Dunchraobhan House, Isle of Jura

HuwRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a wonderful place. I have been coming to the island since I was a boy and this was the first year I could bring my own child to enjoy the most magical place. The house is perfect. A stunning location, clean, warm and spacious. We had a wonderful week and made some truly special memories. We will return!

IT’S A MUST STAY Tricia and Frank are absolutely amazing, thoughtful, friendly, wonderful, and easy to communicate. My wife and I totally recommend this place. It’s so beautiful, well maintained, squeaky clean, peaceful, relaxing and homey. We totally fell in love with this place. It’s by far one of the best places we have stayed. Whatever you needed was there. We had an amazing time here and we will definitely be back again. I’m still wowed by their beautiful place and hospitality.

Sea view 1, green meadows, sheep and wide sky

StewartRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The apartment was very spacious, well furnished, with all the facilities we needed. We were fortunate to be on Islay with warm sunny weather, so the private patio and seating overlooking the water was a great bonus. Birte was very helpful with advice when we arrived, and with clear labels on equipment, so everything went smoothly. We were able to park our car in the secure area behind the gate. Islay was of course a fabulous place for walking and nature. Various small cafes were mainly closed during our stay, which was Sunday to Wednesday in May, but we enjoyed good meals, drinks or coffees at Sea Salt, the Bridgend hotel and Lochside hotel. Strangely, we didn't manage to visit any distillery visitor centre.

Ideal for two people, and all facilities excellent. Great to have air fryer, hob and microwave, fridge ,washing machine, and hair dryer .Also really handy to have tea, coffee, orange juice, milk, butter and chocolate biscuits provided! As well as cooking oil etc. She has thought of everything. So much better than a hotel! Will definitely recommend and use again if we are back . Thank you.
