The Piggery - Award-winning Exmoor stone cottage

WendyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Ali is a fantastic host, she communicated with me really well in the lead up to our visit and once we were there was only to pleased to help with anything we needed. The Piggery is a gorgeous property tucked away in remote and peaceful area. We had a fantastic time and will be reccomending The Piggery to friends and family

The Hayloft Withypool, Exmoor

MattRating, 5 starstoday
This accommodation is beautifully located to explore Exmoor. The room itself is wonderfully clean, quiet, and comfortable. An excellent assortment of breakfast items were provided (I'm a big fan of the scones!), and Lynda is a clear communicator and very good host. We especially liked the little library of books focused on the history and sights of the local area.

Counting Sheep Shepherd Hut

Great spot, loved the hot tub and the thoughtful touches. Very peaceful area. Worth noting for those with mobility issues that parking is down a farm track and you can’t park near the Shepards hut so need to get a lift with Karen/carry luggage and food up the track if she’s not available.

The Hoot

SamRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Just back from a magical honeymoon stay at The Hoot—absolutely fabulous….. even better than the photos. The energy is incredible: soul-soothing, serene, and full of love. Every detail has been thought of, with quirky decor and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfy, and soaking in the outdoor tub during a rainstorm was amazing. Jan and Dunc are kind, thoughtful hosts who give you complete space to fully unwind. Can’t imagine anyone regretting a stay here and we will definitely return ✨🌿🛁
A balcony with a wrought iron railing offers a view of greenery and surrounding hills. Two white chairs are positioned on the terracotta tiled floor, accompanied by a small potted plant. The entrance door stands ajar, leading to the inviting interior.

The Old Chapel - Dulverton

KiraRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a great long weekend at the old chapel in Dulverton. The house is very cosy, spacious, clean and bright. The covered balcony is great for sitting outside even in rainy weather. The kitchen is very well equipped with utensils, plenty of pots, pans etc. (the only thing that could be improved here is the provision of a few basics like spices and oil). Dulverton is a cute village with a range of lovely shops and good footpaths around. A great base for exploring Exmoor and the North Devon coast. Very good value for money and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Exmoor log cabin with stunning lake views.

ChristineRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Caroline and Brian were excellent hosts. The Lodge is very remote so you really do need to take food with you but Caroline had left milk in the fridge, chocolate cookies, teabags and coffee for our arrival which were very welcome, as were the large box of chocolate seashells and the bunch or carnations! Thanks also for the toiletries - again great to start you off if you didn't bring any. There is a Co-op 7 miles away in Dulverton for provisions. The view of the lake is spectacular and the deck is great for eating and relaxing. The walk round the lake is about 8 miles and we only tackled bits of it! The dawn chorus is amazing at this time of year (June) and watch out for the barn owl across the field as she hunts for her supper. Caroline and Brian seem to have thought of everything and I have no hesitation in recommending the lodge.
