I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

Very good stay at Joaquina's! The accommodation was perfect and had everything we needed for our stay. The terrace with table and barbecue is a big plus. Joaquina took great care of us by handing us the keys late at night and welcoming us with small sweets. We will definitely be back during our next stay.

We had a great stay, we will definitely go back. The house is extremely comfortable, beautiful and versatile, it gives both a warm and cold height. The location is perfect, both for those who want to know Gerês, and for those who just want to rest and enjoy the amenities of the house. The hosts are super friendly and flexible, I highly recommend!

excellent stay, only issue was with sleeping as the double bed mattress had plastic wrapping which can be noisy. no washing machine. Definitely would stay again.

From the absolutely extraordinary house, to the landscape that looks like it came from a movie, to Mr. Manuel who left us speechless because he is so friendly and dear. There is no better place to rest, and we left thinking about when we'll return. The photos don't do the place justice, at all… Very spacious house, we stayed in a T1 and there was plenty of space left, well decorated, very modern, with an incredible outdoor space, it's just magical to go to the balcony and just hear the birds. Thank you Lucia and thank you to Mr. Manuel, who made this stay fantastic and want to return!

This has probably been the been AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The new house built on top of an ancient mill is really special and very welcoming with great attention to detail, the host was extremely welcoming and attentive to our requests and the location of the house allowed both for sightseeing in Guimaraes and Braga, as well as for excursions to the mountains and the sea side. We stayed for a week and the longer we stayed the more we appreciated our living environment in the middle of a flowing river stream.

We had an amazing stay! The location is beautiful & so peaceful. Close enough to Porto, while providing a nice escape from the busy city. Francisca was responsive and helpful throughout our stay, even extending herself to a few surprises that made our stay extra special. I will miss having breakfast outside with the beautiful view of the valley neighborhood. Hope to have an opportunity to visit again. Would recommend to anyone visiting Portugal!

We were only a weekend in Braga, on a quick visit, but the stay couldn't have gone better. The accommodation is very welcoming, well equipped and fully matches the photographs. We also highlight the friendliness, availability and attention of Carla and Arlindo, which were tireless. We feel very welcome. We warmly recommend and we look forward to returning for a next visit!

Ana was a kind and helpful hostess. Her father met us at the door with the keys, and gave us a tour of the apartment The apartment is just as described, although the beds were a bit too firm for my liking. The setting is perfect. It’s a quick walk to the heart of the city, with tree lined streets, numerous parks and flower gardens. There are also numerous excellent restaurants in the neighborhood.

Jorge was an amazing host. Great communication and very accommodating to our needs. His apartment is spotless. One of the cleanest, modern apartments I've stayed in. It has every possible amenity and Jorge provided us with thoughtful snacks, water and even a bottle of vino verde. Highly recommended. Just a short walk into the historic center of town. Area is quiet and safe. Guimaraes is a wonderful place to visit

Great location, restaurants, shopping and conveniences (grocery stores) all within walking distance. River path also nearby. Comfortable, clean and charming property with an outdoor space. Would stay here again.

Everything was excellent! The apartment was very clean when we arrived and had everything we needed to feel at home. Modern and comfortable. The outdoor space was also very nice. The ideal place to spend a few days in peace and tranquility.

Review for Airbnb Stay I had a very nice stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and just as described. It’s located on the third floor with no lift, so something to keep in mind if stairs are an issue—but it wasn’t a problem for me. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance to the historic center. The host was very responsive and helpful, providing clear information about the apartment and local recommendations. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Great place! Spacious and beautiful, great location, clean and the terrace was a nice bonus!

We had a great time, the accommodation offered was totally in line with what we had seen in the photos, very clean with good quality furniture, very quiet. The house is beautiful, very well maintained and the garden superb (congratulations to the owners for the maintenance!). André and his wife are very nice and full of attention (for example we received mint and lemons from their garden). Although the house is inhabited by the owners, the private garden of the accommodation and its separate entrance give a real sense of privacy. Access to the pool is very nice when it's hot. Although the accommodation is a little far from the shops (only a bakery and pharmacy nearby), this is largely offset by a very quiet and relaxing environment for a vacation! We'll definitely be back on an upcoming trip to the area. Thank you André for hosting us and see you soon!

There were three of us women friends going to start the Camino Walk. It was the best experience. Philip let us check in early as we had a red eye from Toronto. Paula met us early and helped us check in. The condo is gorgeous. Perfect for us. So clean and do equipped. From the beautiful towels to the plates to the beach chairs. Everyone was wonderful. I couldn't recommend it more. ! Location location!

The accommodation was very spacious and there was ample space to unfold. The ambience is rather functional and not particularly homely but we lacked nothing. You are privately accommodated there, but also anonymous. You won't be making contacts there. The kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine washes well. The wifi router is located in the property and the internet is fast. I particularly liked the large sliding wall with which you can protect the living area from the sun. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable, with the gastronomy in the area offering little change. Shopping facilities are a 15-20 min walk. After all, you have a vacation and plenty of time. We felt comfortable and the place was absolutely worth its money. Thank you

Francisca, in addition to being extremely friendly, is super available and helps in everything that is needed. All the spaces in the house were clean and prepared to welcome us. We really enjoyed the experience, so we highly recommend it!

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

A true haven of peace and regeneration! I had the privilege of enjoying an absolutely memorable stay in a simply wonderful place. The combination of the surrounding nature with the available amenities — swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna — provided unique moments of well-being and tranquility. It was an experience marked by peace, silence and comfort, perfect for disconnecting from the world and renewing energy. The moments together were even more special thanks to the welcoming and thoughtful atmosphere of this space. I leave with the feeling of having really rested, body and mind. A place I wholeheartedly recommend and where I undoubtedly hope to return.

The apartment is very cozy, clean and very spacious. A very communicative host, responds quickly to messages. We received very accurate directions to the apartment, which was very helpful. Location a short walk from the center, but for us it was not a problem - we wanted the apartment to be close to the university (about 10 minutes walk to the university). I would definitely recommend this place!

Wish we could have stayed longer!
