed staying here during February half term (family of 4 - kids 11 and 7). The weather was fairly terrible but it didn’t matter as we had use of the pool and my husband was happy fishing in the rain! Accommodation well equipped and clean and really warm. The pool is beautiful and the rota system is good meaning you know you have the pool to yourself for half the day, then the other cottage gets it for the other half (other than the cheeky people next door on Thursday morning who ignored the rota and went in anyway when it was our turn…) The cottage is so peaceful with beautiful countryside around and our dog loved the field and woods. We went to RHS Rosemoor and highly recommend The Globe at Beaford for good food and really friendly service. It was exactly what we needed for a relaxing few days away.

'Rabbit Hole' - The Perfect 2 Bed Forest Hide Away

KatieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Jane was an excellent host, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable on the area. We did find that for us a pub wasnt easily walkable, the map shows it as a mile away or so, but is a Devon mile. But cannot fault the host or accommodation at all. Basket of goodies on arrival and a goodie bag for the ride home which was really appreciated, especially by the kids. The dogs enjoyed their holiday too and only just recovered from all of the exploring. We ticked off a fair few national trust places too.

We loved our stay at Anna’s place. It’s in the beautiful North Devon countryside but well situated to explore the rest of the area. We enjoyed using the pool but meeting the animals was definitely a highlight! We’ll be back to stay again :)
