Very nice apartment with stunning views!! Everything is as advertised and more! The inverter a nice touch and helped us with a prolonged power outage. The only small niggle is to maybe have a torch or flashlight handy for cases of prolonged power outages. Even the inverter ran out and we only had power back by 19:00, after dark. The load shedding bulbs do help but a torch or light will make life much easier. Otherwise an excellent place and we enjoyed ourselves!

Beautiful view, nice apartment. We had everything we needed and the boys loved the complex where they played pool when we got back home in the evening. Keep in mind you need a car ir get an Uber to get to town, which is pretty close, like just 3km away from the main shops and restaurants. I’d recommend the place!

Jos’s unit is a fantastic choice in Franschhoek, especially if you are planning to do the wine tram as it’s just around the corner from the unit. The place was very clean and has such a lovely atmosphere. We will be happy to stay here again!

Lagoon House

We were three families with tween-aged children wanting to spend some time together - and the house worked extremely well! The location is beautiful, and felt safe to sleep with doors and windows open as it’s on a secure estate. It also meant we could run / walk along the lagoon path without any worries. Oliver, who lives at the house, was wonderful! He came in and cleaned for us each day - which really made it feel like a holiday :-) The house is incredibly well equipped, and the open plan living / dining / sitting and braai room make for a super social time together. The main bedroom is out of this world, and all the other rooms were fabulous too. We’d highly recommend staying in Lela’s house, and hope to be back :-)

We only had a short one night stay, but David was a pleausre to deal with and the dwelling has a great location right on the ocean. Out your door onto the rocks. We did not have time bit there is a clubhouse with gym and entertainments 50m away. We were sorry we could not stsy longer.

The house more than delivered- it was beautiful, well equipped for entertaining and very spacious. The kitchen had bar fridges, a dishwasher and a coffee machine - which made me so happy. The bathrooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. So many couches made it easy to grab a book from the shelf and relax, or just gaze out at the beautiful ocean. My kids were busy at all times, playing with the many toys, in the gym, swimming in the pool or playing volley ball. Cooking was easy as their is so much space, and we had to experience both braai areas, both on the balcony with the ocean view as well as inside. From the spacious and glass-panelled balconies we felt like we had the best view in the area - we spotted a school of dolphins that passed right by the shore. De Kelders will definitely see us during whale season, and hopefully again at Heaven-on-Earth. Thank you Divan and Esher for opening your beautiful home to us we felt right at home.
